I wonder if Doug does drag. Or maybe he's just a big RuPaul fan. How common is the word hyphenate as a noun? I'd never heard of the word being used that way before yesterday.

Doug leaning on the podium in the opening credits=douche.

Week 3: 4/5
-
Oh crap. What will I watch while eating dinner? (I DVR the show for later viewing).
-
Would it kill Nancy to smile? FJ! was an instaget and I ran the Queen Concert category.

Edward VII, George V, Edward VIII, George VI. I finally figured out the odd numbers come first, then the evens, but I have to start with Edward VIII and work my way up and down. I recently read a work of “faction” (word courtesy of Alex Haley) titled The Royal Nanny, about the nanny to the G5 children. I recommend it.

Week 2: 3/5

I said Thomas Payne, but then again, I have no interest in American history prior to 1900.
-
I immediately didn't like Raymond because he was a leaner, but warmed up to him until he said his favorite baseball team is the Cubs. Boo hiss. I'm from the south side of Chicago. I thought of Hershey but thought it was too obvious.

FJ! was an insta-get for me although I've never read the book or seen the movie. Bummer that the female contestant missed the DD of "Blackjack Pershing." Her answer of Patton was just........too early.
-
2/5 for me. I got the same answers as Kathira.
-
I'm 2 for 5. I got bauhaus and Guillotine. IMHO, Bedtime for Bonzo was Regan's most famous movie, or, the movie most closely associated with him. He titled his autobiography "Where's The Rest of Me?" after his role in "King's Row" but I didn't think King's Row was a real place. I wouldn't have come up with South Bend, Indiana if I thought all night. Of course it doesn't help that my family is anti Notre Dame. Wild Sow, maybe we have a separate thread to post our scores? That way you don't have to wade through our foolishness. Edited to add: I need to read for comprehension. Just saw the separate thread.

I’ve heard “a schoolboy’s pocket”.
-
Has Michael been proven (so far) to be anything more than a routine (I use that term loosely) serial killer?
-
Nope nope nope noopity poopity to the beard.

Season 3 will always be my second favorite season, except I won't watch the making outfits for Mom episode since I hate Jeffrey Sebellia. I realized why--he looks like my alcoholic brother who would get in my face and shout "I hate you." I adore Robert Best and think he and Kanye could do a great tv show. Mychael's death still saddens me.

Only one more week! Anyone remember who the current champ is?
-
I hate suspense so read the thread before watching the episode. Now that I know Liam went home, I may not watch. Stacey and Kate have been far weaker in past bakes and therefore should have gone home before Liam. I'm pouting.

40 Celsius is about 100 Fahrenheit. I can’t imagine cooking in that heat, even with air conditioning. I didn’t know the sauce, basil, and cheese represented the Italian flag. Learn something new every day!

No bread sculptures will ever top Paul’s lion and I’m still bitter that Ian was given the win. I look forward to bread week but this was meh. No stand outs for me, although Stephen’s was the best. I think I have a mini crush on Noel. He looks like he would be loud and goofy, but I find him very low key and sweet.
-
Chris is a dead ringer for Jared Harris. Didn’t Nadya make fortune cookies? Didn’t seem that difficult of a challenge.
-
I like the bakers and I like Prue. Paul is being toooooo nice. Noel and Sandi haven’t gelled yet. I feel like we haven’t seen their true personalities but that’s o.k. As usual, not enough time for the showstopper. I was happy to see the loser gone. They skeeved me out.
-
Two Hollywood handshakes in the first episode? Unbelievable! I was gobsmacked by the baker who went home. I was betting someone else would leave the tent.

I miss Monfils’ wild and crazy hair. Unfortunately he just retired from the match due to a wrist injury.
