  1. IIRC, Dembe said Red’s treatments were working, and he was “getting better, not worse.” The reason Red wanted Liz to kill him was to “protect” her - by killing him publicly, he surmised there would be a photo in every major newspaper of her standing over his body with a gun in her hand, thus making her the only person to successfully take down the notorious and powerful Red Reddington. This would ostensibly transfer his power to her and keep her “safe” (I don’t think that would’ve worked, but I am but a lowly viewer, unacquainted with the rules and regs that govern the criminal underworld…) 😇
  2. Agree completely. That video she posted was outrageous, and if my spouse had posted something like that - even if said spouse was a MAFS spouse - I’d be out, too. I had a fever and was dozing off and on during this episode; did she say that she posted it as a joke, that she was trying to be funny, and that it had nothing to do with Brandon? Or did I dream that?
  3. I’m thinking he lost the principal job because they learned he was on this show. Wasn’t it a Catholic school? I’d imagine they’d not want to be associated with a reality show, especially one that has being “Married at First Sight” as its premise. I became frustrated with Meka’s insistence that he explain exactly what happened while on camera. It seemed clear to me that he didn’t want to disclose the details while being filmed, though I very well could be mistaken about the reason. I felt that she should back off until they could have that conversation in private.
  4. In the past, they’ve claimed to have something like 20,000 people apply. At the beginning of this season, I thought I heard them say they had 200 applicants. Did anyone else catch that? Seems awfully low, and I imagine females apply in far greater numbers than males...
  5. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJnYab0e0u6IapPmazJ1Zag This is the link to Stephanie Lee’s YouTube channel. I think this is who you’re referring to. She has interesting insight to this train wreck. 😉
  6. Both my husband and I were under the impression that Little T had succumbed to her wounds a few episodes ago, that she’d survived (barely) but ended up dying. Did anyone else have this impression? I’ll have to revisit the episodes in question to figure out why we both got that so wrong, but when she popped up in this week’s ep we were both flummoxed. I love her character so I was glad I got that plot point wrong, but still need to know exactly why we came to that conclusion.
  7. I could be wrong, but I thought Mia killed Lucy because Smurf paid her crew to do so. And as for Adrian, I thought he’d financed his trip by agreeing to smuggle the drugs per a scene from an earlier episode. I believe that arrangement was in place before Deran’s offer to pay, but I also think he preferred to not have to accept Deran’s money.
  8. Is it me, or does Jephte have extremely large hands? I don't know if it's just my perception since I've been watching a lot of political coverage in recent months. ;-)
  9. Producers’ hands are more visible in this season, IMO; in addition to all the over-the-top flirting, it appears the couples are given certain questions to ask, e.g. “what was your worst argument about?” I don’t recall earlier seasons having these issues - or if they did, they’re being much less subtle this time around.
  10. Holly, this is not "stalking." This is "research" with a dash of "due diligence," IMO. My husband of almost 20 years had a girlfriend just before me who stalked us; she even sent a letter to my parents claiming that my husband and I were plotting to murder them for their money (!!!). She is the reason that, to this day, our phone numbers remain unlisted and unpublished and we have no social media presence. Thanks to the internet, I've been able to keep tabs on her through the years, mostly through court records searches, but I would never disrupt her life. I consider my actions to be research similar to yours. Stalking is more nefarious, as the victim's life is disrupted by the stalker.
  11. Queen, one year has passed since your post and I’m STILL salty that they stopped airing the Aussie eps! ??
  12. I admit that I dozed off during last week's episode, so I don't recall his discomfort. Interesting! I need to listen to the podcast. I'm glad it's not just me who's wondering about this. :-)
  13. My husband and I both feel Ryan DEFINITELY has a drinking problem. I also wonder if he's struggling with his sexual orientation - he strikes me as someone who desperately wants to think of himself as a straight "manly" man, who has a wife at home waiting for him while he works two jobs to be a provider. He really bristled at the talk of being submissive ("I don't know what you guys do in the bedroom, but that's just not me!" or whatever he said), and it seemed that this was the part of the grooms/Pastor Cal discussion that upset him to the point he needed to go right back out for more drinks with his friend, rather than staying home and attending to his sick wife. There's definitely something not right with that guy, and whatever it is, Jaclyn should run, fast and far as her gypsy soul will take her. I hope he doesn't get violent.
  14. I’m envious of her ability to transform herself into so many different looks. I think she’s really beautiful, and a bit of a chameleon. If Tyra taught me anything, it’s to appreciate one’s ability to change it up like that. Smize, Shawniece, and while you’re at it, consider switching gears with Jephte. Consider just backing off from Jephte and carrying on to get as much you can for yourself from this Radical Social Experiment without trying to get blood from the Jephte turnip. I agree with the poster who opined that Jephte would be quicker to respond if Shawniece stopped trying so hard. Shawniece seems intelligent, has a good sense of humor, and has a lot to offer. Jephte might realize this if he’s no longer busy trying to fend off her attempts to get closer. And if he doesn’t come around, well, c’est la vie, and there are many fish in the sea.
