  1. GH is willing to do that for some actors, but not others, and the ones they choose aren't always the most talented. Of course, viewers' opinions vary widely on who is talented and who isn't. LOL I wrote about soaps for years and TPTB motivations were often financial but often simply dumbfounding.
  2. "Maxie really seems to be the voice of reason and truth." I call that the "Being raised by Mac effect."
  3. I've been a fan of Michael Easton since he appeared on Ally McBeal https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0510286/mediaviewer/rm4073342720/?ref_=tt_md_4 It was a throwaway "beefcake" role, but he managed not to make it a caricature. GH has a sad modern history of not knowing what to do with truly talented actors, male and female.
  4. I hope Finn doesn't die in a drunk driving accident simply because Violet will think it's her fault for not being home to take care of him. I don't care for her, but no child should bear that burden. I'm speaking as a child of an alcoholic.
  5. Natalia's mother's evolved, but not really, attitude about her relationship with Kristina will be blown to bits when Ava plays the recording of their conversation. And I cannot wait. Decades ago, I was at the GH Fan Club weekend in LA. I was going down the stairs, and JJY was coming up. It was after lunch, so I was not going to say anything. He genuinely smiled, asked where I was from, and thanked me for being there. Not all the stars were that gracious or real. Hence, my tears yesterday at his return.
  6. I admit to looking forward to Carly walking in on Drew having sex with Nina and/or Willow. It's bound to happen.
  7. It's possible, maybe not probable, but possible. It depends on How long his family lived in the building and what part of the Village. David and Karen Watluck, of Chanterelle, lived on the third floor of a brownstone just off Washington Square. Their apartment was beautifully appointed and expensive. I lived in the basement apartment with no natural light and tiles falling off the shower walls. It was cheap, even by 1990 standards.
  8. I'm guessing the filming studio acoustics aren't the best for violin solos. Ordinarily, I don't condone violence, but slapping Joss would make me feel so good! After Joss, I'd move on to TJ, who will likely always resent Kristen being the surrogate. And that is bound to affect his parenting of this child.
  9. Not on the topic of the food, but the choice of location for the judging was depressing, even without the comments about the chefs' mostly dismal showing. Very little about this season felt fun or joyful to me. I began my viewing with Season 1, Episode 1. If this were my first season, I'm not sure I'd watch another. I do love Kristen and am glad for the energy she brings.
  10. I think Alexis suggested a contract but both Kristina and Molly said they didn't need one. Sigh.
  11. Yesterday was a great reminder, not that we necessarily needed one, of what a good mother Elizabeth is. Her kids mess up but are held accountable, as a result they aren't insufferable. Yes, I'm looking at you, Carly and Joss. I agree about SB's acting being better with certain actors. Which is why I do not ever want him back in a Sonny-intense storyline. Dreaming, I'm just dreaming. I would have loved Jagger's scene with Sam to have ended with him saying," Give my regards to Dante!."
  12. Koracick being hated by Owen only made me love Koracick more. The Owen/Catherine interaction was the first time in years I have enjoyed Owen.
  13. Derek was her brother. Her being a professional ran smack into her grief over losing her brother. Grief doesn't have a timetable and can catch you by surprise, even years, sometimes decades, after. Ameilia got past her initial reaction and supported Meredith. As an example, my quicktears caught me by surprise, even though my older brother died 17 years ago next month.
  14. Season 4 will premiere on June 29 on MHz per the NYTimes.
  15. To paraphrase Meatloaf, "One outta two ain't bad," these days on GH.
  16. I wonder about Anna's special access by being invited into Valentin's house. Does she think he has hidden Pikeman secrets in his sock drawer?
  17. Finn walking with his father's cane had me in tears. ME is bringing his best to this storyline. While I understand Elizabeth's concerns, could her question, "Do you want me to stay?" have been more lukewarm?
  18. It's becoming increasingly clear that Imogen isn't as brilliant as she thinks she is. Actually, no one in this series seems very bright.
  19. I think a wonderful thing would be for the baby's first word to happen at a family gathering and for that first word to be "cheeseburger."
  20. I may be alone in this, but the mere mention of Tom Koracick made me smile. I reacted similarly to the thought of Teddy and Owen being gone.
  21. The only genuine emotion I felt this week from the cast was from Amelia talking about her fear of Derek being forgotten. My quicktears took me by surprise
  22. I think Angie would go out of her way not to implicate him. Today, I rewatched the episode in which Lenny first reappeared in Angie's life. Little did we suspect ... Kramer vs. Kramer was groundbreaking at the time. I also remember Dustin Hoffman's character using a French Press to make coffee. I don't know why I remember that detail. LOL.
  23. I agree about the suede duster; my parents' kitchen countertops were that color in 1967! LOL
  24. I never meant to imply they did not deserve punishment, but while Angie's cover-up was filled with good intentions it did more harm for Crystal than good. My heart breaks for both of them.
  25. I love the scenery. I love the cooking and the food. I strongly dislike the teams voting members off. I've decided to stop watching when the voting starts and find in the next who is gone. This will make the show more palatable to me. I get enough team stress at work.
