Trial & Error - General Discussion
CheezyXpressed replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Trial & Error
This better get a second season! And if it does, hopefully NBC doesn't pull an ABC and ruin the second season by airing it out of order, like they did with The B from Apartment 23. If Larry is indeed the murderer of this new body, then he could still come back in the next season. Unless he was just guilty of removing a fish caught on something, which in turn pushed the body into the river. We also learned that East Peck is west of North Peck. There were so many great moments, but I think I laughed the hardest when it was revealed that Rutger Hiss was running for mayor. I think he has a good shot at winning. -

I was wondering what happened to the taxidermist and Anne's issues, but they came back again in this episode as did Josie. It looks like she didn't like Summer either, so I'm wondering if she'll come back. Plus, I miss her random drinking cameos. Larry having the phone turned out to be something with merit, which was shocking. As was discovering that Larry has a twin brother. This show keeps surprising me with their twists. Does this mean that the evil twin did everything? I'm going to be sad when this show ends. Hopefully it gets renewed, because it's been fantastic. Edit: I recommend you guys check out their facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/NBCTrialAndError/ There's another 60 minutes type show about Larry's first wife's death. It's hilarious. At the moment there are three parts, but I it's great. -

The mayor was in a coma and still brought the unemployment rate down. I can understand why this town loves comas so much. Edit: I think my favourite line in the two episodes was when Larry complained that Margaret just got a two year plan and then was murdered. He pretty much made it seem like it was the plan of the phone company - because that's how they get you. I found the exact quote: "It makes me so sad seeing this picture. I insisted she get a two year plan and two weeks later she's dead. That's how they make their money." Even though it's suspicious for him to have the phone, I can see him keeping it charged as a middle finger to the phone company's dirty practice. Hmm, am I starting to understand Larry? -
S04.E04: Keepers of the House
CheezyXpressed replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in The Originals [V]
I feel like becoming a mother is what made Hayley think of the children more. She has killed people before and put her 'family' (or at least the idea of having a family) before others, which resulted in their deaths. But I think she's starting to see the world differently after being a parent for these past five years. I don't know if it's PT's acting, but Hayley has been coming off as more mature compared to before. And Kol understood this too, which is why he left as well. She hasn't been alive as long as the Originals and definitely hasn't had the same family experiences, but I think she's trying the best to set an example for Hope and not be as black and white when it comes to others. Plus, she might feel guilty that the ancestors were so intent on killing Davina after the witches died. Hayley killed them to be with Hope, but it also resulted in the death of a friend. I dunno, I feel like Elijah is a lot more ruthless and willing to kill anyone, even children, for the sake of his family, which is something that Klaus is conflicted by depending on the person. Hopefully the show comes full circle with Elijah's arc about his inner demons. -

I can't believe I forgot about the cable guy too. I was nervous that Margaret was having an affair with him too, but it turned out to be owls. I wonder what happened to the gym trainer that we saw in the pictures. Maybe he needs to be up on the murder board...murder board....MURDER BOARD! I thought it might be Summer due to the title sequence. Aside from Josh, she's the only person who doesn't have a picture of her moving. The only thing that moves is a circle around a body. Plus, in the previews/promos for the show they showed her in a jail cell so I think she knows something. -

This show is getting better and better every week. The hand, Josie finally talking (which surprised me), Anne interrogating Larry, the caddy reading from his paper, Larry being the fourth cause of death, the judge who lost a family member because of a cannon. The cannon lol. I almost expected to see Josie leaving in the car with the caddy at the end, or hitting a tree. -
Just a fun hypothetical question for everyone: you know how Jedidiah is hated here and there, what if next season she isn't on.... ...and she gets replaced by Tomi to fill not only the conservative chair, but the young one as well. How would everyone feel about that?

I wish they also mentioned that each of these countries have been destabilized due to the US sticking their nose in things they had no business in. Plus, they (minus Iran) get droned all the time for no reason. The media here can say they droned terrorists and we're okay with it, but once you learn that they droned a graduation ceremony, or a wedding, or children then it's harder to believe that. There's also some accusations that during the last drought (not the one going on now) the US purposely blocked food from Somalia. And yet, most of these people would love to come to the States and have no ill will towards the people there. I know he probably wouldn't come on the show anytime soon, but I'd love for Jeremy Scahill to come on and educated everyone about what's going on. His documentary, Dirty Wars, should be mandatory viewing.

This better get renewed. I wasn't really caring about it when it first came out, but it's really grown on me.

"I'm done making other people happy." I died when Craig said this to his sister in law. And at the end when they were talking about the boy Alan almost killed. Another great episode, hopefully we get more and this doesn't get cancelled.

I'm not a Trump fan (being black and Muslim kind of makes it hard to like him to begin with) but I don't really like Lena's answer to Joy and Paula's question about why white women voted for him. She kept mentioning that they may not come from a family that teaches them about their rights or that they just don't know, but that doesn't really mean anything if these women voted for jobs which will help them and their families. Even if these women were super feminists, I can understand them wanting women's health care and rights but prioritizing a means to live more. I think I understood what she was trying to say, but she didn't word it properly.

Not looking forward to Friday. I can't stand Lena Dunham.

I'm watching what happened today and I'm surprised no one jumped on Jed's comments about how Trump isn't a reflection on Americans or even Republicans, when a Muslim ban is judging everyone based on the action of a small few. Trump isn't how America really is, but all of us Muslims are the same as those who behead people because we don't like the US' democracy and freedom. Okay then...

A lot of people believe that, but most of us who are originally from those banned countries are terrified of the States because they keep bombing us. And despite that, they still wish to come to the US, because they believe that they'll have a better life there. Plus, democracy isn't really democracy here or anywhere really... Jed saying these things proves that she's not a Libertarian, because Donald Trump has been doing things that go against their beliefs. It's fine if you wish to follow POTUS, but at least be upfront about it. She'll spew lines like this, then say "I was critical of him before and I don't agree with him blah blah blah." It's lies.

I figured Zorn and Linda would hook up after Linda started kissing MegaZorn. I really want to see how they feel about their new boss and if he goes power hungry in his new role. Hopefully Edie doesn't think about getting back with Zorn and stays with Craig. I love the family unit as it is at the moment and need it to stay like this. Plus, I like the budding friendship between Craig and Zorn. Maybe we'll see Zorn actually help cheer up Craig. That would be a fun twist.

Canada's Worst Driver - General Discussion
CheezyXpressed replied to The Crazed Spruce's topic in Canada's Worst Driver
I feel like once Daniella gets a major confidence boast, she'll be a good driver. She did show initiative on the show and did improve a bit, but she let her nerves get the best of her. On Facebook, she mentioned that she has been improving more and recently got her G licenses so I'm glad that she's improving. I was smiling along with Tyler on the show. He's shown a lot of growth and I think he benefited the most from this experience. Plus he got a couple of shirts from Andrew too. As for Krystal....I'm glad I don't live in Edmonton. The sad thing is that she isn't a bad driver when she puts in some effort, it's just that she doesn't care and would rather lash out or cry for attention. It's frustrating to watch, because she has potential but refuses to use it. I really hope she gets the help that she needs, if she is suffering from something, and takes some classes. Otherwise she will eventually kill someone. -
Oh Whoopi. When she said that America won't be a puppet government, I just kept thinking that Trump will be a puppet president, which is scarier than anything else. Pence was the starting point, but all of the people that Pence Trump is picking is showing that more and more. And while everyone keeps focusing on how crazy Trump is, they forget about Pence and how much power he's going to have and how dangerous he'll be since he's going to be running things and not Trump.

I like that the View is trying to teach us about media literacy and how we should all make an effort to check the facts, but people don't really have time for that and there are times when the media will just push a story that is false. Weapons of Mass Destruction come to mind and the chocolate is good for your health one that Adam Ruins Everything made up. So even if you check your facts and listen to different news sources, it's still hard to find the truth when it comes to certain stories, which is why people tend to turn to social media more and more. I really like DJ Khaled, so the interview with him was fun to watch. His joy with life is infectious and I kind of want to read his book now. I listened to it again and Whoopi says, "And there's something important that maybe Sherri you could help them with." It was right after they were talking about Jimmy Kimmel's baby announcement. It was a minor thing, but I thought it was funny.

Canada's Worst Driver - General Discussion
CheezyXpressed replied to The Crazed Spruce's topic in Canada's Worst Driver
I feel like Andrew was trying to be extra nice and extra attentive to Krystal, because she said that she doesn't handle 'harsh' comments well. But she still acted badly, which only frustrated Andrew even more. You can't win with her. It's not a millennial thing, it's just a bad attitude and spoiled behaviour. I'm terrified for Andrew. The next episode is going to be rough for him. -
I should have expected Headbutt Man would die at the end, but I wasn't prepared for the keys. RIP Headbutt Man. Hopefully he's not actually dead, but just really badly injured.

Right before Sarah brought up the Passport program, Whoopi called her Sherri. I feel the same way. I like her, but ever since Donald became the Republican nominee she's been in fight or flight mode and it's gotten worse since he became the president elect. She looks terrified and she says she's terrified, but she needs to rise above it somehow because it's almost like a black hole for her at the moment. Granted, it doesn't help that Trump is crazy and she's beside Sarah who I feel voted for Trump and is now regretting it.

TDS 3.0: Season Two Talk
CheezyXpressed replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in The Daily Show With Trevor Noah (2015-2022)
I loved his response when she said "I don't see colour," because that's really a stupid thing to say to a person of colour. I understand why people say statements like this, but it really undermines what minorities go through every day. It was a stellar interview and the fact that he remained compose when most of us would be shouting (granted, I was shouting and I was only watching it through the screen). Kudos to Trevor! -
If a black/latina woman is saying that it's racist, then maybe you should just agree with her. I did understand what Sara was saying and how we need to be careful, but at some point you need to call a spade a spade.
