  1. "I ain't no snitch."
  2. It goes both ways.. Like when Gus distracted Shawn with a Snickers on Ferry Tale to get him to go on the discoverers trip. And in Thrill Seekers and Hell Raisers when he distracted Shawn with petting bunnies to tell him about his secret girlfriend.
  3. I, too, want Taylor to become a mf'ing monster (again). Its the only hope for reinjecting some life into this circuitous, repetitive Axe v Chuck "fight." And what exactly is Sara's job now? What? Why would you possibly think that? Oh. Because this is what happens to Chuck every. fucking. time. 🙄 In my Billions dreams, there was once a scene where we saw why Wendy ever married Chuck. And that she used to love or respect - hell I'll even take like - him. And then the fight over her would actually have some tension or some stakes that anybody cared about.
  4. I think she got back with him because it's easy, he checks the boxes, and she doesn't like being single, especially the only single woman on a show about "housewives." So yes for storyline but also for real life. He is so shady and she is so petty. So a blessed union for sure.
  5. You're right @RealReality. I need to stop tripping and just add HBO to my Amazon Prime. I don't have a cable bill so I'm always reluctant to spend money on TV. But I love this show and I love this discussion even more. This ^. So much this. It's a classic story and timely for early 30s women still friends with their college crew. I thought the writers handled (are handling) it well and realistically with Kelli and Tiffany. Tiffany's slight with the baby shower was both based in her (not totally wrong) view of Kelli as a partier who would probably not be serious about an over the top baby shower and also in keeping with her self-focused desire to make everything look perfect. Kelli showed a pattern of disinterest in Tiffany's pregnancy but still assumed she would be the baby shower organizer as the BF. Their rift seemed organic and inevitable. And the fight happened when and where it felt natural: outside when Kelli left the baby shower hurt. But the Issa/Molly version feels too one-sided. Both Issa's and Molly's established views of one another as not-good-in-relationships and not-good-in-career are clear. But while Issa's motivations for how she has been treating Molly make sense in the context of the events of the show and fit her personality, Molly's do not. We are left to speculate why Molly is so dismissive and unsupportive - well until this episode when she basically called Issa a "user." Which when have we seen that besides with Daniel? And there is not a single thing in the show history to suggest that Molly would blow up Issa's first successful business foray with a huge public fight. Unless of course making Molly the bad guy is the goal.
  6. Amputated toe? Gangrene? BGL just gets more and more attractive by the day.
  7. Damnit Molly. You had to do that right then and there? You ruined the end of your best friend's event. It was even worse because you never actually told Issa how proud you clearly were of her earlier. Damnit Issa. Your text is broke now? Do what you gotta do to get your job done. But you could have at least texted your best friend with a heads up that Andrew was involved. Damnit Andrew. It really never occurred to you to mention that you made the artist connect for Issa? Y'all clearly had been talking about the event. Damnit Tiffany. You having an attachment disorder or just being self-centered? It's hard to tell with you. Damnit Condola. You that old with no compartmentalization skills? Business is business. And penis is plentiful. Damnit Kelly. You funny. You too Amahl. Damnit y'all. Now I'm going to have to get my own HBO just so I can keep up with the discussion? ETA: Damnit writers (yes you too Issa Rae). Y'all couldn't write a more balanced conflict that didn't make Molly a supervillain?
  8. Primetimer is the corporate reboot of a site called Television Without Pity. The aim was in the title and the tagline: "Spare the snark, spoil the network." No show was spared the snark, even shows we loved. Many of us followed when the site transitioned to PTV. And...we brought our snark with us. This^^^. I knew I was sucked into their relationship when I was worried about what would happen when Jen finally told Judy the truth about killing Steve. I mean I was legit scared they were going to break up. All emotional and whatnot. Yes. It was about the Chief. Though I think Perez(?) letting Jen go was more about her believing Jen was covering for Charlie or Judy AND not wanting to deprive another child of their mother. Especially for a flimsy case against a person with no evidence to back her confession.
  9. I'm always so late to this discussion because I don't have HBO and have to watch the show later on my brother's Xfinity stream (yep I'm trifling). I truly appreciate all the thoughtful breakdowns as I mull this Issa/Molly drama. Especially the retrospective by @DearEvette and Mr. Dear Evette. This hits so close to home because I have 30+ year friendships that have been through these kinds of growing pains. There is no one who can be as supportive but also as unwilling to see how you've changed as long term friends and family. I feel like we're seeing that on both sides of the Issa/Molly friendship. Both have built the friendship on a foundation of Issa being good at relationships and Molly being good at professional success. Neither really knows how to see and acknowledge that the other is changing in those dynamics. Those changes are making them at the least uncomfortable, at the most wary about the other's motivations, and overall concerned that maybe their friendship isn't built to last. Add to that the facts that they won't even talk about it and the microaggressions against one another and...well, this. I agree with whomever said this is well-written, true to life and fascinating. OAN I hate that Condola is now seemingly ghosting Issa when she needs her most. Apparently she is struggling with handling the reality of dating her new friend/business mentee's ex now that she is questioning whether he'd rather still be with Issa. I always hate that line of questioning because it is what it is. Issa did cheat and Lawrence did leave her. If Condola is worried about him wishing he could go back, she probably should have nipped things in the bud as soon as she found out who he was, how long he dated her new buddy and how recently they broke up.
  10. Except it actually wasn't all candy and roses when Tiffany went to SA. She just got pregnant and married Ronald anyway.
  11. I'll marry you Rose! (You like heterosexual American women right?)
  12. Yes Rose! RUN LIKE THE WIND!!!!
  13. If Rose really disappeared I am gonna be SO PROUD like my child just graduated
  14. Yeah Yolanda. The truth is in the middle. Of your bank account. 🙄
  15. Either I've had too many of these hurricanes or this Avery/Ash argument was in a language I don't speak. Cuz that shit? Made NO sense.
  16. And Weeyums is from Nigeria.
  17. As much as I believe this is all a scam by Yolanda, I equally believe this willful ignorance is her natural personality. After all she was married to and had 6 kids with a career criminal who died in jail.
  18. Ed's nice-ty comments about everything Rose is, has and does piss me off as much as BGL calling Usman's mother "Mommy" does you.
