  1. I love both movies, and can quote almost all of Major League (to the chagrin of all that know me).
  2. Amy Adams is a 5 time Oscar nominated actress, that is similar looking to Laura Pierson, on the race. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0010736/?ref_=nv_sr_1
  3. I guess I'm evil, or just sleep deprived when I watched this episode, but I kind of enjoyed Matt Mira totally trolling the episode with CHAPPiE and breadsticks. Although following him on Twitter, he was already mentioning getting the word out on CHAPPiE, so I was expecting a bunch on that.
  4. This podcast just came up in my rotation today. I usually listen to them at work. Like you, I have yet to make it through the intro. Hopefully I'll listen to it later, in a setting when I can deal with it. I always found Farts and Procreation episodes to be highly entertaining in their weird, almost anti-comedy.
  5. That might be my favorite episode. Carl Sjunior's lumber yard with Patrices Pieces had my sides hurting with laughter. I also loved when he would come on with Harris' Foam Corner. Just those throwaway bad jokes, and everybody's reaction to them, were always a highlight.
  6. To me, he will always be the voodoo practicing, power-hitting right fielder for the Cleveland Indians, Pedro Cerano. Just don't steal Jobu's rum.
  7. I loved the moment when Backstrom just physically collapsed when he heard the two girls were alive. It was as if all the power he was using to keep going and find them was used up, and his body just shut down. Very powerful. The supporting characters are also what I love about this show. You can never go wrong with Dennis Haysbert. I don't know if this show will last, but I am enjoying the episodes that we have been given.
  8. I am totally surprised at the divide over the Johnny Karate episode. Count me as one that absolutely loved every minute of it.
  9. I recognized that kid from Shameless, where he plays Chuckie. He's the same way on that show.
  10. I went to the Benson Movie Interruption of Twighlight: Breaking Dawn Part 1 this Saturday at the Castro Theatre as part of S.F. Sketchfest. Chris Hardwick was one of the interrupters, and probably had the most consistently funny lines during the film. It seemed, though that he and Arden Myrin were the ones, along with Doug that spoke the most. Sadly, due to prior commitments, I wasn't able to see Part 2 on Sunday. It makes sitting through those films actually enjoyable.
  11. I love this show, and I hope this show's forums will pick up for season 2. I can't get enough of the opening credits and song. Love the sounds of the Hurdy Gurdy, and knew they would have good music with Bear McCreary at the helm. I think my favorite little moment from season 1, is when Anne is yelling at Rackham while he's in the bath, and they both say, "Fuck you, Jack" at the same time.
  12. I think between the Thug Life/Hug Life reactions, and his Price Is Right eBay run, Paul Scheer is getting up there for me. I just like how much fun he has when he's on.
  13. It's funny, because "Mark Wahlberg" originated on Sklarbro County as a character by Dan Van Kirk. They even upload his Wahlberg Solution's on their feed. Speaking of Doug's open door policy, what did you think of the 8 Crazy Guests of Hanukkah with all characters by Van Kirk, PFT, and James Adomian. I think Adomian's Jesse Ventura is one of my favorite impressions.
  14. What does everybody think of the new set? I'm sure once I get used to it, it won't even be noticeable.
  15. The podcasts I listen to, that are represented by @Midnight panelists include: Doug Benson - Doug Loves Movies, Doug Loves Minis, Dining with Doug and Karen: I guess this is why Doug is one of my favorite guests, because I listen to all his podcasts. I especially enjoy Doug Loves Movies because of all the games; especially the Leonard Maltin Game and Last Man Stanton. Kumail Nanjiani - The Indoor Kids, The X-Files Files: Kumail does a video game podcast with his wife, Emily V. Gordon, that I get a kick out of. He also has a podcast, where he is going through the entire run of The X-Files, where each week he discusses two episodes with a guest. Paul Scheer - How Did This Get Made?: A hilarious every other week podcast that he does with his wife, June Diane Raphael, and Jason Mantzoukas where they watch a bad movie, and try to disect all the craziness therein. The Sklar Brothers - Sklarbro Country/County: Sue me, but I like the Sklar Brothers. Their bi-weekly podcast consists of Country, where they interview a guest that they get into more in depth with, and also discuss stories that are loosly more sports specific. I happen to like County more, where they are joined by a guest, and co-host Dan Van Kirk, who brings in three crazy stories that are riffed on, and the vibe feels more loose. Scott Aukerman - Comedy Bang Bang: To me, this is the funniest podcast out there. Scott usually has a guest, and after a segment, brings in another person that is doing a character. Frequent @Midnight regular, Paul F. Thompkins has probably been on the most while hardley ever appearing as himself. Chris Hardwick - The Nerdist: Then there is the host's own podcast, that he does with semi-frequent @Midnight guest, Jonah Ray, and writer, Matt Mira. Matt has been on the podcast infrequently, because of his writing commitments. Speaking of Matt Mira, I also love the podcast that he does with Matt Gourley called James Bonding, where they discuss each James Bond film. They were doing it weekly, until @Midnight started, and Mira was busy writing, while Gourley started doing those Volkswagen commercials.
  16. I also loved seeing Kevin Heffernan, from Broken Lizard, as the obnoxious diner patron. There was also Dr. Venture himself, James Urbaniak as the guy helping Leet Brannis. I just don't know how he got out of Roxxon before it imploded, after he was temporarily blinded by Agent Carter.
  17. I guess we're all just big weirdos in my house, because this is one of the two teams, along with the surfers, that we want to win. I kind of like them playing up their heel persona.
  18. Jen Kirkman is one of the best narrators. I also love the one she did before Drunk History was on Comedy Central, about Lincoln and Frederick Douglas with Will Ferrell and Don Cheadle. I liked during the Mary Dyer story, when they go to hang her a second time, there's just a car going by in the background.
  19. The dog part was great. I lost it during the sneezing fit of the KKK story.
  20. Did you see the picture they put up on the show from the early 2000's before he stopped drinking? I know from his podcast that he calls that person "Peter Hardwick," his fat, alcoholic brother. I didn't realize how much better he looks now.
  21. As someone that has the complete G.I. Joe series case set, this was a great episode for me. The only thing I wish, is with having a couple of the original voice actors, they should have got someone to do a closer version of Cobra Commander. Maybe they could have found Dr. Smoov, who did some redubbing of Transformers and G.I. Joe. He does a great Cobra Commander/Starscream.
