  1. Anna is growing on me. Her comments about enjoying the children she has were a refreshing change to J'Chelle's Very Special Uterus. What a novel concept--have children, even a lot of them, but take the time to enjoy them. That's good parenting. I think moving away was very healthy for her and Josh. I bet they have a stash of Trojans in the bedside table. It sounds like they are consciously avoiding pregnancy right now.
  2. I think the color of those bridesmaids dresses offended me more than anything else about them.
  3. Aren't there laws about trying on shoes without socks/foot coverings? Or is that a store policy and subject to voluntary enforcement? I couldn't stand watching them all try on shoes in their bare feet. And I'm sorry, it's totally gross and tacky forJill to go barefoot at an indoor church wedding. She could have worn anything comfortable and it would have been fine. But barefoot? Just gross. If she had gotten married on the beach or something, bare feet would have been appropriate.
  4. GOD DAMN IT. Every single episode starts out with Jill stating "I'm engaged to Derick Dillard". I cannot deal with this any more. Someone needs to put together a super cut of every time Jill says she is engaged to Derick.
  5. Maybe in Jill's world, ivory lace=vintage looking.
  6. Could you imagine what would happen if one of the Duggars got a massage? How defrauding! Wedding gown shopping for me involved going to a bunch of stores with my BFF and then finding a dress on the sale rack at the very last one. I think shows like SYTTD have changed the way some women shop for a dress, I think.
  7. There is definitely something off about Priscilla. She seems very simple minded.
  8. YES! He looks like he is stoned, he sounds like he is stoned, and he acts like he is stoned!
  9. My understanding of etiquette is that no, you don't put registry information on an invitation. It's pretty common to include the information (on a separate piece of paper) in the envelope, although I think Miss Manners would have issue with that. I think registry information is meant to be given out when it's asked for...so if someone calls up the hostess of the shower with their RSVP and asks, the host would let the guest know if there is a registry and what store.
  10. I'm thinking she is bored out of her mind. She goes from being surrounded by 20 other people all the time, and being responsible for her buddies, to living with one person who has to actually get up at a regular time and go to work for EIGHT WHOLE HOURS (plus commute!). She doesn't have anything to do all day. Newsflash to Jill--this is why people make friends, go to school, work, volunteer, have hobbies...JB and Michelle have managed to raise the most boring humans on the planet. One cannot fill their day with bible verses alone and be a complete person. I'm not surprised she doesn't like Derick's schedule/time away. I would not be surprised if this is one thing is an "issue" for these newlyweds. Aside from the normal things a couple goes through at the beginning of a marriage/living together, they have to deal with the fact that Jill has never really watched a person keep a real life schedule and have responsibilities.
  11. I think Jill included her. I thought she said "You all". I'm sure she wouldn't have asked everyone at the table except Anna. I think Michelle's tears were more for herself. The loss of her youth, her childbearing and having no fucking clue what purpose she is going to serve in the world now that her uterus is shut down. Nobody point out to her that she still has a dozen young kids at home who need an actual mother and not a sister mom...because the sister moms are all getting out of dodge! Actually, Michelle was probably moved to tears at the idea of actually having to be the parent to those children now. She has no idea how to be one!
  12. Oh, those fucking pop ups! I hate them, too! I totally agree with what you said about Joy Anna. She couldn't read her letter to Jill and didn't want Jill to read it out loud because you know what it said in there. You know she wrote "I FEEL LIKE I'M LOSING MY REAL MOTHER!" Joy is no dummy. She knows what's up. She knows Michelle has zero interest in her.
  13. John David has a face I'd like to punch. I just can't stand him. And Michelle. She just shouldn't talk. It must be exhausting for her to maintain that voice. It's worse than nails on a chalkboard.
  14. I would guess it has more to do with security than being judgy about who can set foot in their church. My guess is that they don't want random people showing up if were a known location.
  15. How creepy that she would listen in to her dad's phone conversations with Derick and no one told Derick. That's rude!
  16. I'm certain that she and Ben were engaged long before the actual announcement took place.
  17. I think most people who read the verse would dismiss it out of hand as some made up bullshit! LOL
  18. Nutchelle. Love it! Bahahaha! We have a plethora of names for her to choose from!
  19. I don't disagree with you on that. But given their worldview (as fundamentalist types) what he saw might be good enough for him to take a chance on meeting her. Some people just don't have a good feel for the crazy...maybe it is slowly dawning on him? I wonder how annoying it is to have her family come by ALL the time. I'm sure Jill probably doesn't mind, but I would find it annoying.
  20. I don't know, maybe he just thought she was a cute girl and felt like he had an idea of what her personality was (from seeing her on the show) and thought maybe if he got to know her, there might be something there. He knew she had similar beliefs, so it's not like he had to worry about that part of the getting-to-know-you phase. All that was really left was to see if there was a spark when they finally met in person.
