  1. they make tampons so small now-a-days (according to the pix on the box), being a virgin, and thus not having proof to show on wedding night, shouldn't stop the D. girls from using them. Speaking of wedding night - no one said anything about the recent engagement announcement ? Yes, I knew it was coming - just didn't think it would be this soon. JB ckhg/saving acct must be getting low.
  2. Stop the presses ! If PEOPLE & Yahoo are reliable sources - Joy and Austin are engaged ! (link)
  3. Or making sure Jing is "joyfully available" for Jer. (link - 6th paragraph). ☺
  4. now that we have a newly crowed top-chef-all-star (a returning chef who didn't win their season), can we say good-bye now to Mr. Know-it-All Richard Blais ?
  5. Agree. The thought of them taking a lighter, running up to the laundry room and start trouble. that is beyond scary. Still wonder who was the oldest & awake person at home at the time. Not really blaming anyone, but does sound like a gap in the family security plan as to who is in charge when. Sounded like Gil took every available boy and I need to re-watch to see which girl went with Kelly. could be. I have a lighter , that I use for the outdoor grill, that is from one of the camping companies. It takes me a couple of tries to get it to light as you have your use your thumb to push a button forward and your index finger to pull the trigger. I guess a 4-6 yr old could work that.
  6. sorry to play Monday morning quarterback. (1) why was a lighter left low enough for the little boys to get ? It's not like there are smokers in the house (2) who was supposed to be watching the boys ? I do think the presence of the cameras hindered the boys explanation. They are used to being "cute& cuddly & playful", but unfortunately this wasn't the time. I think the camera crew should have excused themselves, and let Gil /Kelly do a TH, about what they discussed with the boys. Lawson had a gig where he arrived home at 5 am ? Doesn't sound like a church. hmmm.
  7. Sorry for the delay.back online.. storm passed though area and I lost power for a 10 min. just now getting back, as I don't like to use laptops during storms. I will scroll through episode again to find the "girl talk" part, later. Gotta catch up on another show that is on now. If someone else still has the episode, please let us know.
  8. which girl time - on Monday's episode ? I'm scrolling though. I deleted the wedding eposide
  9. correct. I still have it on dvr. 3 min into the eposide
  10. I thought it was because she is wearing clothes that fit. And newer styled clothes, that are cut/made better.
  11. and speaking nasty bathrooms - this goes back to my earlier point about the duggars being house guests. Yes, I understand the bathroom Ben was shown to clean was in a work area and ones hands/feet are dirty with stuff like motor oil and yard clippings. But I'm just wondering how much does each child clean-up behind themselves ? If you make a mess in the toilet, get the brush and the cleaner and scrub it up. And if you see a mess, clean it up - don't let messes linger. tell J&M (which might be a waste of time) and don't wait until "so-so" turn to clean up.
  12. I thought the shed had a bathroom ? that nasty hole that JB showed him that he had to clean. Which Ben did. spotless. I found the quote from a TH of JB: "If you want to marry a Duggar girl, you can't be afraid to get your hands dirty," says Jim Bob" (link) One day Ben is going to run into his old buddies from high school, the windsheild job, and/or his 1st community college. Let's, just hope he doesn't get an "itch".
  13. Or shredded. The kind that comes in a bag that is sometimes 2/$5
  14. ok. thanks for the update. I just figured Tim didn't past the Duggar "test" - which we know now is at least document that Ben/Derrick/Jeremy had to complete.
  15. I haven't seen the episode yet.. so the dance battle is Whit w/ her on-call casting club vs. Jiya w/ her OLG ? I guess I was hoping for a "Whit vs. Jiya" only bout. "Ali (God rest his soul) vs. Foreman" - Rumble in the Jungle, or in this case Greensboro , NC. Two people who can't stop running their mouth. Let Whit & Jiya dance it out on the floor. Jiya might be a little harsh and abrupt, but is she any different than other competitive coaches - eps. those on reality shows?
  16. not yet, according to the following websites : (link1) & (link2 - 50 state map) But Whit should. she's on the phone carrying deep conversations too much. the least she could do upgrade her car so she could blue tooth in.
  17. I wonder if Jana doesn't want to be a wife and/or mother or she's overly picky - looking for man that meets her "dreams and prayers", as opposed to meeting a man and seeing him for what he is. I liked the rumor of Tim Tebow showing interest, but the man works on Sundays and travels. That is a no-no in their spouses. So, she probably gave him the axe for that simple reason. Since she was under J&M tutor for the longest, who knows her head was filled with during her late-teen/formative years. I say the same for her twin - JohnDavid. Yes the man is a bit of a dullard, but I do think he will bring that check home every week and be home every night. Being the oldest girl, I wonder if she tired of the "motherly duties" - taking care of babies. She might feel like an empty nester now that Josie is getting older and appears healthy. OR - just to keep us viewers interested and the TLC $$ rolling in, she & JB is keeping her love life a secret . when JB feels the $$ is going to stop - he will make TLC keep the cameras rolling and play "his highest/best card". Look what happens when eligible long-time bachelors/bachelorettes choose someone - the press can't leave them alone until the wedding day.
  18. The Duggars have a "takeover" attitude. And they travel in mass. They are used to being the center of ones universe, so they would expect Jer-Jing full time and attention when they come. And probably would expect a full literary of events. Look how J&M questioned everything(and kinda crossed the line) we they came to visit during engagement. Let's face it. We all have family/friends that we had to explain some ground rules to when they visit. Some we need to repeat the rules BEFORE they visit. We're glad to see them, but also glad to see them go. too. Jer-Jing might need to tell them they can come in a limited quantity. I think that is what Alyssa Bates did - esp. around birth of baby #2. I don't think Jer would mind Ben an Jessa and their 2 little ones. Same for Jill/Derrick and there soon-to-be two little ones. But if Joy comes, with Austin, that is 3 individual grown people who need accommodations and attention. I'm just glad Jer&Jing discussed, even though they didn't probably agree, on visitors beforehand. Visitors don't mean harm(usually), but even the best houseguest (family or friend) can get in the way of what you need or want to do. Too bad Jinger not independent enough to get a $1 Megabus ticket and go back home every time she feels homesick.
  19. Forsyth family campground info. (link) At the family camp, founders Terry and Roxanne Forsyth have recreated an 1800s fort and old west town for an unforgettable vacation. In 1995, Terry made a life changing decision. God used this decision to place a burden on his heart for families. He realized that the American families of today were too busy and fragmented. Terry wanted to recreate an era where things were a little slower and families could spend time together. Thus a vision of an 1800’s style town began. After an out-of-state move, land acquisition in the Ozark’s of Northwest Arkansas, and several years of construction, Fort Rock Family Camp became a reality.
  20. TLC gave JB a little more air-time and a TH last night... I wonder if that is a trend. I had gotten used to him staying in the background and saying very, very little. I agree with an earlier post about how Austin described what he liked about Joy to JB. He was describing a hiring farm hand - "hard worker" , "diligent worker", "gets the younger ones working", "good delegator". What did he do - fill out an employee (or wife) evaluation form ? I would put my foot up a young man's behind if he said something like that about my girlie. And I could take his comments another way - like does he plan on NOT working, since you are watching a young lady's work habits ?
  21. If Jana has her "eye" on someone like Michaela Bates did and waiting for that person to get the nerve up to ask JB and finish what they are doing/studying , there is still a little hope. She is very close to Michaela's age and Michaela has only been married a little over a year. I wonder if JB knows/cares about the biological clock..Jana is getting a late start in pushing out a big number unless, she has a multiple-set birth(s) Michael "Michaela" Christian (Bates) Keilen - Birthday: January 23, 1990 Jana Duggar- Birthday Jan 12, 1990
  22. This crew believes courtship and engagement are two separate and distinct life events. Joy said that Austin stated he will not hold hands during courtship. So I suspect they will at engagement.
  23. The teacher-chef could see that Jeremy was getting "warmed up" and she knew they were newlyweds. Why did she (the chef) sit down and eat with them ? Let the two horny lovebirds go off in a corner, look into each other eyes, play footsie, and eat their aphrodisiacs in peace.
  24. To quote a urban phrase: Babe "put it on her" (link) . Jinger didn't look the same in the hotel room before they left for the airport. I wonder was she screaming/crying "Baaaaabbbbeee".. why did they get a room with two double beds, as opposed to one king size ?
