  1. I think the (too long) closing monologue by Snow is actually not disconnected from the montage over which it was shown, but I put that in the speculation thread. The stupidity of Chekhov's Doughnut, just so Regina would have an excuse to touch the pages about Pinocchio--- so stupid. Really writers, show some effort.
  2. Posting to the speculation thread. Just watched the episode with Maleficent having lost a child due to some EF action of the Charmings, and on the episode thread people are wondering what the Charmings could have done to kill her child. It seems to me that Mal's baby might not be dead, but just lost to her. Then they focused so much on Hook walking merrily with Emma while Snow was monologuing about how they caused Maleficent to lose her child that I think her "baby" is Hook. Anyone else? Particularly since the conversation was about protecting Emma from finding out that the Charmings have lied to Emma, and that she has the capacity for evil. Plus that Maleficent, in a dream sequence, stole Snow's son from her arms. It just seems like Emma+Hook would be a good comeuppance for the Charmings if that's Maleficent's goal.
  3. I like all three kids and think their families are very loving and supportive, so I was very happy that these three made it to the finals, in any order. It's great that Graham and Yeji will get some scholarship money, too. I do not think Graham's mother was saying he is the best. I think, since he is not a study monster like the others, that she just feels that God has blessed her son with natural intelligence. I miss Binyamin and his dad!
  4. Agree with everyone who has said this in the other threads....Alon & Binyamin should be offered a show on Lifetime. There is a storyline already with their bond although they appear so different from each other, and I'd love to see more of them.
  5. What a sweetheart that Binyamin is, and I do wish he had won, but what he has is better than any contest prize. A father who supports and adores you is priceless; and unfortunately, too rare. Now I am rooting for Graham. He is sweet, humble and unspoiled. Then Yeji...she is adorable and down-to-earth.
  6. Katherine's parents issue with the judging was very different than what happened with Tanishq's mom. In Katherine's case, the judges really did not abide by their own rules for placement, and who knows if that will eventually matter? In Tanishq's case, he answered incorrectly and the mom wanted that set aside. I like the family, but this was just a "no." Okay, so Susan sounds like Sandra? They both begin with S.? He knew the answer but it was a slip of the tongue? As someone said above, that could be the case for any incorrect answer from any child. "I knew it was Galileo, but I slipped and said Copernicus! They were both astronomers, so you should count that as correct." and so on.
  7. I love Binyamin's dad! He has such a pure love for his son. Yes, Binyamin is small, but he does have genetic material to work with...between his dad's size and maybe some gym workouts, he might become a lot bigger and more muscular as he grows. Meanwhile, I like that Alon is in counter-terrorism, has a macho demeanor, but softens it with tenderness for his son.
  8. I'm enjoying this show much more than I had expected. I just love Graham and Binyamin because they don't brag, they aren't into the drama, and they appear sincerely happy when others do well. They also commiserate when the others have a poor round. Furthermore, their parents seem to truly love and appreciate their sons for who they are and not just as show ponies. Tanishq bugs me....or rather I should say he irritates me because of what his parents have instilled in him. I don't want to blame him, since he is just a child. However, I cannot listen one more time to him or his parents mention that he is in college. I did also flinch when he said he was doing "good."
  9. RBonnie, ITA. I love Previously TV because they have separate episode threads and I also wish people would confine their remarks to this episode only, or at least use spoiler tags. The commenter did spoil the next episode by alluding to how long someone "lasted."
  10. A lot has occurred since this season was filmed. Not only is Bill Cosby in trouble, but the Cake Boss was arrested for DWI. I wish they could have edited out half of tonight's show. And of course Joan Rivers died, but I am glad they will show the two episodes she is in. I don't watch the Real Housewives but I already can't stand either of those women.
  11. I thought for sure they would sing a duet at the wedding
  12. Whether or not the ignorant Nigerians plot was meant to be racist or just xenophobic, I certainly felt that Jay's comment during the football game was 100% racist....when Cam's team was winning, Jay said " they play like they are from a much poorer neighborhood." At the very least, if not racist it was classist, and I thought it was offensive. There is nothing funny or original or even " modern" anymore with this show. I'm sure we all thought that the Dunphys could have stayed with family members, but no, they have to be crowded together so that they are on each other's nerves, and "hilarity" will ensue. Then Mitchell will be non-supportive, then supportive, but it won't work out as planned. Overweight, peculiar Manny will think the hot girl truly likes him, but PLOT TWIST, she actually doesn't! And it really feels that Mitchell tried to climb a fence just because the writers thought that making a figurative remark which turned out to be literal would be amusing. This show...so dumb now.
  13. The opening was interesting in a Breaking Bad kind of way, but of course the plot and acting were the usual subpar level. I mainly watch this show because I love Hawaii so much, even though I haven't been there for 30 years. Some of this crew can act, but Grace Park is the worst. She always sounds like she is reading monotonously from the script. Still, this show isn't meant to be anything more than eye candy and absurdity, and it does the job.
  14. I am constantly amazed at the way some of these people speak. Did Zack say "romantical," or did I make that up in my head? I definitely heard AshLee say "ungratitude," to go along with her previous use of "conversate." Also, while I understand not everyone will always be able to distinguish between stalagmites and stalactites, I would assume an adult would have some prior knowledge that these formations exist, instead of being all befuddled as was Lacy. When I was a kid we learned that stalagmites have a "g" for ground and stalactites have a "c" for ceiling. This issue makes me like Brooks and Tasos more, because they are articulate.
  15. The premise is interesting. I just hope it's not all fake like Breaking Amish was. I was wondering why, if it is winter, that it isn't dark all day, at least as far north as Barrow. When the families said it would be difficult for them if the kids left, did they say it was winter then, or just that winter was coming?
  16. hell no to Kris and the rest on this whole fake "panicked" expedition, searching for two spoiled brats who jerked everyone around. First of all, Kendall is over 18 so she is legally allowed to go wherever she wants. The police won't look for her unless foul play is suspected. Kylie is still a minor but it was obviously 1) hype 2) Kendall and Kylie are horrid and 3)...Kris...I just can't....all this pretend desperation that something horrible might have happened, while the girls are sending pictures that they are out having fun. But your child who IS in trouble, Rob...oh no Kris, for that you can't ruin your vacation. At least Brody didn't jump at the bait. He knew his sisters were pissy brats and good for him for not falling for it.
  17. When Andi is with Nick, she is all rapid-fire interrogator....no matter how she claims they have "a connection, " she strikes me as business-like. When Andi is with Josh, she comes undone. I personally feel skittish about Nick and I have some qualms about Josh, as well, but Josh and Andi are clearly light-years beyond anyone else in terms of winding up together, at least for awhile.
