How do I know you're not a villain?
-
I was going to vote for HM because I was following the crowd. But now, because of the pistachio thing, I think Drogo might be a villain, quick to jump on everyone else to throw the scent off. 1 to DL Drogo (joanne3482) 4 for pistachio pipes. 3 to DL JOANNE3482 (Lady Calypso, Lisin, Deaja) 2 to not fall for this again 1 to DL BIZBUZZ (Drogo) 4 to not vote for HM, because joanne was going to

But isn't it: "But the worst thing is, if you so much as put a foot in the Bog of Stench, you'll smell bad for the rest of your life. It'll never wash off." You're implying the answer is "one toe." You could possibly make the argument for Drogo. The story mentions pistachio pipe. Pistachios are grown in Turkey and Italy, both countries on the Mediterranean which is where Drogo would like to go someday.

I noticed pistachio and dragonfly wings as well, but couldn't find anything in the profiles to really say anything.

I have. Something about this is just not clicking in my head. I'm sure there will be a moment where it will all come together and I go OH THAT'S what's going on. I definitely agree with the explanation that says the best way to understand the Mafia game is to play the Mafia game.

Since I've resigned myself to complete and utter incomprehension of this I'll join the bandwagon. 4 to DL @Hanged Man (Lisin, Drogo, Deaja, joanne3482) 1 to something something

Way back in the 80's there was a Jeopardy toy (for lack of a better word) created that you could keep track of your score on. Looking at google, it seems there now could be an app you could download to keep score on if you were hardcore.

S01.E12: There's My Nigerians
joanne3482 replied to jewel21's topic in Bob ❤️ Abishola (Bob Hearts Abishola)
And, according to Dottie, the first wife did sign a pre-nup. Her argument is one I've heard on basically every TV show about people who have family businesses or significant family money - we have to protect the inheriting (biological) members of the family. -
Hm. So far I've been completely bat crap crazy about how the clues work so for the moment I'm going to sit back and observe the chaos. Oh and say aww poor puppy.

S01.E12: There's My Nigerians

I viewed it as more of a cultural thing. I know it is American to throw the kids out of the nest ASAP, but in many other cultures kids stay with the parents until marriage. I had friends in college who were Filipino and that was the expectation. We've seen from Abishola's aunt and uncle that in their culture family seems to be very up your business so I can see his mom being up in his business. I'm not sure how old Kemi and Chukwuemeka are supposed to be on the show. In real life they're both in their 40s, with the actress who plays Kemi being slightly older. On the show I do get the mother/son vibe you're seeing because they dress her older so it seems almost like she's in her mid to late 40s and he's in his early 30s. -
Even better have her replace one of the other two judges and/or Karli as the host. I don't understand or like the stair-step asymmetrical hem. They all had them this episode. They're not good.

I like this perspective. It is one I never really thought about, but it makes a lot of sense. It always bothered me with original recipe, and even now, that the bad guy (Darth Vader and Ren) should be somehow forgiven because they FINALLY did the right thing. In both cases they killed a lot of people. Saving the hero doesn't negate that.

Can you expand on that? I am unfamiliar with Lucas' vision regarding Yoda and now baby Yoda. -
Food Network Challenge - General Discussion
joanne3482 replied to Spunkygal's topic in Food Network Challenge
I agree with everyone. That was a disaster. I LOVED Food Network Challenge back in its day. The challenges were all so interesting and some so different. This was a mess and if those are 'the best of the best' that's just sad. I didn't mind Ian as host, but I was bothered by his sabotage comment. That's not what Food Network Challenge is about. If that's what the producers are looking for, that's just sad. I'll watch one more but probably am out after that if the quality doesn't improve. -
Hmm. This line seems to imply that Ludo dies. He doesn't die. Now Drogo loves Game of Thrones and GOT was well known for killing off major characters... And Machiabelly wants to eat with several major religious figures, religion usually being preoccupied about what happens after death...

S01.E11: Splitting the Hairs
joanne3482 replied to jewel21's topic in Bob ❤️ Abishola (Bob Hearts Abishola)
I think this might have been intentional though. They mention in one episode that Bob dropped out of college (I think?) to come home and help his mother and younger siblings after his dad died. -

I totally agree with that in general. But, to me, it would be an unattractive quality in a potential romantic partner that he felt the need to brag about his good deeds. To me it shows he's somewhat selfish and would make me wonder if every time he did something nice for me or the house or our kids would he expect some sort of grand thanks, you know? -

But it seems to me like the noble goals are so that he looks good and can brag about the good works he is doing. He's got kind of a god complex. -

So my parents are probably Dottie's age - 70s to 80s and even though they claim they are not racist and get so angry when a "liberal" implies they are even though I had a whole argument about how Jew is not a verb and my dad literally used a racist slur for an Hispanic person while I was there last week. It's hard. I did love Bob and Abishola in this episode. I like that she's warmed up to him. I liked that she kissed him. I just like the two of them together. I could do without Dottie and the siblings. -
D'oh! I was looking at a list on the first page where maybe MT was still thinking about it. Shucks.

While Silver has been excellent in her use of grammar thus far in this story, I noticed this error. So I'm thinking @meet trouble due to their strength of mostly proper grammar.

Ansel is probably also receiving SSDI in addition to whatever Grey pays him and would be eligible for a free bus pass. Portland has a great public transportation system so he could work without a car. The clients I worked with at the group home received both an income from their job and SSDI and the SSDI paid for their actual room/board and the pay they received from their jobs paid for activities and things they wanted that were outside the standard (like a newer TV or one guy who wanted and saved for a fancy glass dining room table). In reality the group home model would be ideal for Ansel. We had some clients who just had a staff member come in for a couple hours in the evening but otherwise they were on their own. He needs additional support. I don't think he would be able to go from Dex & Grey looking out for him to living all by himself successfully.

Tennisgurl, I think you know what you need to work on in the new year. 🙂 If Elf on the Shelf can become a "tradition," I think a magical Kangaroo could definitely become a "tradition."

Phew! I was worried that since I was unexpectedly out of town the past several days I would have missed out on this and DL'd the first day. Glad I'm still alive! Now to figure out what y'all are talking about wills and hints.
