  1. The writing may have a lot to do with it; although, to be fair, I never saw True Blood. Plus, acting with people like Anthony Hopkins and Ed Harris has to improve your game.
  2. How do we know the dog actually killed a rabbit? According to the official website, all the animals (except flies) are hosts. Why create a rabbit? It would be easier for Arnold to just tell the boy to kill the dog after implanting a memory of the dog killing a rabbit.
  3. It is the same town, Ford rebuilt it. Charlotte mentions that to Sizemore in their scene together. It was the site of the original massacre that Dolores remembers and where the hosts were first trained, and Ford is using it as part of the back story for his new narrative.

I'm hoping that Jesus's real mission to Negan land is to teach Darryl all about hair care in the ZA.
  5. The hosts' memories are raising some questions for me. If they cannot tell the present from a memory, how can they function? As Clemintine 2.0 discovered, there can be unfortunate repercussions. How are their real memories different from their planted back story memories? Teddy had a vivid back story memory of Wyatt. Does he experience that differently from his real memories (of which he has only had flashes, so far)?

I partially agree. I am more than willing to accept whatever premise a sci-fi or horror story has. I don't care how the dead are alive, or how they can function, etc. Often, it's better if the premise isn't explained. What I do want is for the characters to react naturally and logically to that premise. And that's where TWD often falls down for me. For example, the show prides itself on showing how the dead have decayed even further. Fine. However, the dead are less a threat than an inconvenience at this point. Why haven't the Saviors or some other group done a sweep to clear the area of dead? Why doesn't Rick's group ever establish rendezvous points? Where are they getting all the gasoline (whatever was around should have gone bad by now)? Why turn cannibal when the area is probably overrun with deer by now? And so on and so forth.
  7. I think Musk must be the money man behind Westworld.
  8. I disagree that he only became TMIB recently. He had always been wearing the black hat. After his wife died, he wanted to prove that she was wrong about his true nature. "I wanted to see if I had it in me to do something truly evil." So, he shot and killed the girl, to see what his reaction would be. This was beyond anything he might have done earlier as a villain.
  9. From the quote, it's not clear whether Emily is his wife or his daughter. While I'm an early proponent of the Charlotte is TMIB's daughter, I think it would have to mean that William didn't marry Logan's sister ( for obvious reasons), which assumes William=TMIB. If William is not TMIB, it becomes more plausible.
  10. The town has been rebuilt. From the scene between Charlotte and Sizemore: Charlotte: "He [Ford] dug up some old town on the fringes of the park..."
  11. I think they find Wayward Pines.
  12. The originals were mechanical, but they have been upgraded to largely biological models.
  13. The timeline for the church/town is a bit confusing: The town is the original Westworld area, where the hosts were trained. The massacre (by Arnold?) occurs. The church/town is burned and buried. For most of the present, it remains buried, but we were told in this episode that Ford had rebuilt it for his new storyline. In this episode, if we accept the multiple timelines theories, Dolores saw it as it was originally, as it was when she visited it with William (buried), then after it was rebuilt (note that in her first view of the rebuilt town, there were no hosts present; the hosts appeared when she remembered the massacre).
  14. Why not? It might be Negan free, after all.
  15. I know that feeling!
  16. TMIB said to Teddy "What if I told you that I'm here to set you free?" (If quote isn't word for word, I'm sure Phoenyx can correct it!)
  17. I wondered why they drew attention to her. If she's such an old host, why didn't TMIB already know her? More evidence for two timelines, TMIB=William. Based on what TMIB told Teddy, he had been married for 30 years, which fits for William marrying Logan's sister. Perhaps Logan is killed by Dolores, this being the "incident" that has been referenced. William somehow becomes a bigwig and saves the park. After his wife commits suicide, he turns over the reins to his daughter, Charlotte Hale. I'm guessing that her choice of Abernathy was deliberate; if not, it's very poor writing, in my opinion. The massacre at the town was carried out by Arnold (who may be the inspiration for Wyatt). He attacked the hosts, hoping that one would fight back, and one did (Dolores?), killing him. Notice that when Bernard asked if his family was real, Ford dodged the question. Maeve echoed the same idea of only having pain left from her deceased family. Is this something Arnold programmed into the hosts he created, in memory of his own family?

I expect to see a Dwight redemption arc, culminating in his death, and probably his wife's death also. Haven't read the comics, so this is unspoiled speculation.
  19. It's not as easy as it looks, although you do get to lie down on the job.
  20. Nygma's suspicions were aroused the moment he realized the accident scene was only four blocks away from Isabella's apartment. That's why he questioned the blind guy.
  21. I tend to agree. But I wonder how Ford is going to explain Theresa's death. He doesn't want proof that hosts are dangerous, so he shouldn't blame it on one; nor do I think he wants anyone to know that Bernard is a robot. How does he move her body from his hidden lab without an explanation. I would think that there would have to be some sort of investigation into her death.

It's from the movie "Airplane!", you can probably find clips on YouTube.

This made me think of an "Airplane!" inspired scene of people committing suicide to avoid having to listen to Negan.
  24. It's not the same shirt he was wearing originally, I don't know when it changed. Presumably he changed shirts in Pariah, as I haven't seen him carrying luggage with him.
  25. Probably just regular bullets, as the hosts are mainly flesh, bones, and blood now.
