Wow, another one? I thought she really liked it. I've seen the castle one for sale, the one with a roof deck (still for sale) and a couple of others. I'm sure some were sold and not on Tiny House listings. The house is the Rocky's isn't sold but they aren't living there, too many issues. Did you see it online? That's a big increase but I guess she wanted bargaining room. I think the one with the roof deck was about 20,000 more too. I think they feel the TH show would help with sales.

Yes, the couple seemed very nice and the guy was thanking people on TH facebook page for kind words. I see them one day settling into one area and using the store as just a store but for now, it's a good starter. This Saturday is a photographer, I think they are hoping to get some variety in ideas. I just hope the "reality" part doesn't take over the actual reality of living in a tiny home and they have more success's than failures. I'm sure many have stayed but there have been many who sold within a year, it's really a live change long term.

Spotlight was an excellent and true movie, but seeing the Catholic bashing (for lack of a better word) continue, to me seemed old. They have done it before, we know there are bad priests/religious and good guys. So many say SVU is getting tired, I hope they can keep new and on the edge stories coming. I also love how Carisi showed his faith amid the ruins. It was predictable but still had me tuning in...the 2wk break though, very long. I hope they don't make Olivia become an alcoholic especially with Noah. I know it's TV, but she isn't with him that often as it is with her job, to have her drinking in or out of the home would be painful to watch.

That is a good idea, My mom misses her old cape, but it was too much. Her senior facility is cold and boring, not much going on, people don't get to meet each other (5 or 6 floors) often. If she was able to have a small home with other small home owners, even a "senior rent' type of thing, would have been great, a community that would be easier to meet others. I agree, you can have a much smaller footprint and still have a regular home. You are still saying that "excess" is wrong, but you can have personal space, something most of us need. It isn't Little House on the Prarie. :) I think they should have more with seniors (no lofts!) or young couples looking for a first home, maybe a veteran needing some special functions Zack could make. Showing the good and the bad will help their movement, not hurt it. Go back in a year and see how they fared in a special show, let others know what tripped them up, why it's not the play house you wanted as a kid, it's real and can get old fast. It can also be a great money saver if you have the zoning and means to do it.

This house was for sale, 2/16/16 but it sold fast, couldn't find it when someone showed me the link. Why doesn't anyone stay??

Any thoughts to who really is the culprit? Seems like if it is the priest, kind of anti-climatic. I read Fin is back to straighten things out.

Or having your kid in the loft and having to sleep with him to make sure he is safe (that would get old fast) they have previews of new season on their facebook page, did see some on wheels but a few looked larger, so I'm intrigued.

I think many people can go tinier, most of us have too much stuff, but some of these people go way too tiny. On Tiny House Hunting, I see many tiny homes on foundations that have 2 bedroom spaces, closets, small kitchen, but still a small footprint. One had 2 lofts and the owner used the second for storage and he had one bedroom and a kid the larger loft. One thing that irks me with these shows, is that they have been on a few years, the participants must watch them, understand the plus and minus's. They all act surprised they can't hang their coats or buy in bulk. Maybe the "script" says they have to act a little surprised but it makes them seem naive or just stupid at times. I still like it, but like seeing homes that aren't portable because they are more realistic to many.

It is scary that railings seem to be not put on with many homes as they build. It doesn't seem expensive and I always picture a tired, sleepy kid rolling off or doing some stunt and hurting themselves. I have seen updates where you see railings but not in this case.

I read on another forum that they did have this house for sale within the year for 35.000. The listing they linked of course was now gone but I hope they broke even. The Mom seemed so frazzled with moving the mattress and giving her daughter space, the laundry (this isn't LHOP) and the rest of the living experience. I think they should try to do a better background interview on the people involved, because if a lot of them leave the home (and I read they have had a few "failures") they wont be promoting Tiny House living as much. I think if they do have success stories, have a year later show with some past participants. A month later is still a big adjustment period, a year, they are sinking or swimming. ; )

I just read about the couple who left the home. I was too disappointed that they rushed this job, why the short time frame? On TV they could make it fit with editing the way they do now, but some jobs are just harder. They seemed more mature, I thought they would have known what being alone was like but I agree, without computer access today, it could be too isolating with work. It was a beautiful home though, with some work, maybe viable for the future. I also read one of the first families with the young daughter Lily, sold their house. That seemed unworkable when they returned a month or two later, but sometimes I wonder why they pick the people they do. They seem so young and naive at times. There are so many people, older and younger, that would love to have a smaller home, understand the limitations, and appreciate the chance to downsize. I hope this "escape" show for me, doesn't dummy down to a real reality show in the sense they care more about the sensationalism and not the product.
