  1. RE: the Neon Theme party (which I agree was tacky)...I assume the producers encourage the charter guests to come up with outrageous theme parties, dinner menus, special activities and shore excursions, etc. to make more interesting TV. I think it would get boring to watch 8 or 10 charters with no theme nights or weird requests. It makes sense to me that that's something the producers help them come up with. It also ridiculous that they spent all that time getting into a narrow slip just to load up the guests and leave again...that was purely for the TV drama. I assume in a non-televised scenario they would simply have used the tender to transfer the guests to the yacht!
  2. Regarding filming locales and where all these people live, Jessica was shown running in Silver Spring, Maryland -- right over the DC line. She went past a bus station on 16th St and East-West Hwy. I used to live in the same area and recognized it. I wonder if she lives in one of those apartment complexes right by the Silver Spring metro?
  3. I do agree that Capt. Lee waited too long to get a doctor. However, I think there might have been some confusion over the kind of injury that Brian had. No one saw what happened (I mean, except the camera crew) and perhaps Ashton and Lee assumed it was a physical problem, like had had twisted or sprained it? It wasn't until it started getting hot and red that anyone seemed super concerned. Maybe they were just thinking a couple days rest and it would start healing. (Or I could just be giving them too much credit.) Was it Below Deck or Below Deck: Med where there were some questionable charter guests in the past -- maybe a couple trying to proposition one of the stews? I didn't think the Chief Stew handled it well, but I felt like Kate did a little better this time around. That may have been Hannah though.
  4. My favorite K&J moment was when they called Taylor into the office and it turned into a conversation about what she had had to eat that day and Taylor said something like, "M&Ms and Cheetos." After she left, Kelli and Judy admitted they were jealous and were laughing about how M&Ms and Cheetos DID sound good!
  5. I agree with the poster who said that Chef Kevin just seems to be in a huge rush all the time. Like, take a breath, dude. Breakfast was supposed to be at 10:30. I can see putting out pastries and fruit first, so that guests who were up early could have those with coffee, tea, mimosas, etc. But then he was firing bacon and sausage and bitching that the table wasn't set. I didn't see any guests demanding a full-on breakfast yet. You're causing the problem!
  6. Amy (Kelley's sister) was a returning stew from S2 to S3. She and Kate didn't get along well in S2 and then managed to repair the relationship in S3.
  7. I assumed that PJ was sort of "stalking" Jon's family and trying to infiltrate his circle -- maybe not in a harmful way, but I think he assumes Jon is his father and he wants to learn more about him. I don't mind Katherine leaving to go to her mother's house but I DID mind her actually leaving Theo HOME ALONE before Eddie got there. I don't know, wait till the next day? That struck me as weird and terrifying for a kid. What if Eddie got delayed or something?? I love Gary and Maggie and really, would just take a whole show about them and Rome and Gina and Delilah and the kids and the whole mystery could go away forever.
  8. I went on a whole rant about Great Gatsby-themed dinners / events last season (or maybe that was an ep of Below Deck Original Flavor) but it's stupid. Just call it a Roaring 20s or a Jazz Age party, dammit! Also, whoever said it looked like a Saints Mardi Gras party...it absolutely did and oh yeah, WHO DAT! I actually think Hannah would do okay with Capt. Lee because he's not as much of a micro-manager as Sandy. The guests haven't seemed to care at all about the tablescapes, only Sandy -- if it was Lee, he may not have even noticed unless it became a problem brought up by the guests!
  9. Here's my last comment on this stupid show...only Sean and Megan had a wedding that looked like the real deal. It was nice, although not necessarily a millionaire's wedding. But Rosie and Drew's wedding looked fake, and there was no way a woman like Gentille would have really intended to get married in a chapel! And no other couples came close to getting married.
  10. Avery's mother has for sure asked to see the manager a few times in her life. I got the sense that maybe Avery was from her mom's first marriage / relationship, her mother has remarried and the other kids are the product of that marriage. I wonder if she has a relationship with her Dad?
  11. Oooh, that's interesting, I didn't know that! I agree, bad move all around.
  12. They should have just always done first names, no last names with an initial if there were multiples. But the show started just before social media really took off, and I don't think TPTB ever anticipated how individually well-known the DCC would become.
  13. Yup, that's her. I just Googled and found her Instagram. She's the one who has a special needs daughter, Hattie, who has a chromosomal disorder. And she's expecting another little girl soon.
  14. She was Abby Camille, right? Those two or three seasons where they were using full first and middle names still kind of crack me up. It always sounded so awkward and it was a mix of first/last names from girls who had been around for awhile and first/middle names for TCCs and Rookies.
  15. There's a dating website called The League for rich and/or well-known or simply "high-quality" dating prospects. The way they describe it is, "The users that enjoy The League the most are typically extremely intelligent, hard-working, self-aware, and tend to go after what they want in life – and finding a partner is no exception." You have to apply and they review/research everyone before they approve new members. Anyway, my point being, I bet Drew could qualify for that site. But my guess is that he wants a younger women who is dependent on him for a partner, not a high-powered, ambitious woman who he can't control.
  16. It wasn't a couples trip or a group trip...it was a CAST trip. So yeah, it basically was the producers saying, "These people are coming." That's what kind of goes unspoken about Reagan and Jeff, if you break down the fourth wall. It's not just that they share the same group of friends...they're co-stars on a reality show. There's a clear way for them to not have to spend so much time together or have Jeff deal with Reagan and Reese anymore -- one of them leaves the show. If neither of them want to hop off the gravy train, sorry, you're "working" with your ex.
  17. I actually think the real issue -- and it's hard to tell a woman this to her face -- is that she had no sex appeal. She was pretty but she wasn't sexy or even sexy-cute.
  18. Kelli LOVES a tall girl with long dark hair and blue eyes -- TCC Meredith, Kelsey Lowrance, Natalie Woods. I'm sure there are others I'm missing. It's why she hung on to stiff robotic Ashley Paige from the KC Chiefs for far too long.
  19. My parents got married on Dec. 30. In Illinois. I think a winter wedding is great, but not an OUTDOOR winter wedding -- even in New Orleans! Even if it hadn't been cold (and NOLA is unpredictable with temps in the winter) there was a fairly good chance of rain. It doesn't look like the venue had an entire second space indoors for a ceremony, so they would have either had to do some serious rearranging to accommodate ceremony AND reception, or...let everyone sit outside in the cold.
  20. Did anyone else notice that Tamica wasn't wearing the same bridesmaid dress as everyone else? I guess maybe because she refused to commit one way or the other, they didn't order her the cream dress with the huge collar/shoulder piece and maybe Reagan just told her to wear whatever she had in cream? Or...conspiracy theory...she wasn't really IN the wedding? She was sitting behind the other bridesmaids next to Barry. The whole thing was just kind of weird.
  21. This show is so bad and fake and yet I haven't told my DVR to stop recording it. I think I find Rosie and Drew(?) the MOST annoying. She talks so strangely. Okay, also, Sean and Megan...she is already the mother to his CHILD. Even if they split now she could file for a healthy amount of child support and probably palimony. The horse has left the barn there, Dad, I'm not sure how much more good a prenup is going to do.
  22. Okay, but Tom looked different in the "Coming Up" clips we saw at the end versus his photos from when Darcy was talking about him, right? I'm not losing my mind? He seemed hotter/younger in those photos.
  23. She did put out a lovely charcuterie board before the Chicken Caesar Salad...but the meal still felt a little lacking. Remember when Matt on Below Deck kept doing Asian Chicken Salads? I agree her cakes and breakfasts look amazing (likely because her mom's a pastry chef and that's what she learned first) but Ben's meals seem more interesting for foodies.
  24. Last season I always got the sense that maybe Joao was attracted to Hannah and that was why he was such a jerk to her, because he she didn't reciprocate or he didn't know how to approach it or whatever. And then he just defaulted to flirting wtih Brooke and, uh, the other stew, until he settled on whomever was the most willing and eager. So it doesn't totally surprise me that maybe he's going to try and make his move this season, especially since he's trying to redeem himself AND they are peers on the hierarchy now.
  25. Yes, I meant one vegan, one gluten free, one dairy free, whatever. Multiple restrictions in the same group. But you're right, I forgot she was vegetarian/vegan.
