Having our feelings belittled, and accusations thrown around about the people a lot of us supported, and that we know aren't true, do nothing to help with healing. Dealing with what Trump and Musk are doing to our country - they ARE destroying it, and our relationships with countries and their citizens, all over the world - are also doing nothing to heal our grief. It's something we cannot get past, because we are dealing with it every single day. I don't know what forum they were speaking of, but I've been on more than one in the past, and I agree with them. The only thing that's worse, is the supporters who know when the conspiracy theories aren't true, they know when they are lying about anything involving the Democrats, and they choose to not only "believe" it all, but spread it as gospel. All for political reasons. Nobody is missing out when avoiding involving themselves in constant disagreements. I used to believe that communication was key, if only we could find a way to find some common ground, and then get in some real conversations that went beyond the crazy. For the most part, that never happened, and it just became a really depressing bad habit, that made me feel crazy, and horrible about myself, when dealing with the constant digs, outright insults, and pile-ons.

Not only was lockdown NOT unwarranted, it wasn’t a full lockdown. My State did really well, until June 2020, when my governor caved to to the rabid MAGA crowd. He was getting death threats, and so was Amy Acton. I remember some cities having a really horrific time, and needing freezer trucks for extra storage space for bodies.

I was just thinking that. You hear the girls asking “what’s this?” So, they were recording everything. So, how far away from civilization are they? It looks like people were right about them killing the first person, or people, who come across them, too. That was one of my least favourite theories. After all that, someone hears them singing, and sees/smells the fire. Oh, did this guy have a cassette tape and player on him? He must have.

Same! I said it last night, on twitter, when I saw someone stating that all Democrats should condemn this. NO. MAGA wants the world to burn, and for the rest of us to keep nodding and smiling. My sister married a Canadian, and she used to go back-and-forth a lot. She started going up there for months, in 2001. 9/11 happened when she was up there, so mum was torn about going to get her, or leaving her up there. Immigration at the border (in Buffalo), mostly left her alone, until 2010, when they pulled her and my dad over, told her she could only be there for a month, and that she would need to get travel insurance for that month, as well as a bus ticket or something, showing that she had proof that she was coming back here. They got married in 2012, and she moved in 2014, when she was told that she couldn’t come back here for a while, when she was seeking permanent residency.
