  1. If there is a large, unmarked bright blue, van/ice cream truck close by, someone is wearing a wire.
  2. I was impressed with Jo and Vee. They were really great in that situation. I love that they were thinking of Isaac's whole health. It seemed they were vested in keeping Isaac's relationship with Javi stable, and just letting Isaac know that probably comforted him. Why couldn't Kail be honest with Javi? Clearly the relationship was troubled before he shipped off. Though she wants to live her life as she did during the 6 months he was away, she does need to deal with wrapping things up with that situation prior to moving forward and doing whatever she wants to do. It's being responsible. Agree about the word "co-parenting!" How many times did they say that. Must have been at least 15! Stop!!! Leah, why would you ask Addie if she wanted to move back to the old house when that isn't an option? And why would you wear a shirt that says rotten to the core anyway? What am I not getting? What Jace said to Barb sounded like it came from some suggestive conversations from Jenelle and Dave. He seemed like he was doubting Meme wanted him. So sad. Just let him be. Maybe in high school he can come live with you for a bit, but let him develop like a normal kid without the inner conflict of who wants him and where he should or shouldn't be living.
  3. How does Bailey go from being a tough cookie with the residents to being a scared rabbit in prison?
  4. Did the ER doc say BUN of 6 and creatinine of 130?
  5. I really enjoyed Chay's story/ transitioning to become Lola. I was very inspired by her happiness being her true self. My favorite moment (or one of them) was when Dr. Nowzaradan said, upon entering the exam room, You look pretty. It was such a lovely moment!
  6. I just saw this episode last night. It was inspiring to me because you could easily identify with her. Amber is definitely beautiful inside and out. I think her family was also wonderful. Her brothers were so supportive. I mean, they moved to support her. Her mom struck me as not really knowing how to help, and seemed almost elated when she was able to have the surgery. I liked how she was motivated and determined. She walked when it was probably really hard to do so. When she went to the therapist, it seemed like the therapist hit the nail on the head. We all make decisions in the past we regret and need to forgive ourselves for them. I do get a kick out of the fact that the therapists, nutritionists, etc. always seem to be super healthy and attractive people :) The doctors must be able to tell who is really on the program of diet and exercise. He asked her to lose less than he had asked the others (though this is only my third show), it seemed like her process was expedited. But, could be the editing. Hope they have a where are they now one for Amber.
  7. Agree! Just watched this and there was a very weird vibe from Dave during that conversation, very controlling and scary. Also thought that his mother was very controlling by having Kaiser call her grandma with no blood relationship. Pick another name, there's plenty out there. Felt like we really got a glimpse of their real personalities. I did like how well Kail and Jo got along, Loved Chelsea and how she and Kail got along so well. It was so sweet how they bought Leah a present. Leah's chaos didn't change much from what we see when filming. The one thing I was surprised about was Nathan. I actually didn't despise him and thought he was sweet with Kaiser. I'm bummed he ignored Jace, that's for sure, but felt bad that he didn't get to see Kaiser in 4 months.
  8. @leighroda, so sorry about your kitty. I finally watched the reunion in its entirety. I had a flashback to the high school, wait, nope middle school lunch room. (honestly my 13 year old said it reminded him of a fight that started between two girls in 7th grade) Farrah stirring the pot, Amber reacting irrationally and Matt doing what he "thinks" he is suppose to do to stand up for his meal ticket. The thought bubble is almost obvious above his head. Then the mean girls at table 2 decide to take a stand and "walk off" which really accomplished nothing. (and they came back!) I hate that they so harshly judge each other. They all made the same choice to be on this show. I feel so sorry for Michael. He didn't deserve that. Though Farrah certainly knows how to create drama and stand back and watch the fall out!
  9. I just couldn't get over a few things. Why didn't MTV at least blur out Ryan's girlfriend's underwear? Honestly, that was tragic. Why was Deb's Dr boyfriend trying to practically lock/grind hips with Farrah so that her upper body was leaning away? That just creeped me out. He was quite busy pontificating. He should know better. He's a freaking doctor... Again, the photo shoot was such a farce. The fact that Matt thought it was so "cool" to give the middle finger and Amber said, That's right in front of my face. AND that she even said (in the garage chair) that she was getting jealous because he wasn't letting her talk. It kind of makes me thing she knows what's up with him. It is killing me that his past is being explained away and laughed off. I feel like this is going to bite Amber in the butt at some point. Lastly, really. He couldn't wait to have the photo shoot until after her 'surgery'. Amber, any person who cared for you would have pushed it off. It shouldn't be about him.
  10. Did that fight seem out of character for Jamie? He seems like the most level headed, not quick tempered. Also, another love interest for Eddit might have taken some of the heat off of him and bought him some time. He doesn't seem that smitten with Eddie that he would start a fight.
  11. Few things.. Poor Christina. Her child was sick and hospitalized and she is worried about picking up Leah. It would have been kind for Amber to drop her off for Christina, rather than the extra stop for Christina. Also, definitely respectful of Gary and his parenting. Clearly there was some sort of moratorium on Leah going over to Amber's while Christopher was there. Also, how funny. Christopher met someone and left? Got his TV time and trip to LA. arrgh. Why doesn't Amber see this? She protests so darn much that the truth slips through not noticed. Lastly, Amber can have all the mommy makeover's she wants but unless she fixes what is really going on with her, changes her lifestyle, she's going to gain that weight back again. Deborah has to just walk away and stop being controlled and manipulated by Farrah and her money. If she had her own source of income and her own life, she wouldn't be held hostage. Both women clearly have something going on and it isn't a healthy situation for either of them. Ryan's girlfriend seems lovely. Very stable. He still seems to act like he has a head injury though. Something is up. I agree that Maci's dress was beautiful but it did need a little adjustment on the top. The bottom was hemmed beautifully though. Not much to say about Cate and Tyler for now. I'm glad he was at least thinking about spending the money. Do I remember correctly that he and Butch were installing the floors in one of the earlier episodes?
  12. Honestly, the Deborah/Farrah relationship is so abusive it's hard to continue watching. Something just isn't right, whatever it is. It could be anything, alcohol abuse, medication (abuse or lack of) or just plain mental illness. The point is that whatever it is, it's being exploited. That's sad. I've also noticed (after visiting the FB page) that there is a lot of judgement and lack of knowledge around true, diagnosed depression. That's upsetting also.
  13. It does seem like priests should have an out if someone is in danger, but I'm not Catholic either...
  14. Mother of God. He writes as if he were speaking, with no concern for word conservation or grammar. The real money would be a companion reader, that told the real story behind the "real story"
  15. I just bought a pair of Tretorn shoes (white with pink trim) and they are still awesome! Many 40-50 somethings ask me where I got them.
  16. ITA. The way he shut it down was concerning and does not bode well. I still wonder about Matt's former addiction and sobriety. Do we really know if Christopher is clean?
  17. First time poster, long time lurker. Doesn't Amber notice that her segments are now primarily focused on Matt? I honestly just want him to shut up. I've started to fast forward because all he talks about is how he was addicted, he was a bad father, honestly, does anyone care? I think she's being lazy and it's easier for her to have him deal with being on camera. Additionally, Christopher seems to just want to be on TV. Clearly. Seems quite comfy and almost saying, "my "dad" owes me this!" Not into the 12 step program? I loved the immediate rationalizations from Matt and the initial protest from Amber that was squelched. This will end badly, no doubt. As far as C and T and the adoption goes, I can imagine that once Carly starts to see them on TV and connect the dots, that's when the trouble will start. I'm not sure how I feel about open adoptions, I think it is dependent on the participants. I agree that seeing the drug use and criminality in that family on TV can't be a good thing for her.
  18. Agree, and shout out to Jamie for his comment about pit bulls.
  19. It was amazing that the child was able to find a pen, find a cord, and with significant bleeding, he was able to intricately tie off his leg.
  20. Was it me, or was this very similar to Silence of the Lambs?
