But where did Sherlock get the head? And why was the man decapitated? Schrodinger’s bird flu made me laugh.
-
Now I have “they say the Acropolis is where the Parthenon is” stuck in my head.
-
I ran the Impressionists category. Monet, Manet, Tippy Tippy Day Day for you Seinfeld fans. No idea as to FJ! Seems like there have been quite a few geography FJs lately.
-
The answer “the butler did it”had the word butler in the clue! Sloppy writers. Is there room at the Romulus and Remus table for me?
-
You are so lucky. We called Dog 'N Suds Arf and Barf. They sold their root beer in waxed cartons shaped like megaphones. I buy the bottled root beer occasionally. It's not as good as I remember.

I immediately thought Mason Dixon line, but figured that was too easy.
-
According to MW, plumbago is an archaic word for lead or graphite. Why would the writers do such a thing?

White Castle rocks. THE best.

@DrSpaceman, your life is better not having seen Jerry Lewis movies. I hate him. We had JITB in Chicago in the 70s. Many a night we'd stop for tacos after cruising the neighborhood. What can I say, I was in high school!
-
I got 5 of the 6 languages in the FJ! category, but completely blanked on Arabic. I didn't know it could be caligraphized. I just invented a new word.
-
Yet another GWTW TS. People, read the damn book!

Shangela and Ross Matthews are hosting the televised Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final today on Logo.

I don't like sappy dialog so I fast forwarded through the vows. I did get a bit misty eyed when Mary and Sheldon had their little talk. Kripke singing was the perfect ending. I do want Raj and Missy to be a couple.

Even I, a 60 year old white female, knew the University of Mississippi. I was what, 5 or 6 when it happened, but it is a landmark event that every educator should know. Gold Rush and Ain't She Sweet were well before my time but I knew them. In fact, I sang Ain't She Sweet to the cat and tried to Charleston. I buy postage stamps because my hobby is rubber stamping so I'm always sending out handmade cards.

FJ! was a bit of a poser but I finally got it. I thought the Globe was built before the 1990s. Is it wrong that I want one of them to spend their grant on hookers and blow? LOL
-
Isn't "stamps" a Clavin Category? I have Elvis, Janis AND Paul Newman stamps. Those get doled out sparingly.
-
No idea as to FJ! although I figured it was a city west of the Mississippi. The Presidental Possessive category couldn't have been easier. That was almost Teen Jeopardy! material.
-
Mayo with fries is a must have for me. I blanked on moors (moops?) because I thought it was too obvious. Plus I hate Wuthering Heights. No Brontes, no Austen pour moi.
-
Alex gave a clue during Snatch Game on RuPaul. It was a video insert.
-
Alex is on RuPaul tonight! I loved that the writers used the phrase prog rock. It’s so British, like chuffed. I totally blanked on FJ!
-
FJ! was an instaget, but it would impossible if you don't know designers, even if you figured out LV. I'm bummed Osman is gone. He was a good contestant and had no annoying tics/swaying/shouting/annoying mannerisms.
-
The category was B.G. I'm glad the judges ruled against just Button. All answers should have to have had first and last names. I got FJ! right away, but when will I ever learn the difference between Dante's Inferno and Paradise Lost? I blew that DD but glad Osman got it. I can't believe the British Museum was a TS. I knew netsuke but couldn't pronounce it.

In the 80s, I had a very cool khaki shirt dress that I belted with a wide leather belt, and wore a leopard print scarf. That's as close to fashion as I've ever gotten. I was also 40 pounds lighter so could carry it off. My favorite candy bar as a kid was Heath and I still love them. And Baby Ruths. I thought everyone knew the Baby Ruth was not named after Babe Ruth story.
