  1. I don't understand Rose being so upset about the treatment of Noor. They were trying to make the plan work, in good faith every step of the way. It was Noor's idiot brother, for one thing, who mucked things up. And so frequently someone explains something to someone and it's like the other does not even hear it and goes on with their erroneous argument. I don't like a lot of the writing but it's entertaining enough, and at this point I'm pretty much committed to finish.
  2. Why help him by portraying him as just a man doing what he promised and that the voters wanted? Dems should portray him as a con man, who conned everyone again, while also explaining what they would do. Even Trump's advisors were surprised at some of his appointments. And also the sweeping nature of the 1/6 pardons. And other things. He insisted no Project 2025 stuff. Voters interviewed pre-election would say he's just a talker and won't do the more extreme things he said. So did politicians and pundits. I wouldn't be as quick as Mika and others on the show to say that voters are getting what they expected and shouldn't be surprised.
  3. Mika persists with this thinking. She's been saying no one should be surprised about various other things, even where Trump is going further than anyone expected, and polls show people dislike, and they did not vote for. I notice several guests on the show say the same thing. John Meacham, this morning for example. As soon as I hear the discussion turn this way I tune out - it seems like the official MJ line. The anti-Trump, and logical direction, is to repeatedly emphasize that Trump is going against what he was elected to do.
  4. I wonder if they'll be back on the show tomorrow, or if they'll use the funeral as an excuse for another day off.
  5. I wonder if the CA fires have damaged/destroyed many of the houses or areas spotlighted in this show. Anyone know the extent, if any? Beverly Hills, the Bird Streets, etc.?
  6. Joe once again talks about his anger at Biden's handlers at vetoing his doing things like the Super Bowl interview. Look, Biden could have done these things if he wanted. He's been around so supposedly knows the score on traditional things like that. Joe is actually making an argument that Biden was mentally out of it. Blaming the staff is ridiculous. And then Mika comes on and says Biden could have won if he'd hung in there.
  7. I just started on this - midway through ep. 2. This has the worst music to it I've ever heard. The singing is always so bad it's just annoying. I've started muting it when music starts.
  8. David Frum yesterday - "If you're too drunk for Fox News, you're very very drunk indeed." An outrageous and entertaining comment comparable to virtually anything Gutfeld and others say about MSNBC on Fox. When David left, Mika objected to this language. She wouldn't have objected in the past. Think of all the things George Conway said on the show, e.g. This is Mika who has some odd thinking going on in her head and pushing it, in a cowardly way, after Frum left, and Joe standing by his wife. It fits in with the criticisms that they became fearful of Trump. Make the show more interesting, not a more milquetoast-Mika direction. Let people say outrageous things, discuss it in real time, not cowardly after the guest has left. And have more guests from the other side on issues. That's how to make the show more interesting. Not the Mika approach.
  9. Mika's "thing" this show was no one should be surprised about any of these appointments. Her thinking is voters knew this would happen and chose this. So, I guess, she's implying, not just don't be shocked, but move on?? When she gets this sort of "thing" going on in her head nothing anyone can say will dispel it. People over and over were saying these picks go beyond what anyone, even repubs, expected or voted for. Yet Mika persists with this obsession. Later edit. The RFK Jr app't this afternoon in fact IS something no one should be surprised at. Trump and RFK have been saying this for weeks. She should not lump this in with her belief no one should be surprised about Gaetz.
  10. Agreed. And YouTube gets clips from news shows up pretty fast. I'll look for those when there's news that's of interest. And I get local stations, with an antenna, for sports.
  11. Yeah. I'm dropping cable and will get into more binge watching of TV shows. Bosch, Goliath, Justified, Ozark, House, Lost, Andy Griffith, Leave It to Beaver, etc. etc. ... so much to keep me occupied for years.
  12. Bill keeps bragging about his prediction that Trump wouldn't leave office in 2021. But Bill, he did voluntarily leave office. You were wrong! And you weren't just saying he'd never concede. You were asking guests such as Amy Klobuchar how to physically get him out of there when he refuses to leave. It was a completely wrong prediction. Also he said something like "do I wish Kamala would assert a better reason to run other than 'I'm not Trump? Yes." How idiotic. Kamala has put forth a plethora of policies for the good of people and she spends most of the time on her speeches talking policy. Bill is way over his head in talking politics, though he thinks he's a genius. I can't believe he made such a big deal about Biden's "garbage" comment, which was a repub distortion that the media bought in on. The only people still bringing that up at this point are MAGA folks and real dumb folks. And he said nothing about Trump's guns pointed at Liz Cheney's head comment. Really really bad judgment by Bill. Reflects serious underlying cognitive problems growing.
  13. In the Seth Myers clip, Mika gets back to the old thing of rolling her eyes and negatively saying "we do FOUR hours every morning, 5 days a week!!". They used to trash this work schedule on MJ, but stopped. I bet they were advised by a producer to stop because it turns off viewers. They AGREED to the contract and they make many millions. To complain about it is ridiculous. Plus they work maybe 90 minutes of the 4 hours and they seem to be off 2 days a week on average. And the producers do most of the pre-show prep for them. Yet, on Seth Myers I guess she thought it would be entertaining.
  14. Worst opening of the show ever and very annoying. They were completely at a loss of words for a long time and then when Joe did start speaking it was slow and really saying nothing and couldn't get to a point. Like they weren't fully awake yet. Struck me as a day that they both would have normally taken off, but were there only because the election is Tuesday.
