I am doing intermittent fasting and working my way up to One meal a day (OMAD). I have looked at a number of people on YT who have lost tons (as in over 100lbs) of weight doing OMAD. Guess what? They lose weight! They lose weight even if they eat more than a salad. This guy isn't eating salads and skipping meals. As Dr Now says, the scale doesn't lie.

And on top of that, they have something terrible happen and the 'baby's daddy' is no where to be seen. We don't know how the father felt about the baby, but once again, let's show that we don't need to be concerned over men's feelings, even when the man loses a baby. I wonder if he's at home, sad?

If you like kitchen gadgets, we have a kitchen gadget page on FB where we watch ITKWD and talk about our purchases from QVC and other places and the foods we've made with them. Sometimes we have to put ourselves in 'gadget jail' so we don't spend our children's inheritances. On the other hand, there are more than a few who are quite happy to be doing so!

As a former professor of library and information science, I am beyond sad to hear this. We want everyone to be able to read - not just novels and such, but to have good reading skills for work and self-improvement. No child should be told they are dumb just because they are having difficulties learning to read.

My sister has been retired for a year now. She teases me about getting up early, having to make my lunch, dealing with office stuff. Yeah. I'll be happy when this albatross is off of my neck.

Pounders - I forgot the big news of the day - I gave them my retirement notice! I'm out the last day of July (my birthday is the 1st week in August and I wanted to be free by then). I'm gonna stay home and buy stuff from QVC.

I think 90% of her behavior is fake. I don't know who she's been dealing with in life, but as a lapsed lawyer and college professor who is used to a lot of different personality types who want something from you, I'd be on my guard with her all the time. She's the kind of person who appears nice and then becomes very needy. You think you should help her out, because she's so nice, right?, but then you get sucked into being a servant. I noticed on reddit how many people thought she was sweet. Nope. That is not a sweet personality. That is not a real personality. Like ALL of these obesees, they know how to manipulate people to get what they want - Janine just does it with a saccharine sweet affect, while others are verbally abusive.

This is finally up on YT and I was able to see the parts I missed due to the tornado. OMGoodness, the screaming on this one. We had a young mother with Stage 4 breast cancer in my church a few years ago. She had chemo and radiation, wore a wig, was on pain meds, and came in with her drains. She continued to care for her 5 kids because she was afraid she was going to die and didn't want to be parted from them. She was nauseous from the meds, but bravely said to some of us, "Thank goodness I had morning sickness, so I know how to deal with this." I am sure she suffered, but when she was able to come to church, I never heard one word from her. Janine should have walked around a few wards in the hospital and see what real suffering looks like. I don't doubt Janine was in pain from that surgery, but the best thing for her would be to work through the pain and get up and around, but, like most obesees, she wasn't willing to help herself. Did anyone else notice the fatigue in Dr Now's voice when he brought in the 'supersized' wheelchair? Kinda sad that this is the wench who makes him sound tired just dealing with her. Does anyone know if she could have used a wheelchair instead of a scooter?

As my mother said (many times), "I am neither your friend nor your peer." It was an interesting household.

I can only hope that 1. the storms pass and 2. I can stay awake long enough to catch the rerun so I can see the end of the show. I feel cheated. $#**& tornadoes.

I can't take it. Satellite is frozen because heavy rain is coming through. Got another phone call from university about tornado. Enough already. Y'all have to tell me what happens on her date.

I was shocked for a moment, until I remembered the show. I actually met John Inman at a book signing in Ann Arbor years ago. He looked just like on the show, even after all these years, and was so personable.

A former student who lives in a farm area of Iowa (I think it's all farm area, at least the part that's not given over to the pigs) 😄 called me last night. She said a neighbor could not get his crop in on time because it's been so rainy. That's one guy - she thought the same would be true for a lot of farmers. It's been raining like before Noah's flood here, so I'm not surprised it's having negative consequences. Yay! Higher food costs for everyone!

Lord. Sirens went off again. Five tornado warnings in the area. Now big thunderstorms coming through (I think that's what the siren is for). Well, if you're not freezing to death in the winter, you're hiding from tornadoes in the spring. One of the tornadoes is around the Amana colonies - as in Amana refrigerators and lots of handmade wooden furniture. Nice day out for the tourists if there's no tornado coming through.

Good grief, stop chewing gum when you are speaking to someone. You should have spit it out before you came to the office or in the waiting room. This is business - right now, your weight loss is the most important business of your life. You don't discuss business while you chew gum. /prep school nun rant

You'd think for someone with a fashion degree, she'd know not to wear a muumuu with a big red heart that looks like a target on your stomach.
