  1. Final team rosters/cheat sheets for the Lives: Team Adam Blaine Mitchell (defeated Andi & Alex) Jordan Smith (defeated Viktor Király) Keith Semple (defeated Dustin Christensen) Shelby Brown (defeated James Dupré) Amy Vachal (stolen from Team Pharrell) Team Gwen Braiden Sunshine (defeated Ellie Lawrence) Korin Bukowski (defeated Summer Schappell) Jeffery Austin (defeated Kota Wade) Regina Love (defeated Riley Biederer) Viktor Király (stolen from Team Adam) Team Pharrell Madi Davis (defeated Amy Vachal) Darius Scott (defeated Morgan Frazier) Mark Hood (defeated Siahna Im) Evan McKeel (defeated Tim Atlas) Riley Biederer (stolen from Team Gwen) Team Blake Barrett Baber (defeated Blind Joe) Ivonne Acero (defeated Chance Peña) Emily Ann Roberts (defeated Nadjah Nicole) Zach Seabaugh (defeated Chris Crump)* Morgan Frazier (stolen from Team Pharrell) Names in bold indicate someone who has newly won a Knockout and stayed on his or her team, or has been freshly stolen. An asterisk indicates that this contestant was montaged. So . . . have the producers now decided to surprise the artists with their Knockout opponents? I saw Mark and Siahna, Jeffery and Kota, and Evan and Tim all be surprised by each other's appearances. So the final Knockouts: James vs. Shelby: If I ever wanted to go on The Voice and do a Blake song, it would've been "Sangria," not the one James chose. That said, he did all right, but there was something missing. Shelby, OTOH, blew him out of the water. Good choice by Adam here. I'm actually glad for one prediction being wrong, even though, at the same time, I still would've liked to have seen Shelby get served right for picking Adam by subsequently getting dumped by him. Mark vs. Siahna: Interesting that Pharrell wanted to advance Mark through, knowing that he already has Darius to fill his particular niche. That said, I thought this was a blowout. After a great Blind and a good Battle, this Knockout was Siahna's worst song to date. Her pitch issues were more than obvious. Mark was pitch-perfect and kicked her ass up and down the street, for sure. This reminded me completely of the Rob/Treeva Knockout last season, when it was clear the powerhouse, twenty-something black male singer was so obviously better than the young, white, teenage female singer. Also . . . I kind of heard on YouTube from someone who'd seen the Knockouts live during taping that Siahna had been knocked out by Mark, so I'm not too surprised, anyway. Just like I thought Rob deserved to move on and Treeva to go home, I certainly thought that Mark deserved to move and Siahna to go home. I did find it cute when she bopped to the music while he was singing "Stand by Me," though. Whoever wanted her gone, though, congratulations. You got what you wanted. Jeffery vs. Kota: I thought this was no contest. Jeffery sounded just breathtaking, while Kota had pitch issues almost as bad as Siahna's. Gwen made the right pick here, though I'd have liked to have seen Kota advance with a better song choice. But I'm thinking Adam, Pharrell, and Blake's comments about Jeffery are what made all the difference in this choice. Emily Ann vs. Nadjah: Someone needs to tell Nadjah that Sonic did "A Woman's Worth" a lot better last season. That said, how the hell could Blake have sent her home? Not that Emily Ann was bad, but Nadjah owned her by far! I guess I should've known, though. Emily Ann was seen in the Blinds and Battles, while Nadjah was only seen in the Blinds, but montaged through the Battles. Of course Emily Ann would get through. Evan vs. Tim: Honestly, neither performance really wowed or interested me. But in terms of overall performance, I guess Evan was better. I'd have chosen him just as Pharrell did. Regina vs. Riley: I can see how Gwen found this one difficult. I loved both performances. Regina has great vocal power, and Riley has exceptional control. In the end, of her two prior steals, I think Gwen chose right by picking Regina. I think Riley will do fine back on her original team, anyway, so it's a good thing that Pharrell stole her back. As for the montaged Knockout, I'm glad it was between two people I didn't really care a whole lot about. We only got to see Zach and absolutely none of Chris, though, which seemed a bit unfair. Okay! Knockouts over! Bring on the Lives!
  2. Neat! Also, there's a nice forum for it, too: http://forums.previously.tv/forum/2044-total-drama-presents-the-ridonculous-race/.
  3. Given what she overheard him talking about with Laura, I think she's just playing him and/or setting him up, so that didn't come off as gross to me at all.
  4. They do. Their team name is "#TheReporters."
  5. I think the reason that alpha males usually got positive edits is because of Colby during his Australian Outback run. Colby was the original male challenge beast, a good strategist, and a great provider for his tribe, and so much of America was in awe of him. So perhaps the show and its editors keep hoping to find the next Colby-like alpha male. Who knows? That's probably how they saw Terry in Exile Island (even though he was clearly nothing like Colby -- at least his strategies succeeded). Of course, yes, there are also the Tom comparisons. Terry was brought on so soon after Tom that he has been compared to him. But yeah, Tom had way more strategic sense than Terry did. He just came across as the strategic dunce he actually was.
  6. Speaking of podcasts, what was said in the last one you listened to a few days ago? As I'd said, not all of us get podcasts, so something must've been pretty exciting for you to listen to it.
  7. Put this in another thread, too, but maybe this is more appropriate for this one. Okay. It's that time again. We have quite a bit of time before the final Knockouts tomorrow, so how do you all think it's gonna go down, in terms of final Live teams? Last season was much easier for me to analyze since I followed that very closely and could reasonably assess everyone's strengths and weaknesses, as well as their visibility via being shown or montaged. Team Adam Only one pair left here, and I think this could go either way. But if Adam is still as obsessed with his bromances as ever, I think James has the edge over Shelby. I actually wouldn't mind this, because it was universally agreed that Shelby made a huge mistake picking Adam over Blake. It'd serve her right if he dumps her tomorrow when I highly doubt that Blake ever would have. Shelby does have a chance, though, if Adam's still desperate enough to try and beat Blake with a country singer. Final team for the Lives: Blaine, Jordan, Keith, James, and Amy. Team Gwen Two pairs left here, and the previews have already mildly spoiled one pair -- Regina vs. Riley. Yes, Regina's older than everyone in the competition. And yes, her taste in music leans toward older hits. But she does have a great, powerful voice that I can see Gwen being intrigued enough to hold onto. Riley, from what I heard of her, is sweet and nice, with a good voice of her own, but not in Gwen's wheelhouse. So I can see her advancing Regina and sending Riley packing. So this leaves the other remaining pair as Kota vs. Jeffery. Obviously, Kota should rate higher, given that she's a three-chair turn vs. Jeffery being a one-chair turn. But if Gwen's still obsessed with working with younger boys, then I think Jeffery gets the edge here, regardless. But if one of the Knockout losers gives a great performance, he or she could be Pharrell's steal. Final team for the Lives: Braiden, Korin, Regina, Jeffery, and Viktor. Team Pharrell Two pairs left here, as well. And regardless of how the pairings go, I think Mark's getting through, no matter what. He's the strongest, best person on Pharrell's team right now. Evan, Tim, and Siahna are all up for grabs. But looking at skill level and chair turns from the Blinds, I think Tim and Siahna are toast. Tim is very good, but not ready for the Lives, and Siahna is sweet and cute, but I liken her to Treeva Gibson and Jacob Rummell from last season -- young singers good enough to get to the Knockouts, but not quite ready for the Lives just yet. Final team for the Lives: Madi, Darius, Mark, Evan, and whomever he steals. Team Blake Two more pairs left here, as well. And I don't know how they're going to be matched up. I suspect that Blake will advance Emily Ann regardless of her opponent, and just as likely send Zach home regardless of his. So that leaves Chris and Nadjah. If he wants to stay in his own wheelhouse, then I imagine that Chris will go through and, sadly, Nadjah will go home. Chris was shown through both the Blinds and the Battles, while Nadjah was shown in the Blinds, but montaged through the Battles, so that'll give Chris the easy edge here. But if Nadjah gives a great enough performance, there's always the chance that Pharrell could use his final steal on her. Final team for the Lives: Barrett, Ivonne, Emily Ann, Chris, and Morgan. So those are my predictions. But with seven pairs left to show and the final Knockout show more than likely only going to show six of them, I wonder whose Knockout will get montaged? Last season, it was possible to show all of them because there only fifteen matches rather than sixteen (due to Anthony Riley's withdrawal causing that three-way Knockout among Sawyer Fredericks, Mia Z, and Paul Pfau). This season, not so much.

  9. I minded it. He's had thirteen seasons -- six-and-a-half years -- to get the hell over it. Plus, his loss was his own fault. He had ample opportunities to pull the trigger on J.T. and chose not to. His fault. So yeah. I minded his crying very much.
  10. Detours have both members doing them, so she would've had to do it with him.
  11. Agreed that Elizabeth Henstridge did a phenomenal job in this episode. I really felt all of Simmons's emotions throughout the episode because of her. And I wasn't bothered by her turning to Will since she did only do so after every option failed. I'm just glad that in spite of his obvious upset over it, Fitz still understood. We'll survive.
  12. If you mean toward the black girl brought toward the end of the show, her name was Deanna. If you mean when Starr and James were first starting up, then it was a white girl named Hannah, who came back herself near the end and nearly hurt poor little Sam.
  13. I'd say Tiffany & Krista and Kelsey & Joey are having fun, enjoying where they are, and embracing the experience just fine. You can tell from the former team's enthusiasm and exuberance alone that they're enjoying it. And I'd say that while Justin does seem obsessed with staying out in front, we have seen him enjoy the things they've done, as well. Same as Diana.
  14. Silly me. I thought everyone here liked it when a woman figured something out over a man. Oh, well Oh, and the "stunning death" on November 9th just has to be Aiden.
  15. That would be Ron & Kelly from TAR7. France has a version?! You must direct me to this!
  16. I actually wouldn't be surprised if this turned out to be a Chip & Kim-esque story for them -- starting out weak on the first few legs, but learning from their mistakes, getting it together, and (hopefully) winning the whole thing! I think this leg showed that they might have the goods for that. And on another note, I found their second-place celebration quite adorable. Just me, I know, but . . . I did.
  17. Her name was Alison Irwin. She came in second that season, but was out second in TAR5 through a combination of her boyfriend, Donny, coming up with the lame suggestion to do a Detour involving handling and walking ornery, horny dogs through a city (which did lead to the comical quote "Mine keep having sex!" from Alison when their dogs kept going at it during the task!), having to switch to the other Detour, and then taking a non-express bus to the Roadblock behind two other teams, both of whom did take the express bus. It's just you. I'm behind a fair few teams. I'm rooting for the two you just said -- Kelsey & Joey (the reporters) and Tiffany & Krista (the cheerleaders). But I'm also rooting for Cindy & Rick (Chac Attack) and, in spite of her annoyance factor, Denise & James Earl (the Alabama mother and son). On the other hand, I've moved from mildly liking Justin & Diana (Team Green) to fairly neutral now that it's been shown that Diana's probably not much of a prize herself, have moved Logan & Chris (the paparazzi) down in my estimation (due to all of the fighting), and cannot stand Tanner & Josh (the Texans), and don't see why anyone would.
  18. Team rosters/cheat sheets: Team Adam Blaine Mitchell (defeated Andi & Alex) Jordan Smith (defeated Viktor Király) Keith Semple (defeated Dustin Christensen) Amy Vachal (stolen from Team Pharrell) (Still Waiting) James Dupré Shelby Brown Team Gwen Braiden Sunshine (defeated Ellie Lawrence) Korin Bukowski (defeated Summer Schappell) Viktor Király (stolen from Team Adam) (Still Waiting) Kota Wade Jeffery Austin Regina Love Riley Biederer Team Pharrell Madi Davis (defeated Amy Vachal) Darius Scott (defeated Morgan Frazier) (Still Waiting) Mark Hood Siahna Im Evan McKeel Tim Atlas Team Blake Barrett Baber (defeated Blind Joe) Ivonne Acero (defeated Chance Peña) Morgan Frazier (stolen from Team Pharrell) (Still Waiting) Zach Seabaugh Chris Crump Nadjah Nicole Emily Ann Roberts Names in bold indicate someone who has newly won a Knockout and stayed on his or her team, or has been freshly stolen. An asterisk indicates that this contestant was montaged. So the Knockouts: Korin vs. Summer: Korin won that one, hands down. As has been said, Summer was concerned more about the spunk and sass than the substance of the performance. Korin focused on the song and message. And since Summer was montaged through the Battles, of course she wasn't going to get stolen. Dustin vs. Keith: I think the right choice was made here. Keith definitely killed his performance. Dustin was good, too, but there was really no comparison between the two. Darius vs. Morgan: I think this could've gone either way. But from what I could tell here, I do think Darius was deserving of the win. I just hope that being montaged through the Battles doesn't hurt him in the Lives. As for Morgan, she did such a good job that I approve of her being stolen and thus returning to Blake's team. Good for her! Okay enough episode.
  19. Other than choosing Ellie over Tim and Korin over Chase, has Gwen ever chosen a woman over a man in a Battle or a Knockout? I seem to remember her always picking men over women. I don't know why she fights so hard for women when she's just going to dump them over men. And two Adam Knockout and two Blake Knockouts, but just one Gwen Knockout and one Pharrell Knockout. Is there any question of NBC's bias? Team rosters/cheat sheets: Team Adam Blaine Mitchell (defeated Andi & Alex) Jordan Smith (defeated Viktor Király) Amy Vachal (stolen from Team Pharrell) (Still Waiting) James Dupré Keith Semple Shelby Brown Dustin Christensen Team Gwen Braiden Sunshine (defeated Ellie Lawrence) Viktor Király (stolen from Team Adam) (Still Waiting) Kota Wade Jeffery Austin Korin Bukowski Summer Schappell Regina Love Riley Biederer Team Pharrell Madi Davis (defeated Amy Vachal) (Still Waiting) Mark Hood Siahna Im Evan McKeel Darius Scott Tim Atlas Morgan Frazier Team Blake Barrett Baber (defeated Blind Joe) Ivonne Acero (defeated Chance Peña) (Still Waiting) Zach Seabaugh Chris Crump Nadjah Nicole Emily Ann Roberts Names in bold indicate someone who has newly won a Knockout and stayed on his or her team, or has been freshly stolen. An asterisk indicates that this contestant was montaged. So the Knockouts: Andi & Alex vs. Blaine: I'm surprised that Adam didn't stick to his desire to be the second coach to bring a pair to the Lives. Let this be a lesson to all pairs. Do not pick Adam. For any reason. Blaine is okay, but nothing special. Braiden vs. Ellie: I knew that Ellie would be knocked out because she was making some pretty bitter rants toward both Gwen and Ellie on Twitter while the Blinds were still airing. Pretty much hinted that she'd lost to him in a Battle or a Knockout. Seeing the actual performances, I can see why she was bitter. Even while sick, she kicked the kid's ass. I repeat my sentiment that Gwen wants Braiden as her Ryan Sill this season. Barrett vs. Blind Joe: Barrett won this. Flat-out. I loved Blind Joe's performance, too, but I'd have definitely chosen Barrett just like Blake did. Amy vs. Madi: Both were very good. Pharrell couldn't go wrong no matter which way he went. Madi made a bit more sense, though. Feel bad for Amy, though. She should've gone for Blake. Adam's gonna lead to her ruin, unquestionably. Chance vs. Ivonne: Oh, that was no contest. Ivonne won that one, hands down. Chance was good, but he paled in comparison to Ivonne. I bet her comeback storyline will get her the votes for a while during the Lives. Jordan vs. Viktor: Jordan was good, but Viktor was way better. It's frankly unbelievable to me that Adam's so in love with Jordan. Or that NBC is pimping him out so heavily. But I think Viktor will be happier with Gwen. He should've picked her or Pharrell in the first place. Pretty good initial Knockouts.
  20. Kelly also took it just as badly when the dad, Dwayne, called out her softness on Taylor as Missy did when Keith called out her softness on Baylor. I'd advise you not to have any sharp objects close to you when you get to the ending, @NutMeg.
  21. We saw Stephen go to Tasha about Joe, but she didn't seem as open to getting rid of them. So there was that scene, at least.
  22. From first to last. Kind of a shame after they cleared both Roadblocks with amazing ease. But getting lost trying to find the Bust a Crab Detour (why didn't they just find a cab to take to the restaurant?) and then having to switch to the Drops Mic Detour and not even doing well at finding or performing it has definitely put them in danger. Obviously, they'll be fine since this is a TBC, but if this were a normal leg, no question they'd have been toast. Phil would've come out to personally eliminate them by now.
  23. Logan should be thankful to and for Denise. After she failed once at her Roadblock (after Chris killed his) and wound up on a train behind the other teams, they needed a break and got one in the form of Denise not being able to rap in French for shit. They focused enough to finish the Bust a Crab Detour on their second try, and reached Phil in sixth. As much as they've become annoying, that was the perfect example of why you never give up on the race. The perfect example.
  24. Like the other teams, they cleared both Roadblocks very easily. I give them mad props for clearing the Bust a Crab Detour on their first try, too. If not for their incompetent cabbie, they'd have finished fourth, but had to settle for fifth instead.
