  1. What is this show anymore? There's the show I liked with Abbie, Jenny and Irving. Abbie and Jenny trying to figure out who or what Irving is now and whether or not to trust him since he could be soulless. I loved Jenny and Abbie's both verbal and especially with Abbie/Nicole's great facial expressions, visual dislike of Katrina. Thank you! Katrina has undermined your job as witness and police officer trying to absolve Henry and Abraham of their many sins, especially murder. She deserves more than smirks! I'm really interested in finding out what Frank is now. Was Henry the person who submitted the evidence that will get Frank cleared? Does that mean he's still indebted to him? Is he a Horseman now? (Will that mean his whole existence will be about Katrina now too! Oh no;) Then the other show, an episode of Hart to Hart with the husband and wife team solving a murder. Except without the cute banter and chemistry that Robert Wagner and Stephanie Powers had. I know Katrina isn't a very good witch but you'd think she'd be able to conjure up some chemistry with her husband! She even makes Ichabod boring. I don't get why the writers don't understand that two Colonial people together are boring. What makes Crane interesting is his interaction with the modern world and seeing that through Abbie's eyes.
  2. It's like I'm watching two different show. There's Revenge with Emily, Victoria and the crew and then an episode of Murder She Wrote with Nolan, Louise and her family. What's going on? I loved it when Nolan and Emily work together and try to take down Victoria or help David but he didn't even help on this episode, all the work went to Ben and Jack, while Nolan...married Louise! I hope they start integrating the two storylines. Maybe Louise can try to kill Margaux again or did Margaux forget about that now that she's trying to out revenge Victoria? Louise can kill Margaux and then Emily can kill Louise's mom, everybody wins! Anything to get more Nolan and Emily scenes.
  3. It's funny that everyone is debating about whether or not Louise's mom is dead. I always thought that she was dead and that Louise killed her and that's why she was institutionalized with Victoria. She was hallucinating about her mom because she felt guilty about killing her. I don't even know how came to that conclusion but I clearly have no idea what's going on with this show!
  4. I really was hoping that Orion knew her in purgatory. Didn't he mention that they were there at the same time? She looked like she knew he could blow the lid on her whole "good witch" act. I was hoping that was why Katrina was looking so nervous and almost hiding her face. Also when Orion did talk to her, she seemed anxious, backing away from him like she was frightened. It's like the director was trying to add something to the story that just wasn't there but should have been if the writers had any imagination or sense at all.
  5. I definitely think the Halloween show was filmed on Halloween, unless they made their neighbors dress in costume, decorated the neighborhood houses and what about those two kids that were trick or treating at the same time dressed as Spider-Man, I doubt they were plants. Also, on Halloween night, I remember a Tweet and photo from Jen, with Will, her mom and her friend (Suzanne?) who was also on the show tonight, thanking them for going Trick or Treating with her. I thought their Halloween costumes were adorable and Jen mentioned her mom helped make them. It just made me realize how her mom must have had to do a lot of sewing and altering of Jen's clothes and costumes growing up so she's probably a wiz at the sewing machine. Zoey has some great female role models in her family, very competent ladies.
  6. I think Louise might have been put in "a home" by the authorities after being deemed too crazy to stand trial for her killing her mom. The only problem with that is how was she deemed competent enough to be released? There have been a couple of comments that her brother hates her or is dangerous, that her whole family is nuts, so maybe one of them put her in there. I still don't know how she was released though, maybe a bribe? The actress is beautiful though, I love how they dress her in over the top, southern bell style, dramatic clothing! It just showcases Louise's crazy (and Elena Satine's boobs!)
  7. Halcyon Days, that post was a thing of beauty! I couldn't believe, like you, that Katrina had the nerve to think that Abbie and Ichabod owed her for saving humanity. First of all, it was her stupid kid that helped bring about the almost apocalypse. She really should be apologizing to all of humanity for that one and individually to all the families of the people he did directly kill with his stupid games, like the bank teller or Caroline, a character I'd trade for Katrina in a second. There are so many reasons I really hate that witch!
  8. During the Hawley and Jenny scenes, he had that egg that they smashed to get to the glowing sphere, was that actually used in this episode? What did that glowing sphere thing do? It seemed like th Hawley Jenny scenes were from an entirely different show. One thing I do appreciate about Hawley, which makes me like him over the other two annoying characters that need to leave the show, he's always on the side of Jenny and Abbie and willing to help. I was hoping that when Orion said he was in purgatory at the same time as Katrina, he had some dirt on her in there. It did seem like she was a bit nervous, a lot of shots of her side-eyeing him but nothing came of it. Really disappointing as I'd loved it if he'd taken her aside and told her knows all about her tricks or heard about her shady dealings while in purgatory, something like that but instead Katrina was right about him and Abraham and even knew the nightly lottery numbers too, I don't know what we'd do without her. Wish we'd find out though!
  9. I love the idea of the flashbacks being that this entire season never happened but I bet it's more that the mid season finale never happened. That awful Henry pretended to kill Moloch or made them believe it with visions or something but the whole thing was fake and we're stuck with that horrible story all over again. Hopefully, whatever the situation, we get Capt. Irving back. I'll take a do over or whatever it takes to get that to happen.
  10. I really enjoyed the Christmas special. I know that it's not the best written show anymore but the production values are so beautiful and sumptuous that even when there's a lull in the story, I just sit back and stare at the costumes or castles, it's just such a lovely, visual show. I'm so glad that Edith was happy this episode, it's been poor, poor, Edith for so long it was nice to see her get attention from her parents and a possible new suitor. As a fan of Tom, I'm glad to see he's going off to Boston. I think it suits the trajectory of the character, he worked at becoming accepted as family for Sybil and Sybbie's sake but his heart was always in politics and if he goes to Boston during that time he can take part in the Kennedy ascension, that should suit him well. He could always come back for weddings (hopefully Edith's sometime) and Christmas specials. I think I've seen Matthew Goode speak in three different accents now, an Irish brogue in a bad rom-com with Amy Adams, then a basic American accent on The Good Wife and now a proper, plummy accent on Downton. He's really talented because he's different but believable in all three characters. I'm a little confused with his character, was he a neighbor? Is he titled? Is he a race car driver. I know he seems to be Lady Mary's newest but I couldn't quite get who he was exactly. I wish they'd give Mary a redheaded beau. It would be really helpful for my grandmother who watched the show with me this time and couldn't tell this man apart from the past two guys that have chased after Mary! I can kind of see why Lady Edith doesn't want Mary to know about Marigold. Not only is Mary harsh and unrelenting towards her but what if she reacted the same way Edith did when something scandalous happened in her life. Edith wrote to the Turkish Embassy trying to get Mary in trouble, what if Mary decided to get even by divulging Marigold and Edith's relationship? I do love that the Crawley ladies have flowers for names, Violet, Marigold, Rose, it's charming. I bet Hyacinth Bucket would love to know her name and that of her sisters are so in vogue now with Downton Abbey. I used to watch a show called "House of Eliott" when I was a kid, it was shown on A&E here in the US and it's one of my favorite shows of all time. The costumes were exquisite but the production values of that show were so poor, it looked like it was filmed in someones basement. I don't know if things have changed that much in production in general or just that this show isn't with the BBC, so there's more money available but Downton really is a feast for the eyes.
  11. It's funny because I usually don't like bikinis but I liked the one Jen was wearing, it was more sporty than sexy. It's probably difficult for her to buy a one piece bathing suit. It wouldn't be proportioned properly for an adult woman so a bikini is the best way for her and she looked really fit and healthy in it. I was thinking when I saw her in that bikini that she looks so much healthier now, it was wonderful. I really loved Zoey's entire outfit but especially that blue, octopus bucket hat. People keep mentioning what happened to the fish that Bill caught but what do people think happened to the fish that Bill and Will saw in the fish market? They didn't voluntarily give up their lives. That's how people eat fish, they were alive in the water, they're fished out and then they die of suffocation. It's harsh and since I love animals, it's probably why I've been a vegetarian for a few years now. If you feel upset with what Bill did, then maybe you should try vegetarianism too.
  12. I'm from New Jersey and still say supper and sofa instead of couch. It might be the old English influence still on the east coast? I'm so glad that Jen is cancer free on her six month mark! I've been there with a friend who battled breast cancer and those tests are so nerve wracking but the still cancer free diagnosis always made her burst out into song. She's been cancer free for over five years now so she's doing great and it's good to hear that Jen's prognosis is excellent too. I was a little disconcerted by a couple elements of this show, the Ba Ba T-shirt product placement but mostly that big real estate ad they had right there in the middle of the show. It just seemed so weird to have a guy in a suit just walk on the beach and start talking about an available house, which just happened to be right behind Jen! I hope that if they do buy that house, they get a discounted price for the effort they put in to giving that development such good publicity. After all they do have the best beaches in Galvaston! It was all just a bit funny. I though the beach outing, minus the real estate stuff (although I did enjoy looking at that gorgeous home, I hope TLC buys it for them just so we can see it during filming.) was really sweet, especially Jen talking about how sick she's been and that this is the first time she's been able to really enjoy herself with Zoey since she's felt better. Also, I could watch a whole show of Zoey, sitting on the beach in her little sun hat, eating goldfish crackers. She's just darling. I also liked how Will zeroed right in on those M&M's and just sat there eating them, all relaxed while his dad did all the fishing. Those kids are gold!
  13. I always find Zoey remarkably entertaining because she seems like the only one who knows being on a reality show is just odd. Obviously Bill and Jen know what's going on and Will just seems to get along with everybody and everything, he has a fantastic personality and would make a great congressman someday like Jen joked about. What I love about Zoey is that every so often she just looks at the camera with a questioning, quizzical sort of "what on earth" look that's so natural it cracks me up. It should be strange having cameras in your face and Zoey makes that known occasionally just by the look on her face. I love her! She's just really bright and adorable. It was great to see the family back and Jen putting her medical degree and new found popularity to good use as always. Anyone who follows her Twitter account knows how much children's healthcare means to her. I liked her speech too, very smart, concise and with personal anecdotes of her early days in hospitals. I thought it was really poignant when she described how her family didn't take vacations, they went to Baltimore for Jen's surgeries instead. I hope everything goes well with Bill's surgeries and he doesn't have to have the spinal fusion, since the recovery time is so much longer. I like how you learn so much about Skeletal Dysplasia on this show, it's not only an entertaining and fun show but very informative too.
  14. In these interviews, Goffman keeps talking about a game-changing season finale. That he's heard the complaints of a passionate fandom, etc. I assume that means this show is going to continue on this loser trajectory until the season finale? Then it might change but only grudgingly since it's obvious where his heart lies. So is it worth it to stick around? I'm honestly not sure. The Variety interview with Len Wiseman, "How does the second half of the season differ from the first 11 episodes, now that Moloch is gone? What really takes a different turn is between Katrina and Crane, as well. There’s a lot of curiosity about why Katrina is struggling with her powers and her place in this war, and I’ve heard people say is her character underutilized — I would say there’s a difference between underutilized and not realized. When she discovers her full potential, things really get out of control." This quote might be the end of my watching this show because it's not just Goffman that can't get enough of Katrina, apparently Wiseman thinks her character is "underutilized" not overexposed but underutilized!! The Crane marriage was the first thing he mentioned when discussing the second half of the season. So depressing...
  15. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/12/01/sleepy-hollow-finale_n_6249652.html?utm_hp_ref=sleepy-hollow Sleepy Hollow' Fall Finale Secrets Revealed: Head Honcho On The BIg Shocker And What's Next. The writer makes some excellent Katrina points but Goffman just seems to swat them away like annoying flies around his Katrina poop pie.
  16. I hate Stevie, I want her to be sent to a secret CIA prison where she can be tortured just like the poor mass murderer she was whining about, that's how much I dislike that character. Really though, this kid doesn't have any friends in the area she can borrow a blouse from? The part I hated the most was when she complained that if she didn't have to "grovel" for money she wouldn't have had to be there anyway and would have missed the gunman. Shut up and stop bothering Blake! I wonder what she'll do with the torture information her mother gave her? Just sit on it and act all superior and passive aggressive towards her mother or could they be planning a story for her where she tells someone and then the press finds out? I did like Bebe Neuwirth's character's story ( forgot her name, sorry). I liked that she was adamant about not changing policy regarding diplomatic postings but after listening to the woman's argument and identifying with her too, she assigned her to Portugal. That was great.
  17. I remember jumping and spilling tea on myself (just plain green tea, not quince!) when Molloch ran at the mirror and it shattered in one episode. It was that scary and surprising. I don't remember the exact episode but with the Headless Horseman who wouldn't die no matter what they did and that scary, vibrating Molloch it was truly frightening. Now we have Molloch talking to Henry and he just looks like something from a Buffy episode, he's just not scary anymore. I was watching this week's episode with my husband and he saw little, baby Molloch and said "Oh, he's kind of cute, I'd love him for our Halloween display?" that's what this show is now. It used to be suspenseful, fun and frightening and now we're stuck with cute, little demons and a Headless Horseman declaring how much do I love thee, Katrina! Depressing.
  18. I wonder if that means Orion is an angel or at least celestial in some way? Sounds really interesting and a different sort of story for Abbie.
  19. Thanks so much for clearing that up for me. That mystery aspect makes the show even more interesting to me, particularly if the President himself might be involved. I just hope it's not Zelijko Ivanek's character who caused the whole thing, the actor always seems to be the bad guy in everything I watch!
  20. I'm confused, the SoS is mourning her friend who died suspiciously but he's different from the previous SoS, who also recently died and that might be suspicious too? Are they two different people or the same guy? Are both death suspicious? I like the dynamic between Elizabeth and Henry. I like that he's not jealous of her position but really understanding and supportive. He's even a great dad. It was funny when Elizabeth came home at the end of the show and her oldest daughter was leaving all grumpy and Henry was just , sisters were fighting, it happens. I just like his easy going attitude. Then when she started crying and sat on his lap, I just thought, poor guy, sleep overs with teenage girls, fighting daughters and now his wife needs comfort, he's never going to get that St. Thomas Aquinas joke done.
  21. Murray Goldberg reminds me so much of my dad, a curmudgeon of a guy on the outside but all heart on the inside. My dad loves the Phillies but the first thing he writes to me about in his email after going to a game is how long it took him to get home. Not the score or great plays but the traffic! It would be fun to see a bar mitzvah episode, just to see Bev go all out. I had a few friends that had mothers who competed for the best bar or bat mitzvahs in our area, each one getting more creative or outrageous. Just imagine what a Beverly Goldberg planned bar mitzvah would be like. Hopefully there'd be roller skating!
  22. I found Dana's quirks a bit too cutesy but otherwise I sorta, kinda, liked the show, I think. I'll give it another week anyway. I want to live in a huge, Manhattan loft like Dana's friend, big enough to do yoga in. I could barely turn around in my apartment in Philly, who knew trophy plaques were so lucrative? Also, how does Dana's friend (I only remember Dana's name, sorry!) know the guy that she set Dana up with? Also, was that Samir from Office Space? I thought that was him as one of the mean bosses.
  23. It was bugging me where I'd seen the lead actress the whole time I was watching the show. It turns out she was in Crazy, Stupid, Love a favorite movie of mine. She looks different here, short blonde hair as opposed to long dark straight hair in the movie, so that's why I couldn't figure it out. She played the babysitter that had a crush on Steve Carrell's character.
  24. I'm a musical theater fan so I'm a fan of Taye Diggs and his ex-wife Idina Menzel. I love how they use Broadway stars on this show, I want Christine Baranski, Natahan Lane, Taye Diggs and Michael Cerveris to just burst out into song in a very special episode of the Good Wife, maybe a fundraiser for Governor Florrick, any excuse to hear them sing. I don't know anything about law firms but can you just absorb that many people at one time? It seems like it will completely change the dynamic of the firm. Now that's just one other thing that Cary has on his plate. I feel wrong in liking Lemond Bishop, I know he does horrible things but Mike Colter is so compelling and smooth that I want him to beat all the charges against him. How Eli would think that Alicia could run for State's Attorney being Lemond Bishop's lawyer and not think that would be a deal breaker is something I don't understand for such a savvy political operative.
  25. So, could Frederick have actually cured Hudson? Wendy waved Fred away because she thought he was trying to keep Hudson quiet about his part in the mandragora stuff but in the end, she just let the poor guy die. When Wendy told Ingrid that there wasn't anything they could do for Hudson except make him comfortable, I thought, they couldn't just try with Frederick one last time? Who knows he could have saved him, he was going to die anyway, why not give it a shot?
