Can someone explain this to me because I’m unclear…when Blackthorne went to the brothel, did he actually pillow with Kiku or did Kiku allow him and Mariko to get it on? Or did he not pillow with anyone? Also, the actor who plays Toranaga is really owning this show. He’s fantastic.

We are two episodes in and enjoying it. Tobias Menzies is good in everything, and he’s holding this together. I like that Mrs Keckley was given more than passing notice and I got to tell dh about her while we watched. Seeing Matt Walsh as an evil doctor is an adjustment…I’m used to him as the goof on Veep! The weakest part for me is the portrayal of Lincoln…not sure there’s anything anyone can do about the fact that we now think of Lincoln as Daniel Day Lewis and anyone else just looks someone pretending to be Daniel Day Lewis, rather than Lincoln. In any event, I’m learning a lot here that I never knew and it’s very entertaining, except that it’s hard to tell all these white guys apart.

Danni and Ed are both going to die in the next episode aren’t they? Danni was talking way too much about getting back to earth soon and the new Grandbaby. Ed can die in a fireball, that’s what he wants. But don’t take Danni down with you!

I saw the original recipe SATC when it aired but that was a long time ago and I didnt catch every episode (or see any of the movies). Miranda used to be a serious lawyer who watched Frontline in her spare time. Now she just waits around for Che? At least she has the red hair back. And how did Sara Ramirez go from being the best character on Greys to the worst character on AJLT? I like Seema and I’m glad she’s on the show, I like LTW and their whole family but they and Nya especially seem like they are brought in from different shows.

So on Dday this year i convinced my 13 daughter who was learning about WWII in class to watch w me. Tonight we got to “Why we Fight” and it was so important for her to see that. She had learned about the Holocaust but seeing it from the point of view of the soldiers who could not comprehend what they were seeing I thinI was helpful to her. I just love this series, it’s such an important piece of artistic work.

Agreed! Also, Tom was the last one to see her father and he was so gentle with her as Logan died. He was loyal to Logan; more so than her brothers, and I think that made a difference. Her brothers have screwed her over repeatedly. Tom only did so when he sided with Logan and when he took this job, neither of which she would really fault him for. That was Colin, Logan’s bodyguard and sadly his best friend

It’s more likely Caroline raised him…she was married to Logan long enough to have 4 kids with him, so Connor was likely 12 or so at minimum when Caroline and Logan broke up. Seems like Marcia came along later, after kids were mostly grown

Even if it’s one day per episode, something does not align. It’s established that Connors wedding is a Friday, and the night before a general election has to be a Monday, but this timeline gets me to Tuesday Ep 3 Connor s wedding : Connors wedding was a Friday, Logan was declared dead after markets closed. Ep 4 Honeymoon state: Saturday was wake. Presumably Marcia has use of a private Jet, so she can fly on a moments notice, she’s only 6-8 hours away, flies overnight Friday into Saturday , has staff order food, has her staff make calls etc, while she flies. Ep 5 Sunday Kill List..fly out to Norway and back in a day —which is hard to do but I guess W Time change it works in their favor? I guess In way back they go straight to LA? Still hard to make this work Ep 6 Monday Living + Product Launch IEp 7 Tailgate Party so this has to be a Tuesday but it can’t be
