Ah thanks! He's so prevalent on social media I was thinking....no way he deleted twitter!

Well. Still hate the noobs and all their passive aggressive bitchiness? Really Rene? PTSD? How about Oliver might still go to JAIL because of you HOSS?! Or did you forget that plot line like the show seems to have for now? heh. Felicity said frack. Would totally expect my girl to be a BAttlestar Galactica fan. Thats all I got.
-
Huh? No he didn't. I'm pretty new to Twitter but I just looked and his account is still there. Or do you mean a particular tweet? Or is this twitter slang for something and I'm clueless? That's possible.

"I guess I always thought someday we were gonna bang" "Me too girl. Me too." I think my neighbors might have heard me when I laughed at that. I really like this episode. And I agree even Alice was more bearable in this one. Sad that they didn't really mourn Penny....he has a point that he's saved their lives and i expected a little more. I did like how he was still trying to warn Eliot and went back to check on him. Very curious about how they are going to save him Without a body AND get him out of the library contract. We aren't supposed to think the canabals ate Glynis right? There are multiple library locations correct? I liked her and she seemed sympathetic to Penny. "Oh hey Penny". Heh.

Should ratings stuff go in the media thread? With that said. Wow. Look at the drop after episode 1! People were piiiissssseeed and it was awful and CC you deserve that. The only thing that kept me after that mess is I'm a super fan and dammit if Mulder and Scully are there so am I. Not surprised after forehead sweat either. I DO NOT get the universal love for that episode. I thought it was boring and weird and not in a good way. Are there any substantial spoilers out there or does no one really care enough to dig anymore?

The plot purpose would be when Skinner or CSM finally tell M&S about William being a science rape baby Scully can use the hair to test against Mulder and hopefully prove CSM is a lieing liar who lies. she was looking at the hair in the car before they stopped for gas.

Thanks! I must have just missed the "father" part. Surprising since I'm so sensitive to it thanks to MSIII. I agree on your points. Those were my high points as well. I liked the reference to Mulder being upset by his comments to the DOD guys and I appreciate that he is being strong for Scully but I would like more of a view at his feelings on this in future episodes. He lost his child too (shut up CC). As much as I hated what they did with the William plot years ago I hated even more that Mulder found out offscreen that his son had been given away. Would like to see DD have some heavy lifting to do too. He can handle it.

I'll have to stew on this one a bit. So many plot hole/wtf moments: -when Scully started the voiceover at the beginning I just rolled my eyes and Thought "oh please god no" - how was the case an XFile? The girls obviously attacked each other and didnt they JUSTmention the Ghouli when M&S were interviewing them? Because Mulder didn't bring it up before they got there. If that's the first time it was mentioned why was it flagged as an xfile?its not like there were multiple sightings of the monster or any physical evidence that would trigger any kind of feelers Mulder might have out there for weird cases. -why didn't Mulder and Scully just take the second laptop with them? The whole time I'm yelling at the screen "just take it and leave! Just take it!" They would have had plenty of time to explore the thing. And I was so frustrated I missed some of the point of what was even on there. -why did they have Skinner come all the way out to the boat for that useless conversation? So we'd think for a second he'd tell Mulder what CSM told him? Nah too easy. So does Mulder still think William is his son but they did something to him in utero? Or after Scully gave him away? I don't understand that conversation they had. He seems to say William was part of an experiment but how/when does He think it happened? Anyone? Not like Skinner clued him in. -William heard everything Mulder and Scully said in the morgue right? He knows they have good intentions toward him. He knows they are FBI probably as well. Why not stick with them? - I thought I saw another clip of the morgue scene where Scully says something about "your father" but unless I missed it it wasn't there tonight? Anyone else notice that?i don't want to watch again to see if I'm right or try to find the preview clip. Im seriously trying to figure out if the quality of the show has changed so drastically or if I have? Gillian and David still have me though. I just can't quit them.

Yeah. Sigh. I want to enjoy the "look" he gives her at the end of the episode and I'm trying really hard to ignore that whisper in the back of my head that says the relationship should be way more than that now. Too be clear I'm not looking side eyed at the sex or having some fun with the sex I'm looking side eyed at the making the sex out to be friends with benefits only. Yes! I miss Scullys real hair! The wig takes me out of scenes sometimes. Although judging by the way Gillian's hair has looked lately (walk of fame for example) maybe they really have damaged it almost beyond repair and girl needs a break.

Her acting was SOO BAD. She's about as subtle as a sledgehammer to the forehead. Could we dump her please? Shoot I actually kind of like her in scenes with Maze and Trixie but she's been absolutely terrible lately and especially with Pierce. But yeah I love kickass Lucifer!
-
Heh. I also rewound with a ..."wait did he just say BEN GALE!" I found myself flipping off the newbies every time they were on screen. Good thing about all of this is all the Felicity/Diggle scenes! Yay! I don't have to watch my OTA interacting and propping characters I don't care about over and over. All the Dinah/Diggle scenes were driving me batty. Same for Curtis/Felicity. Gonna go watch some season 1/2 OTA now just to keep riding that high.

So I watched a YouTube recap of this episode by a girl named Candace and she perfectly defined my thoughts while watching this episode....quotes: -"so it's 8:50 and I'm beginning to wonder what is the point of this episode and will Mulder and Scully ever go on a date?" -"sorry to hate on you Darin but his was like not your best work" -" season 10 barely had Mulder and Scully existing in the same space the dynamic is so much better..I feel blessed. Everything was great. This episode was fine. I'll take it." i think this girl is channeling me.

Did a rewatch. Appreciate it even more after tonight's weird Darin ep. Have to give a shout out to one of my other favorite moments I forgot to mention. When Mulder and Scully are on the bus and she asks if he really thinks they can get into a secure building looking like they do and he looks at her and says "You look good." Love the way he delivers that line and it felt like classic Mulder. I've missed my M&S. I'll say this this season has reignited my love for the show in a way season 10 could not so that's very good. I mean I'm rewatching and I actually deleted all of season 10 and will likely never watch again.
-
That was...what the hell WAS that? I didn't hate it like My Struggle but I didn't love it. Mulder and Scully were completely out of character even when they shouldn't be. It made sense when we were seeing them through Reggies eyes but otherwise why were they acting so weird? We only have 10 episodes and they use it on this ridiculousness? I guess I'm in the minority though so glad y'all liked it!

I know that Linda accepts Luci, Maze and Amenadiel as her friends as more than just angels and demons but she knows Amenadiel stopped time to save her life, she knows he's an Angel, she's seen Lucifer's devil face and still asks Luci questions about people he tortured and she met the mother of all creation. I believe she cares about them and accepts them and that she's recovered from her initial shock but seeing them as "people" has to be a stretch. She KNOWS they are all much more than that. That's a lot to brush aside and to focus only on not hurting Maze as a reason not to sleep with him. It is so simplistic. Brush aside that I hate that three characters I love are doing nothing more than being stuck in a stupid love triangle B plot, she should be a bit freaked out to be in a relationship with an Angel who seems to be on Gods bad side right now. Man I'd love to see Amenadiel on some kind of quest to truly figure out why he lost everything. Some more conversation between The brothers about that would be nice too.
-
I hated the Amenadiel subplot. An STD? Really? And he would go to a doctor and LET him take a sample of anything? What about the fear of a human seeing the Devine? Is he so human now he has no fear of that? And I don't like the love triangle or buy the relationship with Linda. She is surrounded by angels and demons and I can't buy she'd step into a relationship like that with one of them. It's too mind blowing and I think she's smarter than that. She already slept with the devil and had a mini breakdown. Chloe is still awful and Welling didn't improve. I didn't even LOl this time. They need to stop playing Lucifer as a baffoon. He's the devil. He's been around since the beginning of time and is also supposed to understand the human psyche well enough to make deals. I'd rather they play him as knowing what he's doing, maybe so distracted by celestial goings on that he doesn't always pay attention but not completely clueless on human emotions. so I feel like I should put a positive note here. Actually liked Charlotte being smarter and sticking up for Ella. Chloe being concerned about Dan and Maze using Trixie's art to cover knife marks. Also thereare many shows I liked in the third season. They hit their stride, Xfiles, Supernatural, Buffy...im sure there are more. I was just hoping for more from this show this season.

Yay! Found it! My friend Maria Nicole and her stories. Thank you for the link to Gossamer I found her there. We've lost touch since college and this is taking be back. My fault she started watching on my teeny tiny tv in my dorm room and I maybe introduced fanfic to her world. I'm proud. She was good. I think this was her first. I remember reading this before she posted it. Maybe Today http://tooms.gossamer.org/display.php?MaybeToday.Nicole Another one Cute MSR and because I'm missing summer: http://tooms.gossamer.org/display.php?OppositeOfImpuluse.Nicole

Only this show could make me go "oh nooooo kitty!" In one moment and then start laughing out loud after Q's hysterical attempt to explain it. I'm really loving the show this year. And surprisingly finding Q much less annoying this year. The morons and heroes speech made me misty. But does this quest mean Margo and Eliot are going to be split up for a while? Not liking that. And everybody should be able to work Buffy references into every day conversation. They just should.

Thanks for the recap! Interesting. I just bought a ticket for HVFF Chicago and it's combined with Walker Stalker so your comment on it being more crowded is too bad. I bought on a whim because I saw tickets for half off and thought "why not?" But I'm probably going by myself and I can't decide whether to plop down $80 for an SA photo op or not and hope there is enough going on without that and that I can wander around by myself without feeling weird and out of place. I've only been to two fan conventions in the past (XFiles and another comic con in Chicago) but never alone. Oh well! Guess I'll find out! I was a walking dead fan so at least I'll be amongst my peeps.

Also rewatching. Yes that whole scene was lovely just ..I didn't always understand where it was coming from. Also love the little smile Mulder gives himself in the bathroom mirror afterwards. He was so happy. But why did he have a shirt on? Just to have that little extra minute of the audience wondering if they had sex? I mean When he was changing in a panic to go get Chucky we got to see him shirtless and Duchovny ain't got nothing to be ashamed of that's for sure.

Yes! I'm going to go find and reread now thank you!!! I think back in the day I emailed one of the writers to ask some stupid question just to have an excuse to chat with her I loved the story so much. And Karen Rasch another blast from the past. I think I loved that story too.
-
OMG! I wasn't watching then is that really what happened?!!! Why on earth does Ava get a whole episode and Sonny is the hero of this show? Why?!!
-
Ooh hello fanfic thread! XF was the first fanfic I ever read as well...mostly because there was no internet when I watched Scarecrow and Mrs King and Moonlighting. PAULA GRAVES. What a blast from the past that name is. I think I read everything she wrote. Now I'm going to have to go digging. A friend of mine wrote a few stories that were good (I was proud I brought her into it and she even dedicated one to me) and I think she even won a newbie award. I need to go try to remember what her pen name was. I also have fond memories of M/S having sex in a lake while camping (might have been around raining sleeping bags) and I read this really out there fanfic where they get pulled into a world with magic and Mulder is a magician and Scully is a healer. Sounds absolutely crazy and not really my thing but I ended up loving it. I used to have it saved on hard disk. Gotta find that too. So I'm not any help in providing names or links I'm just reminiscing out loud here guys.

Yes and yes. She should have just crawled into bed with him. It's not like he wouldn't have gotten the point and they have spooned before. And yes he looked hot right? The hotness is finally back. He looked good here and in This. I guess MSIII did nobody any favors in multiple ways. Oh and also when Scully was being all weird about the hotel room and making Mulder sleep on the pullout I did yell "F$&k off Chris and get over yourself." That man makes my blood boil. And I may be a shipper who squees (I still remember my friend Julia literally climbing on my back and screaming during the dance in PMP) but I still expect a good story and some character consistency . I didn't squee in this..well I melted a bit with that last come hither look from Mulder ..because I found it all too awkward for where they should be now. A bit offended when someone implies shipper moments is all it takes to make me happy. I'm probably one of the shows biggest critics. I was a member of one of one of those early email fan threads that dissected the xfiles long before we had forums so it's a habit now. It drives my friends batty.

Ok yeah I liked that they had sex but I don't understand their relationship at all. They were obviously fully together in the second movie, broke up for reasons I still don't understand and...just now restarted their sexual relationship? But seemed in every way together in the last episode? And Scully is worried he'll find someone else and have kids? Don't buy it. The pretzels CC had to twist to keep from showing them kissing on screen....whatever. He probably thinks he's clever. As for the case..creepy yes and we've had many a case where Mulder and Scully so nothing to impact the case and the supernatural stuff happens around them and works itself out but usually I understand why Mulder has a theory. What made him decide to look in Judy's room specifically? He didn't see the paper with the name until he was already in there. Was it just the hangman part? Just because some of the victims hung themselves? They jumped off buildings too. And actually Mulder being hot AND annoying saved them. Judy wanted to kill Scully because she wanted Mulder and her brother wanted to kill Mulder because he bugged him. Cross purposes. :) All that being said I did enjoy the episode.
