  1. Yep, the twins on the show tonight are going to be on "Summer House" starting Jan 16 (on Bravo, of course). I'm guessing Stassi's Bday may be the opening episode.
  2. I think that might have been a condition of her probation, but she's off probation now, so I don't think the court would pay any attention to what she's doing now unless she gets in trouble with the law.
  3. Did anyone else notice that when Mykelti and Tony were doing their TH explaining their engagement that Mykelti wasn't wearing her engagement ring? I thought it was odd, considering the segment they were explaining and how excited she supposedly was about it, etc.
  4. I agree, it's not rocket science. I think the sister wives discussion about appropriate shower gifts was just one more way they're trying to convince viewers how their lifestyle is better than the monogamous world. They were also showing (IDK if it was intentional on their part or not) how out of touch with the world they are. You don't have to be monogamous to have common sense or be tuned into how society functions appropriately, but as they've shown us for years they're neither worldly nor are they aware of how to behave appropriately with others.
  5. Kate didn't spend a dime of her own money on the crap (much of which she should have left over from what they bought for previous parties like bowls, etc) at the party store. When they go shopping like that on the show, TLC / the production company pays. The same as on the next episode when she over-filled 3 shopping carts at Costco and spent $1300 on supplies that would take yearsss to use; TLC paid. The predictable, shallow, and disgusting Kate comes into play when she doesn't look at prices and throws package after package of the same things into her cart as if money is no object, and it isn't, because she's not spending a dime of her, or her kids', own money. I agree she thinks she's showing everyone what a good mother she is with the amount of money she's shown spending on the kids, but she's really not fooling anyone anymore. The joke is on her; viewers caught on to her games years ago. The similarities between Mommie Dearest and Kate are chilling. It's a shame the media hasn't picked up on it and pointed them out.
  6. Caleb has been out of the house and independent and working for a number of years and I'd imagine he footed the bill for the wedding, well that is, he paid for the incidentals that TLC didn't cover, and that Maddie, and/or Janelle paid for her dress.
  7. Yes, in the UK they refer to the cake portion of a cake as 'sponge' but in the US we call it simply, 'cake'. lol It's very confusing especially if they are baking a 'sponge cake'. I've no idea what the term for a 'sponge cake' would be in the UK, however. Maybe a sponge-sponge? LOL Not all bundt cakes use butter, though. Now that I'm thinking about this, I'm making myself really confused. I wonder what they call a bundt cake in the UK; do they call it a bundt sponge or just a bundt or just their normal general term, a sponge?
  8. And he wore sunglasses during the ceremony at the church. Not only was it tacky, but he looked ridiculous. I wonder what kind of nonsensical explanation they're going to come up with to explain his eyes this time. I wonder if his family actually believes his ridiculous explanations, like he's just tired. BS.
  9. I'm not too impressed with Amber's plastic surgeon's ethics. Any doc with the best interests of his patients in mind would not accept a patient like Amber who wanted to fix her depression with surgery. Until the plastic surgery craze of the past decade, plastic surgeons wouldn't even accept a patient who wanted surgery on those grounds, but I guess any reason is good enough now and doctors are more concerned with making a name for themselves, building their practices, and making money than they are concerned about the welfare of their patients. In less than 5 years, Amber's body is going to be right back where it was before the surgery (not that it was drastically changed with the surgery, anyway!) and she's still going to have the same depression and image issues she's always had. Her problem isn't her body, it's her brain.
  10. Very good question. They don't get paid anything for reruns. Reality contracts pay the participants for each episode and once it's filmed (the episodes don't have to air on tv, just be filmed) and they're paid, the compensation ends. Their lives must be extremely boring. Other than the wives with younger children who are in the midst of managing multi-child care responsibilities, what in the heck do Meri and Janelle do? The lack of obligations and responsibilities are apparent in their appearances. I think Meri is looking better now because she's excited about her latest MLM clothing involvement, but when she loses interest in that, I think she'll be right back to looking like her same tired, frumpy, skin-tight clothed self.
  11. OMG, Meri actually looks good - her clothes aren't skin tight; they look like they fit and she's comfortable in them. I guess there's a first time for anything!
  12. It's Dawn's job to be the intermediary between the two parties. Cate and Tyler should be going thru her to arrange visits and everything else. As the paperwork that was shown this episode said, even photos of Carly first go to the agency which then passes them on to Cate/Tyler. I think in the beginning, B&T may have been a bit too lax in allowing much more direct contact between them and it bit them in the butt and they now feel they need to strictly follow the adoption agreement to protect their daughter and themselves. They learned the hard way that Tyler (and MTV) will push the boundaries and they had to choose to back off. With Tyler's attitude and lack of respect for their wishes and privacy and with MTV pushing C & T on camera to talk about Carly, I applaud B & T for taking the steps to protect the privacy and safety of their daughter.
  13. Terry has time for everything as long as it involves him being in front of a tv camera.
  14. I've always been disgusted with the way Dr. Drew is involved in the show, pretending to know what's going on in their lives and being up to date on everything and when Cate called him to get advice on going to rehab my antenna went up. I knew it was all MTV driven and his involvement was minimal, but it wasn't necessary to involve him at all, imo. But, it's tv... smh Then, Matt and Amber are on his show to refute the ugly "rumors", cough-cough. I get it that the network likes the crossovers with their shows and "talent", but the whole thing w/Drew is feeling a bit too incestuous to me. He's not helping these now-adults by being a party to their manipulations of the truth and by helping them script their storylines and often lies; he's enabling them and the unhealthy choices they're making and the mostly unproductive and meaningless lives they're leading. I waver between thinking Drew is legit and that he thinks he's actually helping them by giving them advice w/o knowing the truth and knowing their motives vs that he's aware of what they and the network are using him for and it doesn't bother him.
  15. I think Tre is questioning the girls about their feelings re: Joe because the producers told her to. They're hoping to get the raw emotions from the girls because that's what sells and of course Tre is more than happy to exploit them to keep the paychecks rolling in. IMO, it's disgusting what she's doing to them. My heart breaks for the girls who are being exploited because their mother is an insensitive fame whore, felon, who is putting everything and everyone lower on her list of priorities where staying on tv is #1. As so many have said previously, I hope the girls are in therapy (although I have doubts that is the case). They didn't ask for any of this yet they're the ones who are going to be the hardest and longest impacted by their parents' actions.
  16. You can add me to the list of people who aren't buying what Teresa is selling. I don't think she learned a damn thing from "camp", and I don't think she and Melissa are really buddy-buddy. And I have no sympathy for her or Joe. I actually agree with most of what Jacqueline is saying. But she's saying it in such a psycho way that she's not getting her real point across. Melissa has done a 180, probably to stay on the show and please her husband. I wouldn't be surprised if Melissa has a voo-doo doll with Teresa's picture on it that she's poking with a needle when no one is looking. Now that she's crawled up Teresa's ass, she is getting a better edit from producers, and a huge pass from many viewers on things she would have been skewered for before. Siggy and Dolores are just filler for the show. I mostly ignore and fast forward past them. And from what I can tell, the only thing Kathy and Rosie did wrong was to state that Teresa is indeed a criminal who deserved to go to jail. Which is totally true. But Teresa doesn't want anyone around who doesn't see her as a victim. Kellyee, I completely agree with everything you said!
  17. Ryan may have suffered some head injuries during the car wreck, but this isn't the first time he's had the wide eyed, non-blinking affect (this was the most drastic that I remember, though) and iirc, he's looked similar to this back a few seasons, at least. This affect is nothing new, but what is new is the camera staying directly on him for so long. (Have they decided to stop hiding this problem of his like they've done with Cate, Leah, Janelle?) IMO, he's definitely "on" something - which may help explain him not engaging with Bentley, missing his games, not working, etc. From what Larry said last nite, it sounded to me that he's had it with Jen enabling and covering for Ryan. I'd probably feel the same way if I had to watch my adult son be coddled and always feeling like I came in last place in the family. What a mess...
  18. Gawd, everytime I see Amber I have to LOL and SMH. I can't imagine what a boring and miserably absurd life she's living. She gets up (at noon?), works for however long perfecting her makeup complete with fake eyelashes, perfect drawn-on brows, blended but sometimes off-color foundation and blush, gets dressed in clothes she thinks mature, successful people wear hoping to fit in with her newfound upscale neighborhood residents, only to sit on her fake? leather couch all day and answer questions posed to her by MTV producers. OH, I forgot - she sometimes gets up to mop up the pee on the floor from one of their many untrained dogs. What an empty, boring, wasteful life.
  19. YEP As if Vicki's part in Brook's cancer scam wasn't bad enough, she stoops even lower by trying to profit from the publicity of the show and her reputation by setting up this "charity" only to use it to SELL insurance. And, she sees nothing wrong with this. smh The charity, fine. Linking it to selling insurance policies - to cancer patients, of all people, is deplorable and disgusting. Vicki went on and on again last night telling her partners about being there for Brook's treatments with her son pointing out she didn't actually witness anything and she still tried to gloss over the truth. In the past I've wavered in deciding whether she's awfully dumb and she can't understand how what she's saying is contrary to what actually happened with Brook's appointments or she's been deceitful. With this charity/insurance policy business she's setting up, I'm leaning towards her being incredibly deceitful. I wonder what Heather and Shannon and her other cohorts think about this.
  20. I most definitely agree. There's something 'off' about the way she interacts with people, whether it's her parents, her daughter, boyfriends, other teen moms, producers... her behavior is the same. I think she's terribly unhappy and lonely and covers it with the way she pretends to be aloof and unbothered when it's apparent it drives her crazy (which doesn't take much!) and then she lashes out.
  21. I think Maci is of the mindset that you have to have lots of s.p.a.c.e. to live well, thus with each additional child she thinks she needs a bigger house. sigh Maybe she likes not seeing or hearing the people she lives with? As for them moving when they're "living on very limited funding"? Their funding is definitely not as limited as the majority of the households in this country and definitely not limited when compared to normal teen moms; the MTV Teen Mom girls make at least $250K each season.
  22. I agree with the post except the part about Z in regard to Paulie. The show edited it this way but it wasn't this way. "What we have seen, throughout the season, is Zak's tendency to turn herself into a stoned-looking sex kitten in Paulie's presence. We've seen her actually sway and almost stumble as she walks toward him while looking up through her long lashes. It's incredibly sad to me to see a beautiful girl like Zakiyeh so eager to drape herself all over a stupid, jerk like Paulie, but it's clearly her own choice and not something Paulie is forcing on her against her will. I just have to face that and so does Davonne. I agree with the post except the part about Z in regard to Paulie. The show edited it this way but it wasn't this way." ******* I'm missing something I think. Which way did they edit the show? Are you saying that Z didn't follow Paulie all over the house, drape herself all over him, etc? I watched the live-feeds and saw her doing just that, repeatedly, even after he scolded her or passive-aggressively responded to her. I think Paulie and Z are both at fault as far as their unhealthy 'relationship' is concerned. It's unhealthy for both of them. But, I especially feel for Z and hope she can take the lessons this summer hopefully taught her and find some self-esteem and strength. She's beautiful, seems to have a good heart, and goals and I hope she discovers she doesn't need any man to validate her worth.
  23. Thinking about the stark differences in parenting and environment between the 2 daughters Cate and Tyler have produced, it would be interesting (and probably heartbreaking) to see the differences in personalities and behaviors between Nova and Carly in 8-10 years.
  24. You're right, Vicki didn't just cheat with Donn when she was married to Brianna and Michael's father, she cheated ON Donn while they were married - with Brooks. Neither Vicki nor Donn were faithful to each other. I think Brianna loves Donn because he was a father to her, raised her, etc. And, she knows what went on in her mom's marriage and knows the fault doesn't lie with just one person. IDK, but maybe she is like many children of divorced parents who simply want their parents back together. That aside, do we have to see Brianna on every single episode. I get it, she signed a contract with Bravo, but whyyyyyy?
