Shawn's kids deserve better.

"You can have her"? Fuck this family. It will be a miracle if the little Miss doesn't find legal trouble, too.

Yes! Her eyes...

Is he gonna rent Larry and the limo again or has she bled him dry?

Thank you! That's my buddy. We just finished binging ANTM Cycle 22. We'd seen it before, but we crush on Nyle Demarco.

You are bringing it tonight!

Hi bunkies! I've got Nutella, bananas, and pound cake for Fondue Friday. Watching with my trashy TV buddy. In honor of all the great prison catfished my best girl and I took a selfie and applied the appropriate filters.

And I'd have to be put under general anesthesia first. -
It's spelled several different ways: durag, do-rag, etc. And yeah, some men wear them to help them get the 360 waves in their hair. But for others they're just a fashion statement. As far as Jessica wanting him to take it off, it could be because she views it as a hat and she wants him to remove it as a sign of respect, or it could be because her family's, er, ignorant about such things and she's afraid they'll see it as a symbol of something it's not.

I don't want to grab low-hanging fruit here or body shame, but Shavel has a very...interesting...look. She looks completely different in her talking heads, photos, and videos.

Yeah, "loving parent" is one phrase that I wouldn't use when describing her. I'm not convinced that returning home and taking care of her kids would be to their benefit. -

I personally know women who do this. There's a pretty big movement backing up support on this and I learned a long time ago to stay out of that conversation. It can get ugly. -

Honestly, if she doesn't want them, then they're better off without her. Larissa apparently abandoned her kids years ago. They're being raised by someone else. The whole "bringing them to America" speech she had with Colt was probably just lip service. I grew up with a parent who didn't want me. My kids' grandfather doesn't want them. I know this is an unpopular opinion because we expect mothers to be maternal and nurturing, but in my experience sometimes the greatest act of parenting is realizing that your kids truly are better off being raised by someone else. Because the alternative is that they grow up in a household full of anger, avoidance, and emotional neglect and, again in my experience, that's even worse. If given the choice of being raised by a parent who absolutely doesn't want to be there or being raised by a grandparent/aunt/cousin/parent/adoptive parent who does then I'm choosing the latter. My primary caregiver, a person who nurtured me and took care of me, died when I was 7 and I've not had a single day of not missing her since. The person who took over after that was my biological parent, but them having a closer blood tie to me did not mean that they were the better choice. We don't know what Larissa's relationship is with her kids because they never show it onscreen. There's a chance that they're totally happy and well-adjusted kids and the current situation is okay for all involved. -

He doesn't have to be a hero in this situation. He could've just not been happy with what he was seeing and decided to leave. I'm not surprised he doesn't want to talk about it on an international TV show where his former job can hear him. I left a scary job once and no way would I have talked about the specifics on a reality show-not with my mom still living close to that business. If he had a DV record it would've shown up by now. A police report is required for the visa. The US embassy would've done one in Moldova. The application process is extensive these days. If Libby had a co-sponsor they would've seen the report which means if there was something there then they already know about it. And if there was something big then a blogger would've dug it up by now. They find all kinds of shit. IMO this is made up shit because as ignorant as these people act, the Andrei/Libby storyline is pretty thin. They can't tell me that Family Libby waited 2 years to dig into his past. They'd have been on that shit on the drive home from the airport. -
This might sound weird but this dude infuriates me more than Manson. Obviously Manson's a terror, but I believe he may be legit crazy. And then when you factor in all the drugs and shit you've got yourself a madman. But Keith is different. He's almost like an incel who figured out to work some of the systems (like constantly getting "patent pending" on his dumbass "inventions") to make him appear smarter than he is. He's not just crazy-he's also just a narcissistic jerk. I said on another board that this whole situation is like the movie THE INVITATION, The Emperor's New Clothes, and The Bachelor got drunk at a timeshare pitch and had a love child. Keith wasn't really charismatic, or good looking, but you isolate a bunch of people and make their lives revolve around one central figure and they WILL start buying into the shit.

He actually makes me ragey sometimes. In addition to the limited calories and sleep deprivation it was probably hard to leave because their lives were wrapped up in the org. Belonging to that cult was like a full-time job.

Even though I've watched all the other documentaries and specials this is still interesting. I'm curious to see what they're going to do with the other 7 episodes. But, honestly, I can't believe Bonnie stayed with Mark even after he acted skeptical of her claims. Her being in so deep but having the strength to get out is really something. I tweeted HBO and Mark saw it. (I didn't tag him or even say his full name.) He knows what he has in his wife.

Kalani & Asuelu: Cheeto Dust and Slut People

Back in my social working days we officially called it "low functioning." I can't really grasp what he's doing. Sometimes I really do think there's something getting lost in translation. But then you gotta figure that some of this stuff really should transcend culture so...yeah. -

My FAVORITE is when Rose is trying to convince the ladies that Hitler was her teacher: "You can call him whatever you want, but that's Fritz Stickelmeyer. I'm as sure of that as I am that's Eva Braun standing next to him." Maybe she was just talking about this trip. I SWEAR Angela and Mykol have referenced having sex in multiple episodes. Do we really think Angela would NOT get any? She's a bully over everything else. Ugh. I can watch some of the other bozos and take it all with a grain of salt. We have lots of behind the scenes info that contradict crap they're doing. Can't do it with Paul/Karine, though. It's sad, scary, and not entertaining. These people are making more with their appearance fees, sponsored posts, and cameos than I made in the previous 2 years combined. It's depressing. -

Right?! I never saw it as any different than women going to Thunder From Down Under. I *might* have had sympathy for her if this wasn't a typical pattern of behavior from Angela. She loses her shit over ALL the wimen. -

The older I get the more my life relates to Designing Women and The Golden Girls. I used to say that PRETTY WOMAN had a quote for every occasion. Last week, for the first time in 30 years, I finally got to use, "I screwed the debate team." -

Like totally different people. Sometimes it makes me mad, like do they really think we're that dumb? TLC has a formula, too: Foreign spouse won't work, one person has a big secret, foreigner wants to send money home, in-laws don't get along... There's a reason we play 90 Day BINGO! 😀 I do feel like truth slips through from time to time, though. Kalani looked genuinely upset, Pole's unsettling freakouts, Syngin really appeared intoxicated after his job interview, etc. -

Well, this is an episode thread so we're limited to discussing the stuff that's seen during the episode. it's a TV show. But, generally, yes. This show is well-known for limiting information when it comes to the cast's employment, as well as their living situations. At the end of the day, this is all for entertainment. It's not a documentary. Some of these people don't even live in the actual houses they're showing. Reality TV takes parts of people's lives and magnifies them and embellishes where needed. Lots of things are reenacted. Libby has been a bit-part actress for years, and many of us here have speculated on her family's desire for a spin-off. Only the drama-filled families get that far. To continue filming they need to fight and bring on the bullshit. However, their Pillow Talk appearances and off-show appearances show a completely different relationship dynamic than what we're seeing on this franchise. Now why people would go along with this for the sake of entertainment is a whole other conversation. Like Mother Aseulu. She may be full of shit and just doing this for the show (and her appearance fee) but the fact that anyone would pretend that they don't care about their grandkids still says a lot about them. Family Libby may be playing up the Ugly American persona, and they may get along fine IRL, but you couldn't pay me enough to act like that. So whether it's true or not, it's still telling. -
