Yes. If you watch any of the weight-related shows from the UK, almost all of them eat on their laps on the couch - not even a TV tray. I don't know how they do it.

Chad, "It still hurts to move, but I can walk a lot further." When I first started this job, I had to take the little disability / old people golf cart from one end of the hospital to the other. I don't anymore. You have to try, even if it hurts.

She should be ashamed, complaining like that. I know everyone has a different pain level. Usually I have to have more than 1 numbing shot for dental work, so I understand, but Dr Now has seen a lot of these patients. He knows the pain level that is normal and that Pauline is full of stuff. I bet she could have taken a few aspirin or Tylenol while she waited all day for Dr Now and at least taken the edge off of the pain, but that's not what she wants. She wants drugs (understandable 😄 ). Often, my hips hurt so much when walking thru the hospital (where I do audits on research), I have to stop and sit down or just stand in place for a moment. Pauline doesn't want to feel any pain. Well, sweetie, that's not life - especially if you eat yourself into 600 lb category. Things are going to hurt, or be difficult to do. Adapt and overcome.

My only child is grown; we are close as well. He lived across the street from me and I loved it, but when he bought a new house the other month, what could I say? Don't go, sweetie? (well, yeah, I did, but...) I know he has to live his life and we were very fortunate to find houses across from each other, but that's not likely again. I do plan on moving closer to him in another year, though. He's only 15 minutes away, but it seems so far... He's cute, though. I'm going to retire at the end of the month. When he put an offer on the house, he said, "When you retire, you can come and sit in my house all day if you want." He works from home. I think he wants me to make lunch for him. 😄

I think he was shot. I vaguely recall her saying it was a "wrong place, wrong time" kind of thing. Mothers often don't know what their kids are up to, so who knows if he was into something or not? OMG - how old is Dillon? He's huge. I can't imagine he dates - not because of his size, but his soft face & the hair. This is not dating material.

The surgeries these people have to have! You'd think that alone would stop you from eating too many grapes.

I got a phone call at work that the physician researcher had died and there was a subject coming from out of town to participate in the research study. We had to scramble to get someone else on the team named as principal investigator and the study modified; you can't just let it continue with a dead investigator. I felt bad for his team; you have a colleague who's died, but you need to get the research done to help other people live.

I missed it. One minute she was waiting for surgery, I guess I blinked, and the next thing, she was talking about getting a hotel room. What happened?

I didn't know that. Why didn't she go, even in a wheelchair? Some people can't handle the funeral of someone so close to them, so I'll reserve any comments until I know why she didn't go.

How y'all doing? My habit is a big chopped salad of spring mix, walnuts, zucchini, tomatoes, kalamata olives, garbanzo beans, and some good (but kinda expensive) Greek dressing. I might make myself an almond milk shake w/frozen berries. It is getting harder to work as my retirement date approaches. I might have to call out sick a few times. ☺️ Not sure what to think about Milla. She doesn't bother me, and I give her credit for adopting those kids, but apparently she bothers a lot of you guys. It's been a couple of years, right? I hope the kids are growing up and enjoying more of their own lives instead of being servants to their mother.

I bought my sister an air fryer maybe 4-5 months ago. She went from, "What do I do, what do I do?" to posting pictures almost every day on the FB page we're on and telling folks about recipes and how to cook stuff in the AF. I've unleashed a monster.

So, in the chat for this show, someone mentioned Rocky Mountain Spotted Feet and I said I would tell aliya jr about it and see his reaction since he borders on the hypochondriac as far as I'm concerned. I sent him an email from work and told him it was spreading east from the Rockies and not to walk around barefoot or in grass that was too high and to check his feet. Well, aliya jr told his girlfriend and told her not to walk outside barefoot. The thing is, they both looked it up on Google and couldn't find anything about it. Aliya jr told her, that since I audit human subjects research and see a lot of warnings and papers before the general public, maybe that's where I got my info. 😄 After I heard all this, I told him it was a joke. "I don't play jokes very often." "There's a reason, mom." 😂

I used to order Tastykakes when we lived in Seattle. My son was a school kid in Philly and loved them - please, who doesn't love a butterscotch krimpet? "Clap, clap, clap and yum, yummy, yummy, Tastykake cakes and pies. So much fun to put in your tummy, Tastykake cakes and pies." From memory. We had Tastykake in DC when I was a kid. Food of the gods.

No kidding. I've seen some earlier pictures of him recently, and, well, weight comes to us all, I guess.

In the Kitchen with David on QVC is selling butter cakes right now (whatever they are). Maybe that will help? 😄
