S07.E20: Vianey and Allen's Story LIVE CHAT
aliya replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in My 600-lb Life
Good evening. My eating habit is peanut butter. I'm sorry. -
I'm a big fan of HI and have had a few exchanges with Anthony on FB. There are 4 seasons on Prime, but I've paid for a number of them as well. I don't think I'd stay in a small family hotel (tho I would and have stayed in B&Bs) - I've seen too many problems from bad management and lack of funds to do routine maintenance, have decent sheets, etc.
-
Not surprised. I learned all I needed to know about him when they wound up in the hotel room with the wrong sized bed.
-
I paid for this and have been running it a few times to see why people think Robert & Katheryn are some kind of saints. My impression is he was a selfish, controlling person who was not nice to those around him. In the 1st hotel room with the smaller bed, listen to his tone of voice when he tells her to "move that table" and "It's a full, isn't it?" But here's what's been on my mind. After the fall and while he's in the van, he calls Dr Now. He's looking for pain meds - but they're in the car, way outside of Little Rock. What was Dr Now supposed to do - drop the drugs to him via a drone? Phone in a script to the nearest drug store? And wouldn't they be traveling with a bunch of drugs anyway? I found him unlikable and didn't really care about his addiction. He had been big, had lived for years in a nursing home, couldn't help his sick mother, or get married to the girlfriend, all because he wouldn't stop eating. He laid there like a big baby while his toilet needs were attended to and food was brought to him. Nope. No tears here.
-
I wish a long and productive life to Dr. Now - 'cause if he keeps bringing us shows like this, he's got an audience forever.
-
Yay - she's "done." Go back to Ohio and die. And it will be a cold day in Houston before Dr Now apologizes to this heifer.
-
Yup. Anywhere near 600 lbs is still very risky, even if Dr Now is an expert at surgery on the super obese. She can't be smoking. She can't be ignoring the diet because if she does that on the other side of the surgery, she risks complications. What part of this is she not getting? If you're 600 lbs, you can't just get the surgery because you want it.
-
Jeez - It took 4 people to raise $55 in 2 months! 😄 Sounds like even the people who know her don't give a .... about what happens to her.
-
Really. I'm listening to that and thinking, with any luck, she'll die before he has any idea who she is.
-
-
Oh wait - I know it's not being a good Mormon, to say this, but eff this bitch. Really. And yeah, she's high. She can stay right where she is. "What you seem to need is a calculator." Savage. Brutal!
-
Another one who wants to prove him wrong. And she's got a freakin' attitude. I don't like to see people w/attitude talking to my doctor. I hope she explodes.
-
Dang - switching back & forth to In the Kitchen w/David (I'm a sucker for Lock & Lock). why is she calling Dr Now? Did she get weighed - did she not lose weight?
-
Oh my good Lord. I'm 'watching' this w/my back to the TV so I can post and it sounds like a commercial for lung cancer prevention and that she's talking thru an airway stent.
-
"Serious problem with delusion with all of you." Tell it, Dr. Now. No way could that skinny guy be eating more. People love to say stupid stuff like that. And, dollars to donuts that the daughter doesn't stop smoking, pregnant or not.

Naw. And white gravy w/biscuits sounds just awful.
-
Jeez - the forum wasn't open right on time, I take a quick peek at FB, and now there are 5 pages of responses. 😩 I'm strongly debating making some peanut butter cookies in the air fryer. My eating habit was kielbasa, onions & peppers in sauce over a bit of rice (sorry keto). This obesee is a piece of work. Hard woman.
-
Jeez - just another one of those things that I didn't need to know in life. I went back and read more posts and wanted to comment about seeing all the food laid out, etc. They do this on 'Secret Eaters' where the people have no idea why they've put on weight 'cause of course they eat healthy, but then they see the liquor, the snacks, the dinners before dinner, the pub food after the gym, etc. When you aren't tracking it, it can be hard to see what you are really eating. I noticed that when obesees actually track their foods/calories, they do so much better. It's hard to fool yourself when you're writing it all down - and when you start to go off track, you can catch it quicker.

OK, Janine has become my new James K and I watch it frequently (tho I turn off once they learn about the dad). Here's a question for the medical professionals here: What was that lump on her leg? I don't think Dr Now describes it as anything other than a "mass on your leg" and infected and dirty. It didn't look like other lymphedema we've seen, but maybe that doesn't mean anything. Also, why wouldn't someone go to the doctor with that? You'd think that would be so painful that you'd try to deal with it early on. If she's on disability, she has some kin of insurance (medicaid?). I can't imagine being forced to sit around in a chair due to weight, and sitting on that painful lump all day. jeez.
-
Oh my goodness - this sounds like the movie 'Downsizing' with Matt Damon - smaller people w/a smaller carbon footprint.
-
How great is that guy, huh? 😄
-
I missed the 'no salad zone.' Who said it and why?
-
Lola - and a heck of a wig, too. 😄
