  1. "What is Aleve" still makes me laugh! I also have a soft spot for Matt, the big weirdo.
  2. Croquembouche is not that hard to make (agreed that choux pastry is easy), and the caramel adds tastiness as well as drama. I would totally do that again.
  3. Pretty sure all of my friends have pumped and dumped on occasion. Not drinking while pregnant is one thing, but for another year? Nah.
  4. I can't get the menu to open, but maybe that's just me -- anyway, it was from this place: http://river-bar.com/#Menus There was definitely also ginger beer.
  5. Totally agreed! And I would have been in the group that thought it sounded gross, except I had a cocktail last weekend whose flavors included pine, and it was kind of great.
  6. Ack, I've been offline basically all weekend, but is the game still going on?? Does it even matter if I throw in with the DL? I mean, it seems right.
  7. If Mark is saying he doppled Lady Calypso, and she was a Villager, and MMCS was the Tanner, I would be ready to move against saoirse. But I realize you have only my word that I am definitely a Villager.
  8. Way too many people are claiming Villager, right? I realize it helps nothing, but add me to that list.
  9. Tregaye got her marching orders in the very first episode- her first take of the presentation was poppin on fleek, but she got much more prepared and professional for the "real" presentation, and she caught flak for that. What happened to fun Tregaye, etc.
  10. Lady Calypso Oinky? Mark saoirse MuuMuu Lisin Jesse
  11. WGBH is for Great Blue Hill, where their receiver is.
  12. Thank you both! When no one had commented on it here, I was afraid it was just me.
  13. So, I think was this episode, and not the bread one, but did I actually hear Mary Berry say "blow me" (like, "well, blow me if he didn't come up with something delicious!") during the chat-at-the-table portion of the show? I, of course, didn't rewind and did delete the episode, but the fact that the camera stayed on Sue's deadpan face for like 5 seconds afterward makes me think it was that.
  14. I'm so obsessed with Lee Child/Jack Reacher, I was also yelling at the TV on that one. Also got Abba and couldn't come up with ZZ Top (and probably would have written "Zepplin, Led" just for something on the page). So basically if I just align myself with @Mystery Author, does that mean I also get to be friends with Lee Child???
  15. To be fair, if you're on live TV (or even live-to-tape) you're better off saying something rather than just standing there going "um, um, um...."
  16. I think it's because of the special "America in Black & Blue" which is going to be on at 9 tonight. (Edit: And is clearly a late-breaking thing addressing current events.)
  17. I think that's what it's going to be, though -- isn't Terry a boobs specialist and Paul a nose specialist?
  18. I think dine and dash is when you skip out on the bill at a restaurant, not just leaving fast.
  19. I have to say, I'm very sympathetic toward Erin, because nothing makes me madder than being criticized for something I think is a professional strength. Now, I've learned how to just eat it and not show how pissed I am, but I get it. She did the thing she was 100% confident in, after weeks of trying stuff she was less sure of, and was totally unprepared for them not to swoon.
  20. Good game, you guys! I'm glad to see the recap, because I could not figure out wtf had happened on night 3! Now I get the combination of the KGB target being protected and the ISIS vig kill.
  21. God, that Frank/Day stuff was rough. Of course the black woman has to suck up and take whatever the white man wants to dish out, so as not to be seen as the troublemaker. I basically believed his apology, which is why I now think he is douche and not something worse.
  22. Oh man, @Machiabelly. I hope you keep feeling better.
  23. It was an SNL Celebrity Jeopardy reference like I think all of the categories in that round. Here are some of the classics: https://www.buzzfeed.com/fivezaj/10-iconic-misreadings-of-the-snl-celebrity-jeopar-a8zp?utm_term=.ecpJdn3yGm#.asnDb7Rr5Z
  24. Yeah, Parmesan crackers are the only thing I wanted to bake myself after watching that episode. And maybe I will!
