I only watched the first two seasons, but I was curious to see how FS would end. Yeah, that was zzzzzzz...glad I got out when I did.

The Fosters has good moments with music, but this one stands out to me. 02x17 - "The Silence She Keeps" Mariana walking out, Callie going to the judge to live with her birth father, and Daphne confessing to the cops. It really helps drive home the emotions of the characters.

Moving this over from the Media thread: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/fosters-producers-callie-brandons-journey-816113 @LisaM It has to be. I'm sad about this, but when I thought of 3B storylines after 03x09, this was one of the first things that came to mind. There's no way she's going to die (she might come close), but I'm already so emotionally invested in Stef as a character. Callie has formed such a strong bond with her (and S & L just became her legal moms) that it's going to be hard for her (and everyone else, obviously) to see her weak and sick. Teri Polo is going to kill it, knock it out of the park. It also looks like Callie's adoption is going to stick, which I'm happy about. It's not the way I wanted it to happen, but that's TV (and life).

And she plays guitar.

+1. After tonight, I've learned that I cannot quit this show; I always get pulled back in. I will more than likely stick with it until the end. I love Stef and Lena as characters; their fight was so good. I've watched it like three more times. Teri and Sherri are fantastic.

I hope that Stef really doesn't have cancer. The show could throw a curve ball or something. Teri would kill it in the acting. Stef/Lena fights are so well-done. I'm glad that Nate truly apologized. OMFG, I can't believe Callie's adoption actually went through! I really didn't think they would do it. But...pregnancy scare...

I'm probably gonna quit watching live and just stream the episodes and fast-forward through Brallie. Last night's overall ratings were the show's third-worst, behind 03x03 and 03x02. The demo was down to 0.4 from 0.5.

I was talking about the shippers in general, of course. I'm sure you're an outlier. I'm really hoping that they used protection.
-
I don't know if I'm going to stick around long enough to watch that mess. The Brallie shippers are rabid NOW; throw a love child in the mix and they will go INSANE.
-
Yeah, there's no way Callie will let Stef and Lena adopt her. She and Brandon could never have any kind of "sibling" relationship after this. This has to take it off the table for good. Sad. Whyyyyyyyyyy did the show have to go there????????????? (Will they make Callie pregnant?) Seeing Stef cry makes me cry, like she's my own mom. lol There goes Callie, sacrificing her happiness for others for the millionth time...I have no room to talk, I'm the same way. Obviously, Brandon was going to win, even though he broke the rules by playing his own piece, but that's TV. I like Mat and Mariana together, I hope they can work things out. I actually missed seeing Jude.

Major spoiler for 03x09, saw it on the IMDB boards: Brandon cheats during his Idyllwild presentation to get into Disney Hall: Once again he gets what he wants by *beep* cheating! He uses a backing track during his composition performance and instead of getting disqualified he's praised to the hilt and ends up winning the competition. Even though he actually stops for a few seconds while the track plays!!! WTF? Only in Fosters world is using Backing tracks and digital dancers in a music competition considered acceptable. I know in Season 3B why not have Callie be involved in a singing competition and use Auto-Tune and backing tracks as well? No wonder most "live" music sucks since people don't even have to perform in competitions. As a former band geek and pianist (not as good as Brandon supposedly is) who had many recitals, this kind of stuff just pisses me off. How do you get to Disney Hall? You *beep* cheat... That's a great message to send.

Yeah, it was the last scene.

I always enjoy reading these recaps. This woman was in foster care and adopted, so it's nice to have that perspective: http://ficdirectory.tumblr.com/post/125864225902/the-fosters-my-thoughts-on-episode
-
Yeah. He said, "I'm here. Out front. I need to talk to you." He erased it and drove away; Callie saw the Mini Cooper and looked at her phone and there were no new messages.
-
I also want to say that I don't agree with Callie in that the judge is purposely blocking her adoption. The state would have access to all files and documents involving her; they are perfectly within their rights to investigate the Callie/Brandon thing with the restraining order. Also, the judge was correct to let Robert get to know Callie as he did not knowingly abandon her and he is her biological father.
-
- Nice to see Jude REALLY act out and reveal some residual issues from being in foster care. He was being written too “perfectly,” like adoption was a cure-all band-aid for his traumatic past. - All the awards to Teri Polo. Also, Stef/Brandon is underrated. - I feel like Brooke has a vendetta against Rita. Maybe she didn’t hit Carmen on purpose, but Brooke won’t go with the truth (if that’s what happened) because she wants to get back at Rita. - If Stef and Lena do end up divorcing once the kiss is revealed, I'm out. Not here for that. - Callie’s automatic placement back at GU was probably illegal. Stef can’t just call Callie’s social worker and be like, “Well, Callie’s staying here.” It’s not her decision to make. - Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Screw Brallie! This is convincing me more and more that Callie won't ever be adopted. They'll always find some way to keep Brallie alive.

Episode description for 03x08 - Daughters (8/3): 03x09 - Idyllwild (8/10): and 03x10 - Lucky (midseason finale, 8/17): ETA what Bradley Bredweg (Co-creator/executive producer) said on Periscope about the midseason finale: I can handle a Stef/Lena separation, but not a divorce.
