I'll sit with you, Carson is my fave, I enjoy his quiet plotting to Yam Yam's bitching & Carolyn's bleating. (I swear if I'm not looking at the screen during a challenge she sounds like a goat.) Jaime can go any day. Delusional. Nope. I was happy to see her go. Tired of the ooey-gooey googly sh*t at tribal and never felt she was a great strategist, I figured as soon as she didn't have immunity she'd be gone. Yes, yes yes! I liked Danny in the beginning, now he's an arrogant prick. They better vote him out soon.... I wish he would have laughed and said "It was fake Jamie, let it go."

Exactly what I was thinking of, as well as the Dateline episode with the baby's father's mother who murdered the baby's mom in shopping mall parking lot while wearing a disguise. People be crazy. This is where I am as well with her. My opinion is based on people in my life who have used childhood trauma as a crutch and an excuse for their piss poor decisions in life. No matter how many times they have been offered help, or been given assistance, they continue to sabotage any chance for a better future because, well, "poor me".

This topic is a solid no-go for me, we just had several arrests in my area of adults who abused a single child under 13. Like 20 people. I wish I had the money to hire someone to hunt them all down.

Pet Peeves: Aka Things That Make You Go "Gah!"

Aw, many moons ago at my old house when my kids were teens a neighbor had a hoop and all the kids would play from sun up to sundown through the summer months. Some days it was annoying but I remember the summer when all the kids had jobs or were moved out and I realized it was soooo quiet. Now when I hear the sound of basketball on pavement it makes me smile. But I understand your annoyance @annzeepark914! Sing it! -
I totally agree @SunnyBeBe that it was too long of a time span before someone noticed he was missing. There were 2 or 3 other people living in that house, and they all said he would never leave his cats (they never said where they went, hoping the mom took them in) so why wasn't anyone notifying family or the police? The ex-boyfriend allowing other people to use his room and his vehicle and no one is questioning that?
-
@SummerDreams you are so right on this. The show did used to let us get to know each player but somewhere it changed to being so heavily edited and mostly directed to who Peachy likes rather than allowing the viewers to decide who they like/admire/want to win. This season is half over and I am just now learning that there is a Heidi and a Lauren and I know NOTHING about them. I don't want just the weirdos, models, sneaky or mean players highlighted, I want to see them all.
-
@SunnyBeBe I think I know the episode you're referring to, was it the young man who disappeared after going to the bank to withdraw money? And it's possible his ex-boyfriend has something to do with it? I believe the mother said that it was not unusual for her to go months without hearing from her son. I get what you are saying, however, I think different families have different dynamics. If I went 48 hours without hearing from one of my children I would be texting and calling until they answered, but I have a coworker whose son has been out of touch with her for a few years. She knows he's alive thanks to social media but she said her attempts to call or text him have been unsuccessful. This show always makes me sad, I can't imagine the not knowing. And in this case so much time had passed and his room and vehicle had been used by others so there is no way to figure out what happened. I always hope the family will somehow get closure.

why though? -
I don't want to be too harsh but I do wonder if his previous gf felt smothered by his constant adoration. That kind of ooey-gooey lovey-dovey googlie-eyed crap would eventually make me want to run far, far away. I agree with this, I think it is poor that she is made to announce who the "Control a Vote" vote is going to go on. This is too much manipulation... it would allow a signal by Heidi to tell Matt and Yam Yam who to vote for. I think it should have been kept quiet as well, Lauren should have been told in the voting booth. Announcing it ruined any surprise it held.

This just happened this morning! The road my office is located on is two lanes until you have to go under a trestle bridge, there is plenty of signage. Anyone who works in my building would know this, and yet at least once a month one of my coworkers (I don't look over so I don't see the faces) will race me to the merge point and then have to slam on his/her brakes due to the traffic in front of us, and then RIGHT AFTER the bridge is our office parking lot entrance. Why? You saved a total of .13 seconds by getting in front of me. -
I'm sitting at your table, I truly dislike any 'showmance', I'm here for the gameplay, not the love scenes. Ick. Well then I am too, their antics get on my last nerve.

My coworker got implants about 6 years ago, she was an A cup at best and went to a B cup, they look great and she is very happy with them. The same surgeon who did her implants did my breast reduction and I am very happy with the results as well. I think if you go with a qualified surgeon who has great reviews you'll be very pleased. -

This is a great idea, now that the weather here in Upstate NY is getting warmer I may take a walk when I get home just for the 30 minutes of silence. That will help! -

My husband is self-employed and works in the home appliance repair business, he talks to customers about their issues and solutions but it's not the same as kabitzing with a coworker. I work in an office in a support position where I deal with people all day. When I get home all I want is silence but my husband wants to talk about his day. I don't have the heart to tell him to stop talking so I just listen, nod and comment at the appropriate time hoping it ends quickly. -
Yes and Yes. I like her but constant face-pulling, eye-rolling and lip-sneering are on my last nerve. Other than that I am Team Carolyn. ....she reminds me of the Marcy, the annoying neighbor on Married w/Children. Not a fan.

I'll add to this, my son-in-law who likes to be included when sometimes I just want my daughter one on one. Don't get me wrong, he's a great guy, but sometimes I just want girl talk, lol! Yes, I am finding this is true as well. It's amazing what I used to be able to eat with no adverse reactions. Now I look at something and wonder if I'll need bean-0 or a tums aferwards..... Yikes, we went through this with my dad for YEARS. He insisted that his hearing was fine, that it was us mumbling/whispering/talking all at once. Finally he got his hearing checked and lo and behold, hearing loss! He now has a hearing aid, which works wonders, he is much less aggravated now when the whole family is together and talking. -

LOL, no worries there, it's as if a switch flipped, once he saw how clean everything was he was much more inspired to keep it that way. Even the decluttering rubbed off on him. The kitchen counters used to be used as his office space with papers, mail, notepads all strewn about along with the toaster, coffeemaker etc. Since our kitchen is small I had no prep space if it all remained. Since then he has been almost a taskmaster about keeping the counters cleared! Yea, I can't have feeders in my new neigbhorhood because of a rat problem. The neighbor behind me has one, right next to our property line. When I was out clearing brush in that area he came out and mentioned he'd seen a rat by his feeder but his wife really enjoys watching the birds. I was peeved but didn't say anything. Thankfully I have not seen one since our other neighbor, who had 3 dogs and never cleaned up the feces in the backyard, moved. Rats love dog poop. Ick. -

@TattleTeenyI feel your pain. I moved from 2200 sq ft to 900 sq ft when I married Mr. KittyDad. We had planned it a year in advance and I asked him to please carve out space for me (and my stuff) amongst his overly cluttered and (kinda dirty) house. He.Did.Nothing. Which meant for the first 12 months I lived there I had to sort, toss, store, move, sell and giveaway HIS stuff in order to accommodate my stuff. I am not someone who can live amongst clutter and dirt*. Looking back I just remember the unhappiness and frustration I felt. It did get better, room by room as I cleaned and organized it began to feel more like 'home'. *My husband cleans the bare minimum so while countertops and walkways were 'clean', the rest of the house was covered in dust, dirt and grime from years of build-up. He just didn't see it. When I was mopping the floor he saw how dirty the water was and was surprised. He will now say "it wasn't that dirty" when I mention it but it was that dirty, trust me. In case anyone thinks I moved all 2200 sq ft worth of furniture and things to his house, I didn't. I sorted, tossed, stored and sold a ton of my stuff prior to the move. -

I've been hearing "what are the optics on this?" or "How will the optics look to so-and-so?" Which is basically saying "how will this be perceived" but because it makes the sayer sound like he/she is in law enforcement/military, it is now the go-to word to sound cool. I am not allowed to say "delish" around my husband because of her. I despise her lingo as well but didn't realize that delish was one of her words. Breast, mammarys, tits, boobs, etc., there is no way to say it without someone giggling or pearl-clutching. Same with our other lady parts, god forbid you refer to them by their anatomical designation without someone freaking out. I'm with you and will add: "put on your big girl panties" to the list. Talk about misogynistic. -

Peeve: Snippy people. Yesterday at the grocery store a man had blocked the case that held b sandwich rolls/hot & ham rolls, etc., with his cart and his body as he looked for his item. I waited until he stepped to the left and I could reach the sausage rolls I needed, as I reached my arm he stepped back to the right and was startled that I was there. I immediately said "So sorry!" He angrily snapped "Don't mind me!" Dude, wtf? I apologized again and quickly walked away. There was no reason for that and it set me off for the rest of the evening. Add to that, on the drive home a woman in a large SUV cut me off. (I was in the middle lane, she was in the left lane.) I had to slam on my brakes so as not to hit her and quickly looked in my rearview to make sure I wasn't going to get rear-ended, and there was NO ONE BEHIND ME! I laughed and thought "geez, you could have just slowed down and got behind me" but I wasn't mad or upset. As she exited at the split to the other expressway I glanced over and she is screaming out her window at me and gesturing. WHY???? I just don't get how people can be so nasty with so little provacation....or when it's their fault. -

Peeve: People who pick up and drop their phone repeatedly on their workout machine at the gym. Pick it up, scroll, scroll, scroll, drop it on the little shelf thing and keep repeating that pattern every few minutes. It is so loud and distracting! The man next to me on the treadmill this morning must have done it 20 times in the 45 minutes I was on the machine, ARGH! -
We have 4 cats (hence my username), 3 of them are rescues, one we adopted as a kitten. All 3 rescues were once outdoor cats but are now indoor only. Not one of the rescues has any interest in the outdoors, the kitten who never spent a minute outside thinks its where he needs to be, lol. Thankfully as he has gotten older he is fine with just sitting in the window chittering at the squirrels and the birds. As long as it's cleaned up I do not care, I have found poop piles in my yard a couple times when I was mowing and that pisses me off. It's your dog, you can clean up after it. Our dog passed in 2022 but when I walked him I cleaned up after him. Not sure what the big deal is about carrying the poop bag until you get home, to me it was just a plastic bag with poop. I wasn't carrying it in my bare hand....

LOL, "snuggled up", no truer description!! Baffles me, you have an entire parking lot but that spot right next to my truck is where you need to be? On the opposite side of this, I have watched people vie for spots closest* to the building to the point where there is a screaming match. Good grief people, is it really worth saving a few extra steps to get your blood pressure through the roof? *I am not referring to handicap spots or people who may have difficulty walking. These are able bodied folks who apparently only want to walk a certain number of steps...... Not at all, I have only tapped my horn at people who I can see have their head down or turned to talk to their passenger. I too wait a beat because I witnessed a near miss several years ago. I am only referring to the ones where I can count to 5 and their brake lights are still on. IMHO, if roundabouts were as common as stop lights I think they would be easier for everyone to understand. There will always be those entitled folks who will disobey/ignore/pay no attention to what they SHOULD do, because to them the rules don't apply. Roundabouts also keep the flow of traffic pretty even, again, IMO, because how many times have you been stuck at a red light with no one coming? Or trying to turn left but keep missing the opportunity because of oncoming traffic and the light turning again? Left turns in general are so dangerous, again because folks run red lights, don't pay attention or just feel entitled. I used to have to drive through 4-way stop every day, if you want to take your life in your own hands I highly recommend. Talk about a free-for-all! -

I 2nd this and will add: I purposely park in the *farthest area possible, where there are no other cars around. Why, why, why when I come back to my truck is there always at least one car parked in a spot right.next.to.me? You couldn't have taken one spot over? or 5 spots over? Why?????? *I do this because I drive a truck and it's big and I don't want to worry about dinging someone's door or blocking the view of smaller vehicles near me trying to pull out. HA! You may be on to something! -

Where I used to live was near a college campus and more frequently than not I'd be behind someone with their head bowed looking at their phone when the left turn arrow turned green. Since it is not green for long I would tap my horn after a few seconds. A few of them were polite but the majority gave me the #1 sign. HAHAHAHA! We drive a rural route to our place on the St. Lawrence, it's about a 3 hour drive, and let me tell you, the number of vehicles that would pull out in front of us while we are going 55-60mph and then putter along at 40-45mph as if the whole road belonged to them was infuriating! Blinkers? Why signal? Just slow waaaaaaaayyyy down and make us guess which direction you're turning, we've made it a game!
