It’s funny that in the beginning of episode 1 I thought that the area Xavier lives in looked like a Disnified version of the US, like Main Street USA or the Golden Oak community just outside the gates of Disney. Turns out I’m not that far off!

The difference being that the men don’t end up dead from their bad choices. I really like Houlihan, I hope she cracks the case and then she and the Garveys work together. Blanaid however will need an absolute shitload of therapy

Does anyone listen to the recaps (now that Know It All’s is at least a day later? If Shannon doesn’t get her microphone fixed how the hell are we supposed to understand what she’s saying? Australian accent, talking at warp speed and the bad sound make it unlistenable.

That was a really fun episode. If Andy wins this, he won it here, and deserves it. I’d rather Rachel win though. Teeny was my favorite player until this episode. She really does get way too emotional and isn’t a very good strategic player at all

So gross how Ian is kissing Eva, ew ew ew ew!! He is so shady. And poor Blanaid.
-
Does this mean that Ian inherits JPs parents house? Could Grace have been taken in by him? He seems decent enough esp w Blanaid but the way he acted wasn’t ok. Blanaid should have been able to call him, it was cruel that she didn’t know where he was.

So there are 2 dragons skulking around? One in the Vale and then Seasmoke near Dragonstone? So we are assuming Rhaena will ride Vale dragon and Corlys’s dark haired bastard son riding Saesmoke?

Can someone explain this to me because I’m unclear…when Blackthorne went to the brothel, did he actually pillow with Kiku or did Kiku allow him and Mariko to get it on? Or did he not pillow with anyone? Also, the actor who plays Toranaga is really owning this show. He’s fantastic.

We are two episodes in and enjoying it. Tobias Menzies is good in everything, and he’s holding this together. I like that Mrs Keckley was given more than passing notice and I got to tell dh about her while we watched. Seeing Matt Walsh as an evil doctor is an adjustment…I’m used to him as the goof on Veep! The weakest part for me is the portrayal of Lincoln…not sure there’s anything anyone can do about the fact that we now think of Lincoln as Daniel Day Lewis and anyone else just looks someone pretending to be Daniel Day Lewis, rather than Lincoln. In any event, I’m learning a lot here that I never knew and it’s very entertaining, except that it’s hard to tell all these white guys apart.

Danni and Ed are both going to die in the next episode aren’t they? Danni was talking way too much about getting back to earth soon and the new Grandbaby. Ed can die in a fireball, that’s what he wants. But don’t take Danni down with you!

Hé showed Svetlana that his hand shakes and that that is why he grows the weed.

So Bertha sold Gladys to the Duke to win. George will have something to say I’m sure, especially w Billy Carlton being someone Gladys likes, and he likes her a lot, and he’s appropriate in every other way ….just not a Duke larry you handsome and smart young man. Marian, Marty him ASAP. Mrs Fish, please sit next to me and let’s discuss the divorces
-
Did you notice that she had a black velvet ribbon around her waist and down the side of her dress? I believe that was what was designating mourning. Young unmarried women didn’t wear the full black. I’m surprised Larry didn’t make note of it.

Agreed. I’m wondering if this is all just leading to Oscar losing money in railroad stocks as the bubble bursts, it’s basically what ended the Gilded Age on a larger scale. No scam necessary.

Just saw this last night. If they want to lecture us that we’re all bigoted, how do they address the fact that nobody had any issue with Rocks coming out storyline? THAT is a contemporary issue that families like Charlottes are dealing w all the time. They did a decent job with that one. Che, however….no.
