I agree. Introducing him at her home, in a group setting and in controlled timing, is one thing. Vacation another. All ahe knew about Ed was from correspondence. I'd have been wary. Very true - although there was a camera crew along to make sure that Ed didn't strangle Rose to death and dump her body somewhere in the monkey forest. I think it was fine that Rose left her son with her sister, because it was crystal clear to everyone that Ed was really NOT interested in the baggage Rose was bringing to the relationship. (I.E. her young son.) If Ed is not interested in being a father in any way/shape/form because he had a daughter and raised her - why would anyone believe that he actually DOES want to raise Prince? You either DON'T want more kids or you do - but Prince IS another kid to raise. I actually wondered if Ed would have worked it out so that Prince stayed in Manila with the sister and only Rose went to the U.S. This also reinforces the belief of many here that Ed only wanted to be on TV and this was just a sex-cation for him. He knew without a doubt that he didn't want kids - but he wanted to take on the responsibility of raising a four year old little boy. Mkay..........

WE get it because we don't live this way. But if you had a millionaire staying in your home you might be a little bewildered if he was upset about things that are perfectly ordinary every day things in your life and you might smirk, too. I don't think ANY of us on this board would want to sleep there, but I would bet that 95% of us would be MUCH more gracious and considerate of our hosts feelings than he was. They can't help how they live. It is what they can afford.

Who knows. But polygamist families are varied just like monogamist ones. I doubt they even relate, unless they see someone they know. I am willing to bet it would make them very uncomfortable to watch the show, though. They worry about their image a lot and they probably worry that people would compare them to his group.

All of your reasons were valid, except I think I can understand why Erika would NOT be willing to move to the U.S. to be with Stephanie. She's exhausting. She reminds you that she is sick constantly. She is "uncomfortable" with EVERYTHING. It's a full time job just to keep her happy and have a relationship with her. After the first couple of times they were together in person, it was pretty clear to just about everyone that it wasn't going to work with these two.

Also, it's not just DAVID sending her money. She is probably stringing a LOT of guys on, and making a nice amount of income. She said she likes "nice and expensive things". The fact that David thinks she's poor and shy is so laughable.

There is a guy on FB who started his own group called "Catfishing the Catfisher". He writes to this site and 12 out of 13 of the girls he has talked to so far have DEMANDED (barely asked nicely) for him to send them money - so that they can buy a phone (most of them apparently don't have one -:::eye roll:::) or else in one case buy a passport for $2200. He has been stringing them along and they get meaner and nastier in their comments each day he doesn't send them money. Almost all of them asked for $150 to start, in-between saying how much they love him and want to get married. Sheesh. I will say though, it's been an interesting read.

I totally hear you - but - was he really acknowledging he was a bad guy or was he trying to get Rose to pity him? I say neither. I think Ed TOTALLY thinks HE is the "good guy" and Rose is at fault for having bad breath/hairy legs/leaky roof/hot country/monkeys/ocean water with sand/she wants kids/wonky electricity/20 thread count bed sheets/a son/chickens in the kitchen/sister asking for money/sickly rats in the house/a father who is a cock block/same father who insists on "showering" with him/ - was there anything else he whined about, or does that about cover it? He doesn't for a MINUTE think he was the bad guy. He is just trying to make a point that he is understanding what Rose is saying to him - "****I***** am the bad guy? OK, I'm the bad guy". And then he stomps off in a huge huff (have you ever seen him move so fast????) because HE was the one who is constantly "wronged". In his mind he is most certainly NOT the bad guy in this picture.

That very well could be - but what difference would it make? That whole relationship with Erika and Stephanie is weird - at best. I think Erika might be bi-sexual, but Stephanie comes across as frigid with both males AND females - possibly due to her inability to deal with past disappointments in relationships like she said - or that might just be her personality. OR - this was just one big set-up for 15 minutes of fame, as they say. But if that was the goal, I think Stephanie came across in a much different light than she had envisioned. The majority of viewers dislike her.

Kind of like that person who came in and said something snarky about me - and when I ask for clarification, she just :::POOF::: disappears! I think it's just disgruntled people who are unhappy and want to make others miserable, too.

Very similar. But Stephanie was at the AirBNB, not on the side of some road in the dark. Stephanie is quite capable of calling for a taxi or a shuttle. I suppose Avery could have done the same, if she could have figured out who to call (find a number) and find cross streets to tell them where to pick her up. But it seems more dangerous at night in the dark on your own, than safely inside of wherever you are staying. Hopefully this was just drama for TV, because for both couples it was really rude and inconsiderate.
