S14.E7: What the Chuck?
RealHousewife replied to ZettaK's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
I know quite a few women who’ve had kids 40+, but I don’t think I personally know someone who had a baby in her late 40s, although I know it happens. @Keywestclubkid I hear you too. I watched a show where the character was having a baby, and she was clearly at least in her 50s to me. I looked up the actress’ age, and she was indeed a woman of a particular age, and the storyline wasn’t even that she was having this surprise or miracle baby. I am open to having kids older myself, but at a certain point it is not practical. As much as I don’t like the messaging that only super young woman can have kids, (not true and frankly misogynistic, as men are only shamed when they’re elderly), I don’t love Hollywood portraying having kids way older as something easily achievable. -

I don't blame you, but that would be low even for Bravo standards. With the Guidice and Girardi scandals, it's tricky to tell just how involved the wives were. Jen is a different beast. -
^ She is gorgeous! It's a pet peeve of mine when people act like women are infertile as soon as they're 30 or 35. I absolutely getting having kids into your 40s, but I don't love the idea of Paul being a dad again at 62. I hope he takes excellent care of himself, has great genes, and lives a very long life. It's still pretty risky though.

S14.E7: What the Chuck?

She also tells p***y jokes and thinks it's okay to have dogs at the dinner table. "Be a lesbian" was the funniest line in the whole episode. I know being gay isn't a choice, and I'm sure Garcelle does too. But the blunt delivery had me lol. -

I wonder if Kyle has double standards because she sees PK as a brother, but she thinks all women must find Mauricio super dreamy. -

Sunny Hostin: The Former Federal Prosecutor With the Facts!
RealHousewife replied to GHScorpiosRule's topic in The View
She's also night and day from Sunny. Sunny is a hardworking, intelligent, self-made woman. Erika Jayne was living off royalty off the backs of orphans and widows and to this day hasn't showed compassion for them. -

Enrollment fees when you're not even sure if you are going to be a return customer. I think it's lame to charge a lot of money in addition to the cost of a class for activities that people might just want to drop in to occasionally. -

That's strange because the older I get, the more I want to be in outdoor lighting! Fluorescent lighting specifically does nothing for me, and it's hard to avoid. -

To be clear, I have compassion for everything Kyle has and does go through with Kim, and I do believe her about the house, as well as Kyle and Mauricio being supportive of Kim. It's her double standards I can't stand. It's Kyle being all indignant about what you do and do not talk about on the show that I don't care for. She has one set of rules for herself, and another set for everyone else. Kim's troubles were not glaring in season one, but they were the following seasons. It wasn't fair for the women to have to pretend otherwise imo. Kyle shows the same double standards many years later when it comes to the relationship gossip. She pushed the Brandi and Denise story and for Denise to "be honest," but then flips out about how wrong it is for people to ask her about her and Morgan. It was clear Denise was very uncomfortable and wanted the women to drop it. On the other hand, Kyle's storylines were literally her troubled marriage and whatever kind of relationship she had with Morgan.- 136 replies

Kyle Richards: Pantene Poster Girl
RealHousewife replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Kyle had perfectly fine everything, but I guess the pressure in Hollywood is crazy. I think she did have good work done though. Her nose jobs made her more photogenic, but what if something went really wrong? She was so naturally pretty to begin with. -

Mine too! Salt Lake really is consistently good and has been from day 1. -

lol! I noticed that too. I was going to say, at least the Salt Lake women are dress tastefully. I see nothing wrong with showing some cleavage, but sometimes the reunions are like this massive display of boobies. -
S14.E6: Venom in the Viper Room
RealHousewife replied to ZettaK's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
The audience has always been mixed on Kyle, but it's amazing how much the other women let her slide with. I guess it must be her status as an OG? Brandi, Eileen, and Rinna all got a ton of shit from both Richards sisters for reacting to stuff Kim said and did with the cameras rolling! But Kyle was the one who outed Kim as an addict then has the nerve to act like she's always been a protector and how dare anyone have questions about Kim's sobriety. Kyle pushed the Denise and Brandi storyline right along with Rinna, but Denise held more of a grudge with Erika. I understand how wrong the threesome comment was, but Erika was really not the one targeting Denise that season. Speaking of Erika, she can have a really short fuse, but she keeps her composure with Kyle no matter how below the belt she goes. I remember when she asked Erika "do you not have good friends?" I thought it was a low blow, but Erika let it pass. Kyle has been extremely nasty and aggressive towards both Sutton and Dorit for several years, but both women forgive and forgive season after season. Manhandling Sutton, heartless over her miscarriage, screaming bloody murder if Dorit shows up late due to glam, just ridiculous behavior. Then she has the nerve to tell Dorit that she has to watch how she speaks to Kyle. I'm glad Dorit is off the Kyle is a good friend train. It's so rich she says Dorit is grasping for reasons to be angry with Kyle, when Kyle's reasons for ghosting Dorit are making the favorite Richards sister joke and not jumping in to defend Teddi. I used to really admire Kyle's family dynamics and still think she is a good mom. But I have always thought her personality type must be exhausting. She is both very quick to cry like a child and also quick to scream and be nasty. Normally it's at least one or the other. I know people go through hard times and hormones can be at play for a lot of the women in the cast, but it's been 14 years of Kyle being this like poster child of the worst PMS.- 136 replies

S14.E6: Venom in the Viper Room
RealHousewife replied to ZettaK's topic in The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills
Ditto. Sutton can be snarky and insensitive (who isn't), but I don't see her as a bully at all. She's actually one of the few longtime cast members who isn't a bully. The Girardi stuff was confusing at best and disgustingly shady at worst. So what if Sutton had questions? Was she supposed to turn a blind eye to it all? Kyle could be really nasty to Sutton, hardly just sitting there brokenhearted and being attacked. I do think Dorit is one of the nicer women who's a longterm cast member, but she can be hard on both Sutton and Garcelle and then acts like she has no idea why either would have an issue with her. I think Dorit genuinely has problems in her marriage and has genuinely had it with Kyle, but I also think she is trying hard to keep her Housewives check. We all know she likes an OTT lifestyle and isn't wealthy like most of the others. I don't see any other reason why she would bother trying to mend a friendship with Kyle. The way Kyle loses her temper and screams at her repeatedly over the years, enough is enough. I think she knows damn well she'd lose her shit if there was any texting going on between Dorit and Mauricio (no matter how innocent), and that's why she got triggered tonight.- 136 replies

Do You Consider Yourself A Feminist?: Why Or Why Not?
RealHousewife replied to RealHousewife's topic in Everything Else
This reminds me so much of a conversation I recently had. This man claims to love women, but he is more defensive of men, brags about men, idolizes men, says men get all the blame but don't get credit for all they've contributed in this world, that women would fall apart within weeks without any men. He also says men get the short end of the stick when it comes to how they're valued, custody of their kids, everything. He has daughters, so you would think he'd feel more defensive of women and girls, but nope. The way he talks unless you're related to him, all he wants from a woman is devotion, service and sex. -
Pet Peeves: Aka Things That Make You Go "Gah!"

I believe according to the book, people show love the way they like to receive it. So if your primary love language is gifts, you like to give and receive gifts. -
Pet Peeves: Aka Things That Make You Go "Gah!"
RealHousewife replied to Betweenyouandme's topic in Everything Else
A few dating & guy friend pet peeves . . . Men being confusing about their intentions and/or not respecting my boundaries. If I tell you I'm not interested in being more than friends, respect that. When you are too pushy, we are no longer friends. I do not owe you anything. Men who frequently talk about how hot other women are and think you're supposed to be so flattered if they want to go out with you. Negging, which seems to be a common pattern with men who fit into the above categories. Backhanded compliments do not work on me. Making me feel inferior to other women will not work on me. It breaks my heart that it does with some women. -
Yeah I remember all the above. I agree with you that Rinna often gets all the blame, but she's not always in the wrong. I believe Kyle about the house as well. I hear you and get what your point as well. Kim can be mean when she is defensive, but she doesn't give "mean girl" vibes. Like Kyle hating Brandi and mocking her at first sight, I don't think Kim would do that, at least not sober. I think I'd get along with Kim IRL because I am not an intrusive person and get along with kooky people. I get the impression that if you are a true friend to Kim, she is kind. Kyle does seem to have the most envy among her sisters, and it's ridiculous when she has so much going for her.

RHoNJ in the Media: Paparazzi Whore!
RealHousewife replied to Lisin's topic in The Real Housewives Of New Jersey
I'm not surprised by this. Jen has been aggressive and mean multiple times towards Melissa, Marge, Danielle, etc. She can be entertaining, but I have never found her likable. She also needs to stop bragging about her husband being a doctor. So what? -
Yeah I don't know which Richards sister is nicer, but Kim can definitely be mean too. We still don't know if poor Harry ever did anything, but people speculate some horrific stuff about him thanks to Kim. She more or less attacked the beautiful Eileen Davidson's looks. In all her years on the show, Kyle has never said anything mean about someone's face or hair. The closest was calling Denise a ragamuffin, but that was regarding her style. Speaking of Denise, Kim participated with the storyline of Brandi and Denise. I cut Kim some slack for things like Game Night because of her issues, but she really isn't a walk in the park. The main difference I see with the sisters is I do get the impression that if you leave Kim alone (don't probe about her addictions), she will leave you alone. Kyle on the other hand can get mean with zero provocation. In any case, I wish Kim health and happiness. It makes me sad that she is still struggling.

S18.E12: The Elephant in the Room

I've literally thought that watching the show! Tamra is, Tamra, and there is a lot about Ryan that is sus. Jenn and Eddie on the other hand both see to be kindhearted people. I've thought Tamra must be nicer off camera for Eddie to be with her for so long.
