  1. Hey.... was any Duggar offspring expecting at the wedding ? Surely we can't have a lull in births...
  2. I liked how Amber and Trent took the time to make (and keep) a friend from Emma's heritage and how they celebrated her 13th birthday. I thought it was nice, kinda personal, made her feel special and age appropriate. Yes, monies were spent, but they didn't go overboard. It is true what the episode illustrated about Buford Hwy in ATL. I missed the home dinner with the products they brought from the grocery store. Even if the home-dinner came out awful, the personal thought and time was very sweet. I say that to add b/c there is another show (also on TLC) who has a different approach to teaching/reminding/showing a child's heritage. I just perfer last night's episode.
  3. Abbie mentioned she is child #4 out of 7? I wonder how many her siblings are married. IE maybe Pa Burnett has a "rule" about waiting until they are a little older and have established themselves as doing "something" . Pa and Ma Burnett didn't exactly look like children themselves - like Kendra's parents..
  4. Well.. could be less than hr...wasn't it rumored Ben & jess sneaked off for a quickie? I actually liked this wedding for some reason- I guess it was b/c JD looked so happy and it was good to see him happy. And it didn't take them months into years to get to alter. Looks like JD kept his parents in check during the process.
  5. I just saw it on tv. for the 1st time after a HEAVY tv weekend. maybe it rolled out regionally or on certain channels first. Now the commercial about bringing 12 tacos in a box to the office party - I swear that was almost hourly...
  6. Just out of curiosity - has there been a former or present DCC that stayed single until age 30+ ? or never married ? Just seems like they get married kinda on the quick side...
  7. which one - the commercial where the guy is bringing 12 tacos in a box to a party?
  8. Isn't it healthy for a woman, esp close to period time (or post menopausal) , to have a little muffin top, or bulge somewhere ? It mean to be completely flat and tight from rib cage all the way down to pubic area, just seems like an impossible feat - every day of the month.
  9. is this a professional pix or from SM ?Some of their heads (or it is the hair) look big in proportion to their body..
  10. I didn't know Elvis had charitable ambitions... he's a little before my time... I guess Snoop did something , somewhere along the line.. So the criteria was who would the DCC pick to have dinner with that also had charitable ambitions ?
  11. Do they get to keep the outfits? I would prefer tennis shoes though.. the boots seem a little much ..
  12. I would have picked one (or several) of the chefs from Top Chef... they had a few that are "very good for the eyes"... :) {sATL is fanning herself...}
  13. This is was good reading.. I need to go and look at the others.. and Elvis and Snoop Dogg would in which category.. ROFL !
  14. yes - according to the website. there is a link to click on "black friday deals" :) https://www.envybymg.com/
  15. Jacob is getting married ??? Forgive for sounding old fashioned - but what does he do for a living, again ? Last I heard he was try to find "himself" and didn't want to be on the show - ie no TLC income ? Matt and Amy are 4 for 4 in getting their kids married...and kinda soon/young.
  16. Tre lost me on that outburst. First she is mad at Joey for not spending time with the living (Nonno) and now she is mad at him for not spending time with the departed (Nonna). Last week there was a comment about Nonno might need to see a grief counselor. Now, I think Tre needs to see one. First -Tre wanted to have a gathering, or if one was mandated (requested) by their customs, church, or officiant, she should have said something long before the actual date. If it was for the latter reason, Joey would have known b/c "he was taught " on what is expected for the deceased. Second - putting the late Nonna aside - I wonder if Tre could be a little jealous, as a member of the lonely hearts (and horny) club, that Joey and Melissa can just jet set off to the Bahamas on a romantic weekend. Third - Tre needs to logically understand not everyone grieves or internally processes a death the same way. Maybes it is Joey's (and Melissa) way to deal - get out of NJ. One concern is Tre how many death anniversaries, does she want to keep going ? All of this death remembrance/celebrations isn't good for the grandchildren either - find a happier, and age appropriate way to let the grands know about Nonna. Many holidays are dated close to the birth-date, not the death-date - with I guess Easter being the exception.
  17. Just exactly "who" , and when, taught Joey that a woman only choices are to stay home and be a housewife or get "job" ? It was a condescending ass-move to say "sit in a boutique all day" to Antonia - an impressionable 13 year old. He is talking about the girls momma. In all of the "hard work he does all day" - he's never run into a woman working a career, who loves her husband and children ? I wish I could be a fly on the wall the day he runs into a woman, whose help/services he needs for his "business" - loan officer, lawyer, construction contractor, someone at the permit / license office, etc. {silently humming - "who runs the world, girls" }
  18. ok. Tre "brought" broccoli all the way from NJ to OK . m'kay. What prepared food service is she using , and probably getting compensated for it ?
  19. My comment was focused on the rushed experience back home than leaving out before the storm hit. Let the kids enjoy grandparents for a few more days. I'm sure Bill didn't enjoy the drive back that particular day, at that time. He looked worn out. I felt bad for him. Then after all of that, you find the entire county is without power and you had to go to a hotel, probably in the next county, - which I am surprised had an available room. But in all of that - once again, we have to hear about her work, as the priority. What could have been a little more joyful trip back home, turned into almost a nightmare. If Jen needed/wanted to get back, then why not fly back (airports are normally one of the first to get back on an operational schedule) and let the family come when the traffic southbound/eastbound died back out a little and after you accessed the what happened at home? She would have been home in a couple of hours all refreshed to go to work, and therefore she would have been happy. Two days wait could have been all that was needed for the car drive. News had been saying since the storm hit that gas and other supplies were low not to mention road arteries were blocked due to structural damage and fallen trees. I know it was probably no picnic for Bill to stay at the in-laws a couple more days, but to put the entire family though that , just so she can work, seemed a little unfair. I wouldn't have wanted to put my family on a 17 hr car journey that just so I can get to work. Safety of family first. job second.
  20. hmmm, I guess the 60s was the turning point... LOL ! - I just came across this little tidbit ( link ) - "Victoria's Secret was founded by Roy Raymond, and his wife Gaye Raymond in San Francisco, California, on June 12, 1977. Eight years prior to founding Victoria's Secret, in the late 1960s, Raymond was embarrassed when purchasing lingerie for his wife at a department store. Newsweek reported him looking back on the incident from the vantage of 1981: "When I tried to buy lingerie for my wife," he recalls, "I was faced with racks of terry-cloth robes and ugly floral-print nylon nightgowns, and I always had the feeling the department store saleswomen thought I was an unwelcome intruder."Raymond spent the next eight years studying the lingerie market"
  21. for some reason, I liked this episode. I think it was because there were more segments/stories about outside events impacted them as opposed to staged outings going over here, going over there. And the kids were better behaved. I'm glad both kiddies said no to the after-school activities that were mentioned - less foolishness for us to see. I actually enjoyed hearing about hurricane Irma from their prospective. 17/18 hr drive back when you don't know what your going to find at home , little gas, little water, 2 kids and 2 dogs ... that was good tv there... I didn't care for that they kept saying they need to get back ASAP b/c Jen needed to get back to work... Really ? Cat 5 storm, death and destruction everywhere, the majority of entire state of FL is in disarray, and that is her main concern - clocking in at the job. Put her on a flight from Pensacola then. She really knows how to be a killjoy sometimes.. I am proud of Will for not acting up as he normally does doing the CPAP event. And I didn't know that sleep apnea causes high blood pressure. Prayers to those families of the 134 lives lost (including 3 in GA) from the storm.
  22. speaking of which - what is the latest on Lisa Nicole & Darren ?
  23. don't you need a medical diagnosis/ prognosis to go into an assisted living ? I too suspect Nonno has something wrong with him medically, but I hadn't heard what exactly. I do agree that maybe being around other seniors who may have lost a spouse may be helpful. And actually the same is good for Tre' - surely she has friends who now have one surviving parent. Actually I thought Melissa lost her father years ago. Yes each person grieves differently but its been a year and talking/listing to Nonno one would think the passing was last week.
  24. I had the same thought when they had that promotion party for Dr. E. I would think when he's attending hospital business function, Toya might stick out a little. Nothing wrong with being a SAHM but I think in a doctors business/professional circle the wives would have either (1) had a resume of what they did before becoming a SAHM including educational/professional accomplishments, or (2) while being a SAHM , they are building a resume of volunteer credentials - like raising $$$ for the PTA. BTW - Toya does have two degrees .. oddly enough.. ( link ). Maybe she is a different Toya at Dr. E's work functions.
