Yep! That's why my mom couldn't have one with me. -

I'm not sure that the film crew is there. Looks like a stationery camera by the bed and Jovi is self filming. During covid one birthing partner is allowed in the room. I've had lots of friends give birth during this time. -

Me too. I don't care how I feel about a woman-seeing her in labor gives me instant sympathy. -

Same. People were like "I don't want the drugs, I want to FEEL my labor and for my baby to be alert." I felt every pain and my kids came out screaming. -

Jovi probably wants a Jack Daniels IV drip. Pictocin is no joke. I've had it with 2 of mine. Even with the epidural it was terrible. -

I give her the benefit of the doubt here. Pregnancy hormones can seriously fuck you up, Jovi is an alcoholic, and English is not her first language. -

Does Yara get to go out with anyone? I feel sad that production seems to be the only people she sees. -

When the doctor asked me "morphine or epidural" my reply was "What do you mean 'or'?" -

Every time I see Libby's sisters acting like they're above everyone else I want to scream, "The world has literally seen your assholes and vulvas. STFU." -

With a different defense attorney today milking their abuse story there's a strong chance that they could've gotten a lesser sentence. However, that doesn't mean they SHOULD have a lesser sentence. Their parents may have been horrible people but the boys are still murderers. And, unfortunately, they often came across as so vile that *if* the abuse was real it was always going to be taken with a grain of salt. Teenagers on Tik Tok...hoo boy. The 90s were 2 decades ago, but it wasn't the dark ages. The only thing that really pissed me off about the whole thing is the "they couldn't have been raped because men can't be raped" statement. It's as asinine now as it was then.

I feel like at least Darcey is authentically fucked up. So much of Stephanie's shtick, aside from what I'm assuming must be pills and booze, is just a put on.

Or the mean girl who cries "bully" but is really the biggest bully of them all. Watching her has given me a VERY high tolerance of the 90 Day cast, this season in particular.

Especially since reality contracts generally stipulate X numbers of hours per week. If this were a true documentary series dependent upon observation then they'd have those cameras running 24/7. It's basically an 'unscripted' dramady, though, with storylines and blocking. In cases like Whitney Thore, though, I'd totally fine her ass for the stunts she pulls. When the talent disrupts actual filming by inappropriately disrobing and throwing recording equipment then that should be comparable to walking off the job.

In the Vanity Fair article with the podcasters the screenwriter said that his parents fronted most of the money. Because he was actually meeting the guy in person it felt more real. I'm wondering about the kidnapping myself.

Mike and Natalie: Low Interest Couple, High Interest Rates
mamadrama replied to Drogo's topic in The Couples (Spoilers)
I'm starting to think there was more to the story about him spending the night with his female friend. -
I When I was a kid I had this "friend" that everyone loved-teachers, parents, etc. She made good grades, never got in trouble, etc. She was a sneaky little bitch, though. When nobody else could see or hear her she was saying and doing awful things to me. It would wind me up and I'd lose my shit and then I would get in trouble while she sat back all doe-eyed and innocent. I SWEAR she tried to kill me once, too. We were at a pool party. I was 6 and she attacked me. She pulled the floaties off my arms, wrapped her legs around me, and held me underwater. Nobody saw this. When I was finally able to fight her off she pretended to cry and I got in trouble. "She saved you, Mamadrama! Why are you acting like this?!" I got some hints of that in the Mike and Natalie story. Natalie's nuts, her YouTube videos alone are weird enough, but I'm really curious to know what HE was like offscreen. I know we made fun of her for wanting the ring back, but he dangled that invisible carrot in front of her the whole damn time. There's no excuse for some of the awful things she said, but this whole storyline made me very uncomfortable.

Okay, I snorted at this. That's funny.

Yeah, that's what I figured, too. There are surely other things she could've done or worn. Normally I'd say "as long as she liked it then whatever" but she didn't seem happy, either.

The production crew wasn't with Mike and Natalie at ALL at that point. They didn't banish the crew-Sharp sent everyone home because of the pandemic. Instead, they set up several cameras inside their house and gave the cast phones to videotape with. When we're seeing Mike and Natalie inside his house in that last scene it's because there's a stationery camera pointed towards the couch. When Natalie was crying and packing she was filming herself. Sharp did this with all their cast members back in mid-April. On Love After Lockup they actually talked about it and showed the cameras.

I loved my thrift store halter dress (and my bridesmaids dresses that were $15 at a Macy's after prom special). But then, mine actually fit me. Rebecca would've been better off in something simple that she already had. Her dress just was not flattering. Did she not try it on before she left the house? Zied, on the other hand, was adorable. I'm loving him. Outside of the kids he's possibly the most wholesome person in the franchise.

What's the topic?

The Seattle airport lounges were closed at that time. They were only letting us into the airport (not past security or to the gate but through the front door) if our flight was departing within 5 hours. This was last April, in WA, when everything was getting serious with the pandemic. I still think the real reason Natalie returned is because, off camera, she called him and said, "Look, asshole, you promised to marry me. You've fucked with me this whole time. My fucking country is shut down, I have no way of getting to or across my border from France, and you put the wrong fucking name on the hotel reservation. Neither one of us are going to get a good edit. I'm going to come back, you're going to marry me, I'm going to apply for permanent residency, we're going to smile for the cameras, and then once filming has wrapped were going to go our separate ways."
