On an Island of One: Unpopular Opinions of Survivor
Lamima replied to Donny Ketchum's topic in Survivor
And Will, during the convo with Ken that went south, was saying in his talking head that he couldn't stand to talk with Ken or some such. -
This. My dad died from lung cancer in 2001. He was 54 and working full time. Living a normal life when he started having back pain that led to an MRI. On Dec 19th he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, Dec 26th he was admitted to hospital and Dec 31st he passed away. Whirlwind of a time that was.

Now lets get rid of Bret...and Ken. Sunday's hair was bad, but did you see Hannah's at the last TC? I was thinking 'girl, can't you tame that mess a bit???'.
-
Yeah, Bret would be my second guess. Would be smart to take out Jay but Ken isn't exactly playing smart. I would also be pleased if he took out Bret the way Hannah did Sunday... sending the goats packing. I'd love for there to be a deserving F3 (would love Adam, Jay and Dave).
-
Same for Ken. I think Bret and Ken are who I'd be least happy with winning. I see no way Ken can win unless we have a bitter jury. His team is mostly in the game still and I'd think if he were F3 with two of Dave, Hannah or Adam combo.... one of them would win unless the jury is bitter. Ken just hasn't played the strategic game. And many of the folks seem annoyed by him...ie: Will. If he goes F3 with maybe Bret and Hannah... then maybe I would say his win wouldn't be necessarily due to a bitter jury, though I do think Hannah and even Bret 'played' harder. Anyway...I said way back when they voted out Tayls over Jay that Jay would win the whole thing. I think he will. And I haven't been a fan of the guy as a person but, dang, he deserves to win as he really really played a great game. Adam is also deserving the win. I can't believe no eyes are on him. They are focused on Dave but it's Adam they should be focused on. Dave hasn't really done much in several episodes. He's puttered out, it seems. I'll be fine with any of these six winning.... except maybe Ken and Bret. I wonder if it wILL be all millennial or all gen x for an F3. That would be a twist if they play teams next week and whichever team loses immunity goes to jury. Won't happen. And I worry about Adam being pulled to go home. I also think Ken's thing will be an eviction of someone. I bet he'd pick Jay.

They have a #6 but it has Sunday's on there too.

Could be when that hurricane came in????
-
Plus wouldn't they have to have walls up around the park to keep non-paying folks out and hosts in?
-
Yeah, sad when Kelly is the most likable.
-
Yeah, I think that's a done deal too. Though maybe she'd the Bonnie to his Clyde. But I don't think that's what he wanted. Because when, in the graveyard, she said she was waiting to be rescued and MiB assumed she meant by Teddy, but she said by William...MiB didn't seem impressed or phased by that.
-
To me William was a nobody who felt nothing. He just existed until he met Dolores who made him feel. And when he discovered that was a fraud, a scam.... he was angry and tried to grasp that for feeling by becoming brutal. But still he had trouble feeling anything. And that makes one not feel alive like you're a ghost or walking in a dream. When Dolores awakened and kicked his butt and then killed Ford and then the mob of awakened robots came towards him and shot him, the fear and/or pain he felt made him finally feel alive. And if robots can awaken, maybe there's hope for himself. I think this was the best show I have watched in a long long time. Six Feet Under, Breaking Bad, Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones good, if not better. I was worried it would be like the Lost and so far it's not. Though the Lost was fantastic the first couple seasons so there is time to jump the shark. I hope it doesn't. Maybe it should be a short sweet series like The Knick. And go out on a good note.

Maybe a dumb question but how did Delores kill Arnold?
-
yeah, I think so. It was said there was a park incident in which a guest was harmed, early on. Do you dispute that? Or just that the incident led to changes in safety measures? I don't know how but I think Logan rode off on that horse and died. Or else he'd have a story to tell and his sister wouldn't marry William nor would William run the company and have control/ownership of Westworld. Or was the early incident that led to harm of human the Delores killing Arnold bit?
-
But wasn't some stuff changed after an early park incident harmed a guest? When they realized they needed to step up safety.
-
And I think Logan rode off a cliff and died. Then William told folks he went crazy.

This. Though I also wonder if Elsie and Stubbs are dead and Félix is a host too. I wonder if Ford plans to be the last human standing with his host army. I am sure that's what he plans. Maybe Elsie and Stubbs are still alive, for now as Ford needs them, for now.

Anyone worried Adam gets pulled to go home to his mom next week? Nevermind...in that article, upthread, Probst says this about next week: but I love having Two Tribals and two votes. Thank goodness!
-
Maybe she is a Big Brother fan and wants to be the last woman standing like Nicole. But she's NO Nicole... and Nicole, even, wasn't all that (really disappointing outcome to that BB season).

My DDs are 17 and watched with me. They said 'what's with all the old people like moms and dads coming out??? I wouldn't pick that'. When Hannah's mom came running out hysterical, I said 'that's how I'd be' and it's true. I'd also give them a big look over to see if they were healthy.

I was thinking similar. How last episode and this episode seemed to be a war between Dave and Zeke with each leading a side. But it dawned on me that it's Adam and Jay who are the true threats on each side. I think Zeke and Dave were not far behind them but Adam and Jay are really really playing. I also don't get the 'Ken for the win' or 'Ken's getting a winner edit' posts. No strategy game play at all and hardly any social game and mediocre on physical game. I also agree with whoever said 'he's pretty but he ain't THAT pretty'. So I feel F3 should be Adam, Jay and Dave. But doubt it will be. Dave has gotten the best edit. I am rooting for Adam but will be fine with any of the three I mentioned.

Yeah, it's sad when Kelly is the least attention whore of the deck crew.
-
So when Bernard and Ford are talking Bernard says 'when he made us' or something like that (specifically said 'us'). So does he mean 'all us hosts' in general or does he mean 'us' as in Bernard and Ford? Maybe Ford is also a host???

Snooze fest!

I re-watched today and when they went on the floating pizza restaurant reward I noticed a couple things that I didn't catch the first viewing. One was when Hannah saw the losing team on the beach and said they should be quiet and Bret (and maybe Zeke a little) was like 'no way, we won, too bad for them'. Easy for him to say when he's been stuffing his face and wooping it up at several rewards, if not all of them. And worst of all, when they got their letters and Adam started sobbing, and he has very good reason to be so emotional, Bret was like 'whoa, settle down'. Jerk! Also, on a lighter note, it was cute that Hannah was chomping down on a big ol' piece of lettuce. That's what she went for on that table???? LOL!
