  1. It's the angle of re-entry relative to the atmosphere. While the atmosphere is roughly spherical, just like the earth, you can treat it as a flat plane over a small area. The ship has to enter at a certain angle to avoid things like burning up on re-entry or bouncing off the atmosphere.
  2. The lesson that the Speed Force seemed to want to teach Barry was that he should stop trying to change the future. So, he won't. He won't try to put a ring on her finger. I get the sense that he may have a plan that requires Iris (and perhaps the rest of the gang) to not know what he is up to so that they don't tip off Savitar. Even if the plan works, it's the sort of thing that can cause resentment when all is revealed, leading to future drama and angst that some may see as contrived.
  3. I like humor that goes too far.
  4. It's funny because the dog deserved it. Michael Che says it's also funny because (lol) women can't shoot guns.
  5. They were doing a scratch track, a placeholder that animators can work with. When the animation is done, the real actors record their lines to match the animation.
  6. Maybe the writers were just voicing their opinions about Harambe. For a hero like Barry, I think he understands the need to sometimes use deadly force to save lives, but he sees that as a last resort and he will make a superhuman effort to find another way. That's more laudable than a cop who might be quick on the trigger because that's the easy thing to do.
  7. Eh, we'll just see Prometheus round up Paul, Wild Dog's daughter, and Diggle's wife to use against Oliver's team and we'll either have a Curtis/Paul reconciliation or Curtis angsty over a dead Paul.
  8. If I were a writer on this show, Mon-El pointing out that everything was a bit too lucky/perfect to Winn, then Winn's alien love interest showing up would be a case of foreshadowing.
  9. Does he believe that his secret is still worth killing to protect? Especially if it involves killing someone who he doesn't see as an enemy? People change. Are you saying that Oliver isn't allowed to change?
  10. Does he still believe that? By your logic, does that mean that Oliver couldn't criticize Thea if she actually killed Susan?
  11. I think that Thea's actions are the equivalent of outing Susan if instead of having a relationship with Oliver, she was a closeted lesbian and revealing that would ruin her life/career. I can see a case for Susan being a sufficient risk to justify that course of action. It's a bigger problem for Team Arrow that she didn't run it by Oliver first than it is that she actually did it.
  12. I think that was much more probably to be the last time he tried to get his daughter back after multiple attempts rather than the first time. It's likely that months have passed since his wife died and his daughter was taken away. The shooting occurred during a time when hockey (I assume) was being played and it was cold enough for a mother to tell her daughter to wear a coat because it was cold outside. The phone call probably occurred in May, since that is when the episode aired and TV time of the year generally tracks to real time. Putting on a mask was probably partly an attempt to get out of the downward spiral of drinking and depression brought on by losing the two most important people in his life, or to die trying and put himself out of his misery.
  13. In the phone conversation flashback, he says he messed up and offers to seek counseling so that he can see his daughter. CPS took her away due to an "unsafe environment". I'm not sure how you get the impression that he hasn't tried to get her back. He comes across as a man who tried but has given up and tried to convince himself that she is better off without him, but his smile at the end suggests that he still wants her back.
  14. The when is obvious. Off-screen between the last time we see them and when they meet up with FitzSimmons. It takes some very light explaining. Maybe Mace has already been replaced. The fake Daisy meets up with Mack and Coulson as they carry fake Mace. Aida and the fake Mack/Coulson step in and it's a very believable five-on-two, androids-vs-humans showdown that ends quickly. Daisy is injured from the knife to the shoulder. Even with powers, it's not hard to believe she could be overcome, being outnumbered and not expecting an attack to come from her friends.
  15. May was married to Andrew, so she was unavailable when they first met. Then Bahrain happened, and even after her marriage failed, she was still emotionally unavailable for any sort of serious relationship. (Her thing with Ward was the sort of messed up stuff that she was capable of.) Lash is dead, but she's in a better mental state now and Phil has also recovered from the trauma of dying, so recently has arguably been the first time that both of them are free and in relatively healthy place where a romantic relationship is something that they could consider beyond their clear emotional connection.
  16. You're not supposed to learn anything from it, you're supposed to fear having to watch an even worse video for a longer period of time if you repeat your behavior. I think this show will reach its potential when they can pull off killing a background character and having the reaction around the office be zany rather than maudlin, stuff that would be wildly inappropriate in response to a real-life death but would make for great comedy.
  17. If your goal is to keep a secret, it's best to be in the mindset of not giving away anything, even if it's safe to do so. It's like costumed heroes using real names with each other even when they think they are alone or the bad guys are knocked out. They shouldn't because you want secrecy to be a habit. Alex really shouldn't tell Maggie anything that she doesn't need to know because it's safer for everyone that way.
  18. This episode really drove home the idea that Mick is the straight-talking, not fancy, non-PC bad-ass that some people might view as the ideal American. I want to see a change to the timeline that shows us President Rory.
  19. It would be reasonable to think he was clinging to anger so he didn't have to immediately deal with the emotions that would be brought up thinking that his daughter may only have a few months to live. He kept things from Iris to protect her. Not telling him about this prevent him from trying to fulfill his role, his duty in life, as her protector.
  20. There's no way that Alex, who has been conditioned to keep Kara's secret all her life, would talk so freely about her sister, even to Maggie.
  21. That was a great joke because it's somewhat true (and I am someone who is anti-Trump and would encourage people to protest in favor of tacos). It's not the duty of the comedy world to be cheerleaders for the left. Che sometimes points out that liberals can be superficial and not as smart as they think they are. It's the reason why I thought that election night party skit when Dave Chappelle hosted was awesome.
  22. So, the Spear of Destiny can be used to rewrite reality....like bringing a dead character back to life?
  23. Is this the right place to ask if people are watching Roast Battle? It is very much in line with my sense of humor and the kind of jokes I sometimes tell in real life.
