  1. So wait - no big long road trip with multiple stops for fast food?
  2. I didn't want to say anything, but... In my first career, I was an attorney. I didn't do criminal or juvenile law, but I had friends who did. If things happened as she said, I'm sorry she had those experiences. If she told me this, I would certainly accept her at her word - in front of me - but then I would investigate. In my 2nd career as a professor, I certainly read a number of cases of college women accusing the guy they slept and then it turns out she felt bad about having sex, getting drunk, or he was going to break up with her, etc. Not everything a woman says is true. Sadly, on a lot of campuses, the admins act like it is, and men have been expelled, suspended, their names in the student paper, etc., before anything has been proved. If the woman recants, the guy's rep is still in tatters.
  3. Where is she from? The complexion looks like mixed race in Louisiana, but I'm not hearing an LA accent.
  4. She has a 9 mth old???? Howdy, pounders! My eating habit was some turkey kielbasa, onions & peppers in red sauce over a little rice. One thing I like about OMAD is that seemingly I can eat a bit more carb w/o it messing with my diabetes.
  5. I think that's it exactly. If you can be HAES, then why worry about what you eat? Eat anything you want and all that you want - even if you are studying (ha ha) to be a trainer. That's why she walks around in a sports bra, etc. If we don't like it, it's our problem, instead of an example of her lack of propriety.
  6. Well, I could have been doing laundry or something while that snoozefest was on. See you guys next week. Bring your diet printouts.
  7. She lost it again???? I can't with this one.
  8. We had to have Latin for 2 years; it was available for 4. We also had to have a modern language. I placed out of Michigan's language requirement because I got almost an 800 on the Spanish test. Those prep school nuns were hard core, but it was a great education. Sex ed taught by a nun was a little different, but you can't have everything. 😄
  9. Jeez - stop complaining. Just stop. It's not attractive and you sound like a person with no self-respect. No one wants to go to Houston with you because you are a miserable person to be around. There.
  10. Hey, I color in adult coloring books. I used to embroider and got a a nice pattern to work on after retirement, but so far I'm just reading, playing computer games, & cleaning the house. Coloring books is about all I can handle. I did go back to 20 hrs at work, but from home so I don't have to deal w/other humans.
  11. No. I'm in Iowa. But I converted to LDS about 10 yrs ago and a lot of the missionaries we get are from Utah. I don't do much crafting, but the women with kids do. Oh wait, I did make 3 rag wreaths for my bedroom. I guess that counts.
  12. Once again, none of these people ever packs a cooler.
  13. We were supposed to get 6-12" of snow. Thankfully, the storm passed just south of us and it's a beautiful (if cold) day. Just like in Fargo.
  14. I used to think pineapple on pizza was an abomination, but I get pizza for the missionaries and one time they asked for pineapple on it (is it a western thing? most of these guys are from Utah). I tried a piece and I liked it. Who knew?
  15. Last Sunday after church I stopped by Domino's and got a small thin crust veggie pizza. I am not supposed to shop on the Sabbath; I can't even take the missionaries out to eat on the Sabbath, so I knew I was doing wrong, but... hey, every 6 months or so, I like a pizza on thin crust. Shoot me. And in case I hadn't sinned enough by shopping on the Sabbath - I got pineapple on it. 😄 (Before people go nuts, we don't really count it as a sin, just something you aren't supposed to do on the Sabbath. No one's going to hell over a pizza.)
  16. Jeez. I would love to see one of these obesees eat some really interesting food, some nice ethnic food, something besides the trash they usually shovel into their maws.
  17. Hey people! Looking forward to this one. My eating habit was 2 veggie burgers, some veggie baked beans, and a whipped yogurt.
  18. I was trying to get a picture of him lifting weights, but they were all videos and wasn't sure about posting them. He does lift and yeah, I thought they might be two different things. I'm just saying Twit isn't near ready to show the world how big women can lift.
  19. Somebody who is into weightlifting please help - Should Twit be lifting at her current fitness level and weight? My nephew has his Masters in this area (forget the exact title), has client & works with a local sports team. He lifts in competitions. It would seem that you should get fit first, maybe not perfect, but lose some dang weight, then think about competitions. I'm not against her lifting, just the competition thing. I guess it's all drama for the show, but it may give some of her heavier fans the wrong idea.
  20. It's amazing what childhood trauma will make you do, huh? 😄 I used to give my son Vienna sausage when he was little. When he got older, I mentioned it one day and since then, he's been like, "What were you thinking to give me that garbage?" I'm sorry. I didn't know. I thought it was a nice soft meat snack for a little kid. Give me a break. It's been 40 years.
  21. Are you Scandinavian? That's the kind of thing my Norwegian friend liked to eat (though she developed a taste for American salad dressing while she was in grad school here).
