Anna has on some for real F-me shoes! Go on with your bad self, Anna! Rawr! I love Jessa's dress. She looks really pretty. And I don't hate the groomsmen's suspenders. I think their bridal party looks nicely pulled together. Even Michelle's dress doesn't appear to be hideous, from what you can see of it.

I really, really hope that there will be no pregnancy announcement for a few months. I hope these two figure out some method of birth control that they are comfortable with and spend their days "getting to know each other" ;) And I hope they are unapologetic about not having a baby right away!

Ben needs to loosen up though. Soften those lips, boy! Lock lips!

I don't know how to link an individual picture from instagram, but did you see the wedding picture of her and Ben? It's a lovely picture. That kissing selfie is something! *eyebrows raised* Go get it, girl! Like someone said upthread, if that's not an FU, I don't know what is! Jessa is quickly distinguishing herself from the rest of her clan. Jilly Muffin never would have posted a picture like that! Maybe we should link her up to the movie forum thread that talks about the hottest movie scenes so she and Ben can Netflix those movies learn some moves!

I just rewatched and saw the dinner scene where they hold hands. OMFG, I loved Jessa's bitchface staredown about the hand holding. Everything in her face said she knows how stupid and arbitrary the 'no hand holding until engagement' nonsense is. They were about to pray before a meal and Michelle just about lost her shit. Pretty damn funny!

They need to stop letting Michelle narrate this stuff. Her voice is like tiny daggers in my brain.

They had to have a fucking chaperone for their proposal despite there being half a dozen crew standing around? ETA: My 9 year old son was like "OMG, they frontal hugged!" We were laughing at the scandal of it all!

I agree--the color on her is very pretty and I really like his navy suit. I still don't love the color of that bow tie, though. I guess it might look better when you see the whole bridal party? As it is, the bow tie color doesn't make any sense. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the bridal party.

Is Josiah the one who wore a bowtie/purple shirt for his graduation? (I have a hard time keeping these people straight). If so, I'm not surprised he has a look of terror in his eyes. I'm sure that ALERT scared the purple right out of him. It seems like with his colorful shirt and cheeky bow tie that he was showing too much personality/individuality. FREE JOSIAH!

From what I can see of her her dress, it looks really pretty. The color is nice! I don't love the color of Ben's bow tie but I think he looks nice, too. Michael Seewald is THIRTY NINE? I am older than him?! I would have never guessed he was only 39.

I actually kind of respect that! Everyone in that family makes such a spectacle about the first kiss at the wedding, that it is nice to see them say "eff you". Although, it is a little strange to not have any kiss at the altar.

Seriously! My DH and I got a weekend away and that was it. I guess you can take three weeks when neither of you has an actual job.

I can only speak for myself, but I'm not all that comfortable with kissing my DH in front of people, so if Derickdillard looks uncomfortable it could be because he feels awkward doing it. Especially since they have had no opportunities for practice! I can't think of anything more awkward than waiting until you are up on the altar to share your first kiss. Kissing is an art, it takes time to feel right and be comfortable. And since these guys don't watch any mainstream movies/tv, they have probably never really seen good kisses (can you imagine having only JimBoob and J'Chelle's kissing as your only point of reference? ::shudders::)

They replayed the episode where Ben, Jessa and whoever had to chaperone them went to visit Anna and Josh in DC. The thought occurred to me that they may have tried to sneak a kiss after everyone else was asleep. I wonder if they did!

I just wanted to point out that my kids and I watched a half hour of this episode, went to Target and Party City and when we came home, they still hadn't gotten actually married. This was one long ass episode!

All snark aside, I have to say, I like Derickdillard. He seems like a sweet guy.
