  1. I wanted Xander to tell Evvie to sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up. Her begging, pleading and whimpering was annoying. I was hoping they would vote her off, she of the "all women alliance" who wanted Xander off as quickly as possible and now she wants him to protect her?? I'm glad he didn't waste an idol on her. You summed up what I was thinking. All her talk of being a strong player and she just went right back to waiting for someone to tell her how to vote. I was hoping she'd come out and say "I did rock paper scissors to decide if I should smash the hourglass", it would have been icing on the cake to see their faces. He got a meal. I'm glad he had to finally play the game, that team has had it easy. Lol! All that was missing was a door slam!! I'm not sorry to see her gone, she had zero strategic skills, zero social game, zero charisma. She thought she could just smile at the camera and tell the audience how awesome she was. Sorry sweetie, this isn't your bedroom mirror, you have to actually DO something.
  2. I was watching a Murder in the Heartland marathon over the weekend, one of the cases was of a husband who gets killed and (of course) it ends up being the wife who set it all up with her lover. Anyway, both the male actor and the female actor who portrayed the couple were handsome/gorgeous, and the actor who portrayed the lover was also extremely good-looking. Then they showed the real life people and Mr. Keps says "Whoa, they were really kind to all 3 of those people!"
  3. @chessiegal, lol!! I know they are a fav of many people but I've never understood the draw. The peanut butter is sooooo sweet it makes it inedible for me. I am no candy aficionado, just my opinion. 😁 I also don't like ketchup....I know I'm weird!
  4. OMG, I was coming here to post this!!! So stupid, and yes I got the "Cinderella" vibe as well but to what point? Was he supposed to follow her? Was she hypnotized to whenever she hears that "gong" sound that she has to go to Taco Bell? And you're promoting a young girl on a beach alone with a strange guy, who leaves to walk late at night to a fast food restaurant? Huh? Makes no sense. Hate these commercials, especially since I think Reese's is overrated as a candy, never got the big deal about them. Sorry not sorry.
  5. I went shopping with my daughter earlier this summer when Covid #'s were down and restrictions were relaxed. My daughter was shopping for a dress for an upcoming wedding so we went to 3 or 4 different stores within the mall and only one store had their dressing rooms open. It was extremely frustrating. The one that had the open dressing rooms had every other one open, so instead of 5 dressing rooms there were 3 available, which was ridiculous since the rooms had floor-to-ceiling walls so you weren't going to get any 'transfer' air. I think it more had to do with having an employee come in and wipe down the rooms in between use but it was still a huge inconvenience. I mostly order on-line, I will order an item in 2 or sometimes 3 sizes and then return the one(s) that didn't fit. That return system is so much easier than having to go to the store, stand in line, waiting for the clerk to type 50,0000 things into the computer, scan your items, print your receipt, have you sign before you get your money back.
  6. I've always been a fan of Wil Wheaton's but more so ever since my friend told me to start following him on social media after a post where he discussed his depression and anxiety. The guy is brutally honest about his upbringing and mental health issues from it. He also responds to comments, good or bad.
  7. Mine too. Every scene with Jennifer Grey was the most entertainment I got out of that movie. I thought she was hysterically funny, the rest, especially Ferris' character was just 'meh' for me. My parents wouldn't allow us to watch M*A*S*H, my dad thought it was too graphic for us. LOL, my godmother took her 2 kids, me and my brother and sister and another cousin, (we were all between 9-12 years old) to see the movie Grease in the theater when it came out. She did not realize what the subject matter was thinking it would be a fun musical to entertain us. Boy was she wrong. I don't think we made it through the first half of the movie before she ushered us all out. We still tease her about that!
  8. I'm so glad to hear that I am not the only one that fights this battle!! I'm so tired of having to go through his 25 bottles of hot sauce to get my yogurt....
  9. I always wish this was true in real life. Any time I've been broken up with or had to break up with someone it was a miserable, usually tearful, quite often angry event. Never once did it go well. And never once did the person I was breaking up with "understand" or walk away without an insult or argument. Along with that, being on the receiving end was never pleasant and I can tell you that there were a couple times when I did not handle it quietly or graciously. LOL, agreed, plus I am very sensitive to foot odors so if I catch a whiff I'm going to gag. Me too, I always ask my host what their preference is. In the cold months when I have to wear snow boots or heavy shoes I will bring slippers or heavy socks with me to wear during the visit.
  10. I was prepared not to like him earlier, but the guy is slick and I find myself hoping he continues to play. On a purely superficial note: I find his whole look very attractive, his skin is just beautiful.
  11. Yep, I vaguely remembered Erika but had NO CLUE who Heather was. I don't think I will have to commit her to memory though, she won't be there long. Me as well.
  12. Totally agree, I inherited a dog when I married my husband and he inherited my 3 cats. He'll even tell you that he much prefers to be a cat owner than a dog owner, and we both love the dog, but he's way more work. Plus our cats are fine when we go away for the weekend, the dog has to come with us or be boarded which costs $$$$. We've both agreed that when Bodhi crosses the rainbow bridge he will be our last one. :( At some point when my oldest daughter was young she started to beg for a dog, we'd only ever had cats but her best friend got a Lab puppy so she wanted one. One hot summer day she came home from her buddy's house and announced that she no longer wanted a dog. Why? Because she'd just help her friend clean up the dog poop in the back yard. My husband owns a company that specializes in one particular thing. Since COVID started he has been very busy which he thinks is because people are home more so they are using the appliance that he works on more. That and they don't have to take time off for him to come. He returns every phone call and email he gets requesting service and people are so grateful just to hear back from him, even if he can't get to them for 6 weeks. Like he tells me, it takes him about 30-40 minutes every evening to return phone calls, as a self-employed contractor, that's your job.
  13. LOL - both my daughters helped out on Mother's day in the Floral Dept of the grocery store they worked at, both of them said "how the hell do you not know it's Mother's Day until the day of??" By the end of the day men/children were leaving with bouquets of Baby's Breath because that's all that was left. Unbelievable. My pet peeve today: Watching the couple on the elliptical machines in front of me at the gym this morning "wipe off" the machines with a dry paper towel after they were done. There's another gentleman who wears a mask and latex gloves while he works out, he drips sweat everywhere and then just walks away from the equipment because (I think) he assumes that since he didn't "touch" anything that he doesn't have to clean it. I won't be saying anything because confrontation is not in my comfort zone and I won't put the staff in that position either. I just know to clean the equipment BEFORE and AFTER.
  14. This is why I can't have feeders, freakin' RATS! We are also near a lake and several restaurants, I miss watching the birds come to the feeders, especially in the winter.
  15. @Mondrianyone it still nauseates me to this day. If I hadn't been so panicked and grossed out I might have looked into just getting a replacement for that part. I ended up going with a thermal cup with a lid that also has a gasket but is removable for cleaning. Healthy Human Insulated Tumbler Cruisers with Stainless Steel Straw & Clear Lid - Keeps Hot & Cold Beverages 2 Times Longer - Vacuum Double Walled The
  16. You just reminded me of the time I went to rinse out my water bottle. The part through which you drank had a gasket that was fixed to it, it didn't come off. I only used this water bottle at work, only used it for cold water. I thought I was pretty diligent in rinsing it every day and letting it air dry. One day I went to rinse it and I tapped the lid against the sink, black stuff splattered on the sink. I tapped it again, more black stuff. I started taking my finger and running it around the gasket and got a bunch of black slimey mold. I was so disgusted that I'd been drinking that for months apparently. I threw the whole thing out as I couldn't remove the gasket and I didn't want to risk it.
  17. My pet peeve for today: That my husband waits to tell me that we are out of something, (in this case coffee), until it is completely gone. I've told him before to let me know when it's getting low, then I can be sure to put it on the list to buy (he hates grocery shopping) so we don't run out of it. ARGH!
  18. This happened when I was giving birth to my 2nd daughter, we heard a lot of yelling and then saw a woman getting escorted out while she muttered under her breath. My husband overheard (I was not paying attention for obvious reasons) the nurses saying that it was the mother of the baby's father and that the daughter in law didn't want her there because she was trying to direct the labor events.
  19. Betty's never let me down. I got a BC cookbook as a bridal shower gift 31 years ago, every recipe from it was fantastic. I purchased a newer BC cookbook 2 years ago and it's even better. I've tried a couple recipes off of Pinterest and Food Network but they were either overly complicated or not that good. I stick with the tried and true. My pet peeve today: those who are coming back to work now that schools have started and apparently forgot how to drive. The expressway I use has been wonderful for the last 18 months and now it is going back to the "oops, forgot my exit is here" and "I'll just sit in the middle lane going 45mph as long as i darn well please" and "Who needs a blinker, you should know I need to change lanes!" Gah!!! I haven't missed these folks!!!!!!!
  20. That's refreshing to hear!
  21. Same here, when it was just the girls and myself, working full-time, running them to practices and events, it was important for my sanity and health to let go of freshly prepared everything. Now that I have a bit more time on my hands I don't mind making from scratch, but I do love the pre-cut veggies that my Wegmans offers! If I can shave off 10-15mins of chopping peppers/onions/carrots that means I get some extra wine-sippin' time! Glad he's leaving soon, I dealt with a young boy on a minibike for 2 or 3 years at my old house. He'd zip around on the street unsupervised for hours on end during the warmer months. First was my fear that he'd get hit, 2nd was my annoyance at the sound. :)
  22. My laser spa (chin, pits and lady bits) has pretty discreet check in/out area BUT where I used to get waxed had a big sign that said "check in on FB, tag us on Insta, make sure you review us on google!" and I was like, who the hell is gonna announce to their family, friends and coworkers that they just got their cooch waxed???? omg, this is a huge pet peeve mine, store pharmacies are not private! When covid exploded they put plexiglass up and put a red tape line on the floor so you stood 6 feet back from the counter. I had to shout through a mask, through plexiglass from 6 feet away to confirm my birth day & month as well as my address, everyone in the vicinity of the Rx now knows where I live and when I was born.
  23. I used to always wonder how bad he stunk! All that exertion, sweating, rolling in the dirt without a shower in 24 hours, that man had to have bad body odor and nasty breath! I liked giving out candy to the little ones, always so cute!! Things have changed so much in recent years though that I don't have as much enthusiasm about Halloween. Between having to worry about allergies or having decorations that might scare or offend it just stresses me out. I just decorate for fall minus my witches and spiders and make sure the house is dark on the 31st so no one knocks on my door.
  24. Yep, I watched it last week and it was definitely Season 6, I wasn't disappointed necessarily because I love the show but it would have been interesting to see how it was the first season. I've watched earlier episodes and the format with the Judges in a glassed in room while the contestants watch them judge the knives is uncomfortable and boring. I'm glad they reformatted it to get rid of that segment.
  25. Did anyone watch the armed forces challenge? I just loved Fermin, so happy he won!! His enthusiasm was infectious! Grady has grown on me, I haven't given up on my boy Will coming back but Grady is definitely warming up!
