I'm loving this season. Seems to me like one of the best of the whole two series. I look forward to the next episodes more than usual. Seems like Maddie is becoming more believable as a cop. This series has to end with Bosch stating the line "And so it goes." It should be a federal crime not to. LOL

Everyone knew Trump would bring tariffs. He campaigned on it. That's pretty much a given and to focus on that for 5 minutes is a distortion. It's a thing with the show to harp on that always. (And it's the MAGA line, which MAGA uses to justify it.) Mika's comments have indicated a clear purpose for this emphasis ... to say the show was always right and anyone who didn't expect all this (economists, the markets) is wrong. By doing so, she's basically fighting for the MAGA line. BUT, the issue now is the way he's recklessly implementing them. No one reasonably expected that. He campaigned on tariffs in 2016 and made mistakes but kept things relatively stable. He paid attention to the stock market. Quite different from now. The big story now is that no one could have predicted he's totally disregarding the markets and implementing them in a way most economists and the markets are saying is totally stupid.

I just watched Fri's show for 15 minutes on the Peacock app. First, the banner showed Dow futures down around 1120, and Joe is ignoring that, saying some stocks are green, and basically that mkts aren't so bad this morning. Willie very gently corrects him. (Soon China announces retaliation and the markets fall further.) After that, it is amazing Joe/Lemire spent 5 minutes talking about how Trump is doing exactly as promised, that he has advocated tariffs for decades, apparently that he has the courage of his convictions. That people should have expected this. Except for when Lemire finally pipes in that the problem was all about *implementation*. They argue to believe Trump when he says these are real and not for negotiation. Then they show a clip of Trump saying there could be negotiation. These folks are all messed up. Then Rattner eventually chimes in that no one was expecting the stupid way this was done. That's why the mkts went down so steeply. So, will Joe/Mika stop with their thing that Trump is just an honest, courageous broker on tariffs and the people/markets are stupid? Doubtful. Seems to me like there is still a fear of Trump permeating Mika/Joe/Lemire, probably going back to the Mar a Lago visit.

I'm surprised their contract allows so many days off. The powers at MSNBC need to require them both to be there at least 4 days a week and do at least a certain amount of time per show. It seems like the two divide it up too much now as to who's going to be the "unlucky person to do it today!" And then maybe 1 or 2 days a week they both appear.

I disagree. Unlike sociopathic killers, they are only killing in self defense, or people who tried to kill them and could try again, or because of evil motives could cause harm again and jeopardize their justifiable, good mission and ruin their lives.

The first 20 minutes or so were an idiotic, erroneous self-congratulatory display. Their thinking is so childish and simple minded and wrong. LaMire was a pure yes-man. And they had no guests on to challenge anything. Their argument is basically that "if Trump says something, you better darn well believe it!! He's an honest man and does what he says!!" So we were to believe he'd do tariffs in a reckless way, causing the markets to collapse, even though he prided himself first term on the markets?? And they are right and the stock market and business leaders and repub politicians were all wrong? So many counter-arguments to them it's ridiculous. I'm done with these clowns and now think they are just not good for the country. The sooner MSNBC replaces them, the better.

I watched for maybe half an hour to see how they're doing things right now. Seems to me that the effect of what they're doing is major gaslighting, intentional or not. Joe chose to distract from the most potent issue in what Musk said in the opening clip. Mika repeated nonsense she always spouts even though she is usually corrected, but now Joe is vigorously defending her. Rattner and Ed Luce at least emphasized the correct things, but then Joe and Mika would just repeat their own focuses.

Voluntary departures happen when the going gets tough or tedious and compensation keeps getting reduced. There's other things they can do.

The librarian thought himself to be a decent, honorable, good guy. But I can't get over that he killed that real librarian and wife, in cold blood. He was an evil man, make no mistake about it.

I think the show is in it's last legs. Joe's lost some enthusiasm. Mika has said things lately indicating she can't handle politics discussions and wants to avoid them. She looked extremely bothered yesterday and barely said a word. I guess she needed a rest today - she was out. If MSNBC doesn't let them go they might just quit on their own. I watched a little of the 7:00 hour. Joe went out of his way to point out that the business leaders still like Trump and in general he's just as popular as when he was elected. They love to have British women on, so Tina Brown was on, hyping how great their PM is and what a genius move it was to invite Trump to visit the King. And she went on to hype the monarchy as a great institution. Joe just let everything go unchallenged.

I haven't seen any comment on the "Cake Incident" at the beginning, involving the daughter at her school. The school mishandled it badly. They should have said it was about the daughter humiliating a fellow student. Plain and simple. The viewpoint expressed was not the problem. The fact that the kid ate all the cake is not the problem. It's just that she humiliated another student, and she needs to be corrected from doing that.

I can buy the premise of an underground city for 25K people. And that something happened to wipe out most of the human race. But I cannot buy that the American people would elect such an idiot for President!!

They opened with a clip of Musk at the cabinet meeting saying they restored the ebola funding. Last night's prime shows were all over the fact that this was a lie. So, after the clip does Mika state that this was Musk lying? No. She says something like "this was a scene from a cabinet meeting yesterday". I didn't watch the whole show, and maybe someone addressed it later, but the old show would have pointed it out as a lie right off the bat. Later edit: At the 22 minute mark they discuss the falsehood.
