  1. At least it looks more distinctive than Paraguay: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQp7POqWeXY
  2. Heh, that sort of drama-free trajectory would've raised this season well above its actual result. *sigh*
  3. Quite frankly, BB4 runner-up Alison Irwin did more in her two-episode stay than Mariano and Brkich in seventeen. Also, everything pre-Turkey/Britain kind of blends together into a visually arid monotony.
  4. I agree in principle, but in her (and Rebecca's) defence, that RB involved a rare "enforced HoO", i.e. an actual closing time, like the synchronized Russian swimming Detour fifteen seasons later on the very same leg that the KeyBlock makes an unofficial Switchback.
  5. Gosh, a finale wiith them, Mary & Peach, and any of the other eliminees besides Hope & Norm would've improved this season.
  6. It appears that this dad/daughter duo will have run the same number of legs as the very first premiere NEL recipients, Season 15 Poker Gals Maria & Tiffany, yet will also have technically finished one place lower: 11th: Marty & Hagan eliminated in Leg 2, the first of the double Colombian round 10th: Cameron & Darius eliminated in Leg 3, the second of the double Colombian round 9th: Erin & Joslyn or Brittany & Jessica eliminated in Leg 5, the second of the double Francophone Alps round 8th: survivor of previous episode eliminated in Leg 6, Armenia 7th: Scott & Blair eliminated in Leg 7, Georgia 6th: Zach & Rachel or Kurt & Brodie eliminated in Leg 9, the first of the double Indonesia/Bali round 5th: survivor of previous episode eliminated in Leg 10, the second of the double Indonesia/Bali round 4th: Burnie & Ashley eliminated in Leg 11, China Finalists Matt & Dana, Sheri & Cole, and Tyler & Korey
  7. Going back to the very first season preview, one image stood out in particular: Could this task be an informal Switchback to the filleting challenge used on the second season of the Canadian edition's Tofino episode?
  8. Amongst the non-gimmick seasons, the near-universally praised ones include the following: 3, 5, 12, 17, and 25, i.e. two old-school, two middle-TAR, and one contemporary.
  9. Yea, would a mod mind merging this one with mine? (Thanks in advance!)
  10. Where's the Chenbot when you need her?
  11. Hey, once TAR: Original US Edition gets the nod for cancellation later this year, there's always the Canadian version. :) Anyhow, the destination for the penultimate episode just screams "cheap substitute leg" a la Season 24 - it would be hilarious if, say, Bertram and Elise's Taiwanese contacts rejected them yet again just like a year ago. XD
  12. Hanlon 1, Glitter 0.
  13. Several clips from the future (i.e. still un-uploaded) intro made their way into a "Meet the Cast" video: Railcar in the Francophone Alps (0:03) Random ship in Colombia or Indonesia (0:04) Gondola in the Francophone Alps (0:05) Driving in Downtown Dubai (0:05) Random greenery in Mexico, Colombia, or Indonesia (02:35) Kartvlis Deda "Mother of All Georgians" Statue in Tbilisi (02:35) Town church of the "Les Praz de Chamonix" commune (02:36) Aerial of Downtown Geneva (02:36) Jvari Eastern Orthodox Monastery by Mtskheta in suburban Tbilisi (02:37) Greco-Roman Temple of Garni near Yerevan (02:37) Random boat in Colombia or Indonesia (02:38)
  14. Er, she and Zach never placed below the Top 5 just like W/T.
  15. You mean this iconic moment?
  16. Heh, even more than just two seasons ago, eh?
  17. As confirmed by the official schedule: http://www.cbspressexpress.com/cbs-entertainment/shows/the-amazing-race/photos?episode=9773
  18. http://www.amazingracefanwiki.com/page/Amazing+Race%3A+Where+Are+They+Now%3F
  19. Leg 10 features a poultry-carrying task in Denpasar as demonstrated by eventual finalists Korey & Tyler in the following (unuploaded officially as yet) commercial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqOK5djSPQ8
  20. Er, Kris is very much a cisgendered alpha female. ;)
  21. Yea, as it was airing, several TwoPers noted how the teams themselves seemed to be having anything but fun, e.g. the entire F5 in the Kolkata leg. What distinguishes its morbidity from Season 4's is a higher proportion of rootable teams in the endgame in an non-ironic sense (JoKe love aside).
  22. Perhaps it was World Race Production's safeguard against the "cult of personality" that some hosts tend to amass. (Ahem.)
  23. Would that the deities of Mesoamerica accept them as sacrifices:
  24. Here's to the new "trio" * being more like Malta and Monaco than Zimbabwe: * Only Charla and Mirna's homeland is truly uncharted territory, Steve Harvey's worst enemy already being a staple of the Latin American edition and the birthplace of Medea/Stalin turning up on HaMerotz la Million.
  25. Even PK himself appears a lost cause:
