  1. I've always suspected they have avoided an LA season because they're worried they will be overrun with aspiring actors, singers and models looking for airtime.
  2. Yeah, all of that is HIGHLY sus. Can someone who is 25 years old really be a Vice Principal at a middle school? And if you were, would you go on a televised dating show??
  3. I actually kind of get where Amy is coming from, because I'm in a similar situation. I don't think she really thinks Johnny should get a vasectomy, but I think she's trying to make the point of that it's not just as easy as "Oh, you should go on birth control" for all women and it's also kind of unfair that all of the burden gets put on the woman, and if he's really THAT freaked out about an accidental pregnancy, there is a medical alternative for him as well. My guess is that he doesn't want to wear a condom and wants her to quickly take care of things -- he said that he thought ALL women were on birth control??!? Anyway, I think Amy is trying to make a point rather than seriously suggesting a vasectomy. I was SO CONFUSED by Brittany and Ken's breakup and feel like I need to go back and watch the scene because I missed something.
  4. I'm not a big fan of Mykelti either, but now that her hair is back to her natural color, you can really see how similar she, Aspyn and Ysabel look! Half the time I couldn't tell them apart when they appeared briefly on screen.
  5. There's something I'm confused about regarding the gift exchange text thread...did Robin suggest everyone jumping on a Zoom call to draw names? Or was she proposing they schedule a Zoom call to open gifts? It sounds to me, based on Janelle and Christine's re-telling, that she was asking for an immediate call, hence the mentions of "9 p.m. Eastern time" and everyone being busy.
  6. I will never understand why, during COVID, the Brown family didn't start doing weekly or monthly Zoom calls. Everyone else was doing them! Lots of families dealt with different COVID protocols or family members that were more susceptible. But there were ways they could have maintained their family bond during pandemic that it seems like they simply chose not to do. COVID was just an excuse for everyone to distance themselves the way they wanted to do for several years.
  7. You can drink with Type 1 diabetes. You have to be a little more careful, because alcohol affects your blood sugar (and obviously, there are health effects associated with too much alcohol that everyone faces). But I've never been told that I "can't" or "shouldn't" drink as a Type 1.
  8. I was surprised that JT manages his Type 1 diabetes in such an old-school way. I was diagnosed last fall and was on a continuous blood glucose monitor almost immediately, and use insulin pens versus syringes and vials of insulin. Most of the people I know who have been T1 since they were kids (like JT) are on insulin pumps. It just stuck out to me. (Google tells me it may have to do with cost and/or insurance.)
  9. Yeah, Harold needs to slow his roll juuuuust a little. I'm sure he feels under pressure because he's only there for a certain amount of time but, like, you don't need to propose on this trip. Maybe have a little bit of a long-distance relationship??
  10. There is no way Amanda's visit takes place at the end of 2022 / beginning of 2023 as she claims. They are very clearly wearing summer clothes and not outfits and outerwear that would be required in Romania in the winter! In the last episode on the rooftop bar she was in a tank and he was in a tee shirt.
  11. Mary Payne on the Pink Shade podcast just dropped an interview with Susan that was pretty interesting and gave me some more insight about why she's so picky. She's still not my favorite but I get her a little bit more now. And for Harold that seemed like the perfect date -- there were lots of things for them to talk about and yet they could still interact. He is an inventor, after all!
  12. I genuinely can't figure out WHAT Mark wants! A traditional woman who wants a family but also works and brings in income and pays her fair share? It feels like on a lot of these shows a traditional woman from overseas sort of feels like code for "A woman who will submit and do their traditional wifely duties and responsibilities and not be too difficult" but that directly conflicts with him not wanting someone who is dependent on him financially. I don't know but I think I hate Mark. Also, I don't know if it's just editing but I really really need Nathaly to shut up about her mom.
  13. I think that was a bit of projection on Debbie's part! She couldn't bring herself to say those things about Oussamma so she talked about Jeymi instead.
  14. It was so boring I fell asleep watching it. I think the problem is that we don't really have any couples that are having interesting drama. The best we've got is...Gina and Clint, and it's mostly her insulting him? Clint seems like a catch to me, even if he's a little goofy! I guess Chris and Nicole are our best hope for a couple that actually stays together but I find her annoying and him completely bland.
  15. It was fun to see someone local! Vikash the ER Doctor lives in Davis which is the next town over from Sacramento, where I live. Do we know if he and the girl from NC ever had another date? Priya really really annoyed me. I'm glad she was able to work through her issues and get serious with Vim. And I REALLY hope Bobby found someone!!
  16. The staged interactions with random store clerks or real estate agents are the funniest / most annoying thing about any of these shows about multiple partners. NO ONE CARES who/what you are buying sheets for. They are all clearly producer driven. With Kim's family, I wonder how much of it was, "We don't want to talk about your lifestyle choices," and how much of it was, "We don't want to be featured or to talk about your lifestyle choices on national TV."
  17. Has Debbie ever said why she doesn't want to bring Oussama to the US? Does she just want the adventure and romance of living with him in Morocco and writing poetry and painting all day?
  18. It's a tight race but I find Chara more annoying than Kenya. I think it's her baby voice. Also, girl is 43 and is like, "yeah, I'm ready to have a baby!" I'm not saying it's impossible but it could be very difficult.
  19. Wasn't her purse just sitting on the floor...and her laptop? Like Kirsten didn't even have an end table! It seemed really weird to me and I don't buy the back ordered furniture excuse either! I feel like Mackinley is getting a better edit than Dom. We don't see as much of his complaining (maybe he does it when the cameras aren't rolling, like the fit about the airline arrangements) we just hear her complaining about complaining. And I'm sorry, but how much ADVENTURE do you need in your day to day life? Unless he's a sit at home dude who never wants to go anywhere or do anything but I don't consider that adventure. They both have jobs, they have this show they are filming, how much time do they have for skydiving or bungee jumping or whatnot??
  20. I'm questioning Cody's white turtleneck but his fiancée is gorgeous and they look happy together!
  21. I just finished reading Dan's book, "Slonim 9" and it's even worse than what's portrayed in the documentary. I am curious about how he included so many verbatim conversations with Larry -- but it seems like a lot of things were recorded so maybe he somehow got the recordings?
  22. I've been thinking a lot about the "gingery" comment and I think Clint's issue is that gingery maybe implies more than having red hair. It can also describe someone also has pale skin and maybe even freckles -- features that can be "cute" on girls but may not be considered handsome or manly on men.
  23. If you remove the adjectives, Gina said I'm not usually attracted to [this feature] and Clint said I'm usually more attracted to [that feature]. I think they're equally guilty and Gina struck first. But Clint shouldn't have said it in front of the whole group. Mackinley (McKinley? Makinely?) has a weird sense of humor. I don't really like Dominique (Dominik?) but I can see why she has a hard time with him.
  24. Mindy has hung out with a bunch of MAFS guys (Bihn and Ryan from Houston), not that there's anything wrong with it, but I'm wondering if she's actually dating Steve?
