  1. I got a reduction years ago. It was the best thing I ever did for myself. The girls are still perky.
  2. Oh, Lordy, Lordy! Internet romance in the middle of a major life change. How can this go wrong? Not against internet romance in general. My son is marrying a girl he met online (and has actually dated for almost 2 years and sees in person). It's just that there are times to do that and times when other life issues should take precedence.
  3. Apparently the "me and her" (God, I hate that) way of dealing with their weight before it gets too late does not involve cutting down on the fast food. Nope. Not gonna do it. Wouldn't be prudent.
  4. I live by myself and it can be difficult to just be with me sometimes. 😄
  5. It is. I like Gardein products in general, but they really hit the mark with this one. It's Thanksgiving all over again.
  6. Girlfriend has her sleep cap on so her hair can look good on TV (which it does, actually).
  7. Yo, yo, yo, my people! Eating habit was Gardein breaded 'turkey' cutlets (vegan), some stuffing, cranberry sauce, and sweet potato, washed down with some chocolate soy milk.
  8. Yeah. I'm not sure what the problem was with moving to the ground floor. They said it was a master suite, so it's probably pretty big with a bath. I'd move. 😃 One reason I retired is that I couldn't deal with walking thru our commuter lot and around campus in the snow. I used a cane, mostly out of fear, and I was still stressed. I was able to get a PT gig with my old office, working online completely from home. Life is good - especially when I look out the window and see 6" of snow.
  9. Even when I was in college, I wasn't much of a drinker (and certainly not beer). I missed the detail on the drinking game that Twit was apparently aces at. What were they doing? Just downing multiple cups of beer? Once again, there is nothing attractive about this woman. "Hey mom, here's my fiance! She's great a drinking games. What do you mean, am I worried about fetal alcohol syndrome with our kids?"
  10. I'm in Iowa. When I retired this summer, people asked if I were moving. Nope. Aside from the fact that my only child is here, the living is easy, the people are nice, there's plenty of farm fresh food, and I don't have to go anywhere when it snows. Why leave? 😄 My sister bought her 1st house a couple of years ago when she retired (in NC, by the way). She took what little retirement she had left (it's not a good thing to let people borrow against their fund, just saying), found a cheap place on line and has been a happy camper ever since. Most of her grandkids are about 90 minutes away - close enough to visit, far enough not be a pain. She worked long hours in retail and was never a cook. When she got the house, I sent her a few kitchen items, turned her on to QVC In the Kitchen with David, convinced her to buy some Curtis Stone cookware, and now she thinks she's Gordon Ramsey. It's a whole different life.
  11. Hmm. Not sure where to go with the parental unit thing. I hang out in my upstairs office, watching TV, working, doing the internet thing. I carry my food upstairs all the time. I bring the laundry up and down. I carry my trash up and down. I'm a bit concerned about falling down the stairs and should probably stop doing it with a lot of stuff in my hands. Stairs kill people. I will probably move to a ranch in 2 yrs or so. More because I'm tired of doing 2 sets of stairs w/laundry than a fear of stairs. It would just make life easier. Since I'm kinda looking at real estate, I clicked on a nice senior condo in a new development near me. All I could think of, was everyone looked so old! Even tho I'm in the age group, I don't look like these people. Maybe they're in their late 70's & 80's or something. I ain't there yet, as nice as it was. My son is different from Twit. He still sees me as the gorgeous 38 yr old mom he had when he was 15. 😃 He thinks I can do everything and doesn't help me out too much. "You can do it! You can do it!" He doesn't want me to lose any function. Certainly, neither do I, but darn, I'm 66. Give me a break sometimes.
  12. I don't drink, but I sure just had a Fudgesicle.
  13. Oh my Lord, my son didn't pull such dramatics when he wanted to stay home 'sick' from school.
  14. I sent my sister a video with manatees. Who knew she didn't like them/gets freaked out by them? She shouldn't have told me. I made it my mission to send her manatee stuff from amazon. Don't mess with me. I have a credit card. 😄
  15. I've had 2 friends get hip replacements, including 1 I picked up at the hospital. The docs have these folks up and walking pretty soon. It's amazing. One of our departmental admins had a heart attack while back. I think he spent 3 days in the hospital and went home. They don't let you just lie around anymore.
  16. I think she said 'pannus.' (a dense layer of fatty tissue - Wikipedia)
  17. That blob is having an elderly man push her wheelchair?? Shame on her.
  18. I'm pretty sure he's been down this road before.
  19. I worry about anyone claiming 'repressed memories.' I think the experts have decided (after many people's lives were ruined) that they probably don't occur or are very rare.
  20. Oh my goodness. I turned around from the computer to go downstairs and saw the TV and that stomach. Whoa. Again, the 6 million dollar question - how do you not stop yourself from getting that big?
  21. Gotta go find something to eat, probably black-eyed peas, some chicken & coleslaw. Be back in a bit.
