I cannot freaking wait!!!!!! Looks like the original cast will just hang around long enough to usher in a new group of girls? I hope not, but I'll obviously watch either way. Best TV news in a LONG time!!

That might have been my favorite exit interview of all time. I'm so tired of the usual "Oh, I wouldn't change a thing! No regrets! Love everyone in the house, it's such an amazing experience!" Jillian was like..."I'm completely shocked. I had no idea it was coming. I'm not happy about it. I'm pissed. I was blindsided. Any final thoughts? No. I'm unable to form coherent thoughts because I am shocked. Shocked!" Probably the most honest interview ever!

I couldn't agree more. It all feels very caveman-y. I loved Alex's quip about the showmances going on the Bachelor while she's there to play the game. It seems like the house-guests feel like they immediately need to couple off and straddle each other while having conversations. It's not organic at all anymore and it wasn't like that in earlier seasons. Paul is annoying and really shouldn't have been invited back the season after his own. But if he can help break up the 'cool kids' alliance and get some of them out, then I can deal with YourBoy for a few more weeks.

PLEASE LET IT HAPPEN!! New interview out with the cast talking about rebooting the series. (But where is TINA?) http://ew.com/tv/2017/06/15/l-word-reunion-reboot/

Not a whole lot of laughs in this one for me. I thought the last few were really good, so this episode was a bit of a letdown. I agree with @LADreamr - as much as Selina's misfortunes are amusing, I want her to succeed sometimes. I enjoy the show much more when it's a combination of outcomes, not just Selina sucking at everything in life.

Kevin Keller: Always First in Line for Kool-Aid
asabovesobelow replied to madhacker's topic in Riverdale
I want to like Kevin so much! But so far, he has been completely reduced to a gay BFF stereotype and I find him more annoying than cute. Hopefully they can flesh out his relationship with Joaquin a little and give Kevin a storyline other than 'best gay'. -
A Thread for All Seasons: OUaT Across All Realms

I really wish they hadn't added all of these Saviors. Emma should have been 'the one'. The idea of her being fated to rescuing these people from a curse was exciting and I liked the mystery shrouding that. Later saying there are Saviors all over the place cheapened Emma's role. And then saying they were all destined to die horrible deaths added the final straw of stupidity to something that was actually pretty cool. -
Is that what it is? I've noticed something off about his voice, thought it was the way he pronounced his S's or maybe he had a non-American accent that bled through every once in a while.

That's an interesting point. I find Lana Parilla extremely attractive (because I'm attracted to women) and Colin O'Donoghue attractive in a more subjective way. Does it color my view of Regina? Probably. I can admit that she has done many atrocious things in her lifetime, but maybe I'm just a littttttle bit skewed because I find her really, really, really attractive. So I love the character and I will always find where she has atoned, done the right thing, been victimized, etc. more than someone else might. But sadly, I agree with the first part of your post, asking what the solution would be. I don't think there is one. Viewers who don't like Hook and/or CS aren't going to find any warmth here. It is what it is.

That may have been my favorite part of the episode. Gary's blinding jealousy of anyone getting close to Selina will never not be funny.

Ratings and Scheduling: Who's the fairest of them all?
asabovesobelow replied to Serena's topic in Once Upon A Time
I sincerely hope the other guys here who said it's just 'media wording' are right. I cannot even imagine how horrific the series would become if they focus on alternate versions of characters that we've gotten to know for six seasons. It's indulgent and lazy. -
Ratings and Scheduling: Who's the fairest of them all?

From the article SiobhanJW posted above: “After six seasons, the residents of the enchanted forest face their greatest challenge yet as The Evil Queen, Captain Hook and Rumplestiltskin join forces with a grown up Henry Mills and his daughter Lucy on an epic quest to once again bring hope to their world and ours..." Wait, wait, WAIT. Does that mean it's the Evil Queen in Season 7? Like, Regina's...elsewhere, I guess...and the focus will be on the EQ? -
I think this renewal excites me the most out of any other show this year! Because I was sure - sure - it was going to be cancelled. I'm so happy that the network chose quality over ratings in this case.

I actually feel the opposite of this - Regina's relationship with Henry always meant more to me. She was his (only) mother for ten years, and I appreciate that they have shown the bond between adoptive mothers/children is just as strong as biological. I like that the show got back to that after downplaying it as Emma being Henry's 'real mom' in Season 1. (Which could certainly be due to the retcon of Regina not loving him, then in the next episode that was totally washed away. That's one storyline I'm glad they did away with.)
-
They threw SQ a few bones, so that was nice. But I don't get it. How did Gideon do the right thing by stabbing Emma with his sword? Maybe I zoned out or something, but the final battle had no rhyme or reason. It was so anticlimactic. And yeah, parallels are great, but the set up for season 7 is literally the exact same thing as the pilot, just reversed sexes. That's just...redundant and kinda boring. Like others have said, HOW are they going to bring those three characters back without their significant others/families? There's no explanation that makes even a little bit of sense. It wasn't a bad finale, it was...fine. Definitely could have ended the series on that note. But I do look forward to seeing how these characters' stories can possibly play out in S7.

^^ True story. There has to be a better storyline out there than this half-assed wish realm. I was a little bit excited for a reboot, but now I'm all angsty about it again. Have Regina, Hook, and Rumple stuck in some kind of time warp so they can rejoin the real world (and adult Henry) without aging. Something. Anything.
-
I'd much prefer a time jump to the wish realm. Regina killed the freaking Charmings and Henry is out for her (EQ) blood. And I sure as hell don't want a season of Outlaw Queen. I'd rather watch a Merida/Jasmine adventure than that chemistry-less relationship. They need to start fresh, really. Maybe they have an amazing storyline plotted out, something that ties the three mains in a smart and interesting way, but fool me once and all.

The Writers of OUAT: Because, Um, Magic, That's Why
asabovesobelow replied to Souris's topic in Once Upon A Time
I don't think we can necessarily say that Regina's heavier presence is the reason for the ratings decline and/or Jen's departure. I love Lana/Regina/EQ, but I thought the entire storyline of this season sucked. I also blame A&E - this season is a plethora of fails. I did say earlier that I would still be in for a Season 7 at this point, but I have to amend that. If it takes place in the wish-realm, I am so far the fuck out I'll be selling walking sticks in Agrabah. -
Once again, Gary CAN'T SAY NO!! I loved his face while he was eating the rotten chicken sandwich cut up into some spaghetti. In her own insane, narcissistic way, Selina was actually being really sweet by making him dinner. And he would never want to make her feel bad.

Spoiler Discussion: The apple was poisoned?!

I just saw that too, WOW. That blows all the theories about who has signed on for next season out of the water. I'm really surprised she posted that so soon.
