  1. Thats awesome! I'm all about how you feel about yourself, if that makes any sense. Whatever makes you feel pretty and good about yourself is what is going to make you be attractive to the rest of the world (IMO). I don't think that anyone feels awesome when their joints are in constant pain, or when they have limited mobility, or when they can't shave their own legs.....or they have to have sex furniture (yeah...thats right, I'm bringing that back up!)
  2. I tend to think she is eating much more, because of the various fast food wrappers in the car and the ice cream tub. I've eaten straight from the tub.....I've been that girl, but I don't remember the tub being quite that big, and I certainly wasn't doing it in my car. Because when you're eating ice cream in a car, you're kind of admitting that the majority of it is going to be eaten right there. This is why people who are going to take ice cream home, kinda make it the last stop. She is just shoveling it in, because of her food issues. And that, IMO, makes it more likely that she is eating way more than 2k calories and if she did cut to 2k calories she may lose weight. But right now, I don't think that anyone can really know what her baseline is at. I mean, at some point there will be a calorie deficit that will result in a weight loss, no matter how big she is. On My 600 Pound Life, those subjects can drop weight pretty quickly if they stick with the plan. The weight loss is drastic because they have smaller stomachs and are taking in a lot less food. But if the mechanics of less food = losing weight works in that situation, I don't see why a less drastic cut in calories wouldn't result in Whitney losing weight.....she just shouldn't lose it at the same rate as Dr. Now's patients. I would love for her to be on that BBC show "Secret Eaters" where they install hidden cameras without her knowing and follow her around 24/7 to find out what she is really eating.
  3. Its interesting -- I was watching a documentary on Marco Polo and it makes me like this show even more. Apparently, Marco's actual story included very little about himself, and his personal feelings, in fact there wasn't even a picture of depiction of him in all the stories he told. His story was all about the much more interesting characters he met along his journey. And I feel like the series gives us that feeling. The characters that Marco meets are much more richly developed than he is.
  4. I think it just went to show that Ahmed may have made up some of the circumstances because he took part of his story from this prostitute. Which just goes to show how crazy Ahmed is. I don't think its impossible that the prostitute was Ahmed's mom, it just seems implausible. Why would this woman think her son is dead if he isn't? Her husband died, right? So, she got part of it right -- presumably because the Khan's army stormed the area and went around killing everyone. Killing the males and enslaving the females. So, I would think that she would have seen what happened to her son to know that he is dead. I would also think that the entire force moves from the area at one time. I don't see the logic in dragging prisoners in waves. So, if the army is leaving the village on the same day at the same time with all the prisoners, wouldn't they leave with the mother AND her son if he was alive? So, the mother would know if the son was alive because she should be able to see them as they are all travelling together.
  5. Whitney having to put in work is why it would never happen. Oh Whitney would visit a nutritionist and a therapist....but then she would have a million reasons why it didn't work for her, or its impossible, or she can't do it, etc, etc.
  6. That picture looks like Joseline at like 10 burritos, a plate of thai food and then arched her back so her stomach is out. Hilarious....although if she got pregnant by Rick Ross, she may actually see some money.
  7. Yeah, I will drop this show like a bad habit if Rachel gets back with Jeremy. I think its a great show, but, no thanks. It probably happens in real life, I get it, but TV is about escapism for me...if I want reality, I'll watch an episode of Frontline.
  8. but how much shit did she talk about others behind their back? how many "mean comments" did christine make behind the backs of others? Yet, that wasn't where the outrage was....it was in her flirty behavior. So, she engaged in the same behavior Day did.....but didn't catch the same amount of anger and vitriol for that behavior that Day is catching.
  9. I hope so. I want to like Darius, because I want someone to root for on this show (although I'm rooting for Coleman if he is doing the expose with his google glasses)
  10. My criteria for viewers are people that express an opinion that I know view the show. So, yes, it ends up being people on social media/message boards. Other than that I don't know their opinion. And I don't think that either of those girls have gotten the comparative level of grief that Day has gotten. Day's "meanness" has been part of her gameplay, and she isn't saying the majority of her "mean comments" to people's face. Aaryan on the other hand, made it a point to be mean to someone's face. Had she simply been kinda mean and only as a means of gameplay, I don't think people would have been as tough on her as they are on Day. Christine's biggest fault that she was called out for, was being stupid enough to believe that a good looking guy would actually be into her...to the point where it looked like she might give up her marriage to a slightly less attractive guy because of it. That had almost zero to do with her gameplay. Again, I think if she had simply made some mean comments in the effort to further her game, she wouldn't have been called out for it was Day has been. As for "booing and heckling," I think CBS can either allow that to happen/encourage it....or they can be very clear that it is not supposed to happen. I've certainly heard stories of the "studio audience" being CBS employees for certain ousted houseguests. I also don't know how much bearing that should have since that is an even smaller representative sample of the viewing audience....and you don't even know how many of them would be heckling or booing. 10 people booing would be enough IMO to make a difference.
  11. She told him once...after her father caught them having sex and told her he was ashamed of her. I do think the circumstances matter, because there was never any other time, even when they were having their private conversation where she gave any indication that he wasn't good enough for her. So, I think it was simply a knee-jerk reaction from the confrontation with her father. And even if he felt like she should be let go, he could have done it in a million less harmful/painful ways. Instead he chose to blindside her on national TV, right after it all went down. Even if she expected too much from him -- she wasn't mean or nasty about it, she wasn't malicious, she came from a good place and had good intentions, even if they were misplaced. But blindsiding her on national TV? That is mean spirited IMO. And it was all designed to make her look bad....like he dumped her because she slept with him too fast and declared her love. The same locker room buddies he didn't want to upset by not letting her go for wearing that tee-shirt. They will not have heard the conversation about how she just wanted him to do more for the community. Because those locker room buddies would probably give him shit for dumping her for that reason. He could have kept her for a few more weeks and in that time, he could have found another quiet time to tell her that he didn't think it would work out. They have had time together without a camera. That would have spared her the humiliation of being dumped after being caught sleeping with Darius by her father, and the nation. He could have even let her win, and allowed the relationship to naturally die (how many of these relationships really survive long term)
  12. I was watching MSNBC Lock Up (which I love) and the warden at a womens facility basically said something to the effect of "most of the crimes the women commit were either about getting drugs or were over a man." She said it much more judiciously than I said it -- but it was basically that. And you would hear that a lot of these women were in there for killing an abusive man, or they were getting turned out for drugs, or they had to take to the streets to support a family, or that there was some jealousy over a man that caused them to act out, or that they were with a guy and both decided to go rogue. Now, of course, I'm sure some of these women blame men in the hopes of getting a shorter sentence....but it seemed pretty telling.
  13. I agree with the bolded. Day is being vilified for playing the same game that people have played in the past.
  14. He was a "gym manager" but it didn't quite look as fancy/corporate as an LA Fitness. I suspect its a "friends gym" where Victors biggest benefit is that he gets to workout for free. Him making Natalie feel bad about her body though? He could be the one in charge of signing up new clients.....because I think thats a trick of the trade.
  15. Comparing the levels of meanness, I don't think either girl has gotten the relative amount of grief that Day has gotten. If either of them had simply been somewhat mean, and a little paranoid in the name of gameplay I don't think they would have been nearly as put down as Day has been. There were a lot of people that defended Aaryan and found her entertaining. I'm certainly not going to dig through thousands of posts to find proof of that, because I don't think thats required, and its a waste of time. And I also don't think that Christine was ever as put down as Day has been -- if she was pilloried it was for....as you said for quasi infidelity with a man much more attractive than her. I remember her getting a lot of grief for that (and mostly it was "who does she think she is, she has a husband and this guy is way too good looking for her"). But far less "she is mean and awful at this game." In talking about Day getting grief I'm mostly talking about from viewers -- so the mainstream media doesn't really count to me unless it includes quotes from viewers. Or a poll from viewers, or some actual connection with the viewers.
  16. I don't think so. She just shared with Darius how she didn't want to disappoint her father which is why she didn't even tell him about going on the show. Because she knew he would disapprove. He busts in and tells her that he is ashamed of her for being a part of the show because she is so smart and talented and that this football player isn't good enough for her. She chose Darius over her own father in that situation. I can see her trying to reconcile the two situations by lying to herself and Darius and trying to convince them both that she can turn him into this man that will make her father proud of her again. I think it was a kneejerk reaction. And I get it, she loves Darius, but doesn't want to let her father down and her father just told her that she shamed him. So, she wants to make Darius into this person her father can respect so she can get back his love and respect. Having said that, I can understand why Darius might not be down with that -- I get it. But she had just told him in the bedroom how much her father means to her, so he should have some inkling of an idea that her reaction isn't malicious or cruel. And that it didn't require him to blindside her on TV.
  17. The two of them were able to talk without a camera while they sat on the bench, its not inconceivable that he could have found another quiet spot to tell her. It also need not be a fight, and thats no reason to even try to keep her from humiliated on national TV. At this point she didn't leave with any dignity. She is on national TV begging Darius to keep her, right after she slept with him. She will look like she was used for sex and was found not to be good enough for anything else. And sadly, her father is right, if Darius had encouraged her to leave with her dad, it might have mitigated some of the damage. But now, this will be the first thing people see when they google her. If Darius had kept her in the competition and dropped her later, it might not be such a hot story. But "girl sleeps with guy she really likes and then he dumps her" opens her up to the worst sort of slut shaming there is out there. And he didn't have to do it. And the beautiful thing is that America didn't get to hear the "I can make you better" speech. All America is going to see is that Ruby slept with a man, got caught by her father, admitted that she loved Darius and he rejected her under the well worn excuse of "its not you....its me."
  18. people say mean shit in this game a lot of the time. I remember Christine being mean I remember Aaryn being very mean I think frank yelling at people about a dumb ass pizza is very mean None of them get the same level of hate that Da'vonne gets, IMO. I don't think people liked Christine, but she wasn't pilloried the same way Da'vonne is. And given what she said, I don't think Aaryn got it nearly as bad either. And if Da'vonne is being super mean, why is she so safe and a core part of so many alliances? Clearly, people like her. So, than she probably is watching what she says to people which would, IMO, mean she has a filter. So then, she is getting hated on for what? Saying mean shit behind people's back? Which has been done. Playing somewhat dirty in an effort to further her game? Also been done in the past. For being paranoid? This game breeds paranoia. If Day is doing these things, its likely some plan or strategy she has for her game. Is it a good strategy? Maybe, maybe not. And of course -- people have the right to hate whomever they want, I'm not saying Day is perfect.....but I don't think she is playing the sort of game where it seems fair to constantly call her angry, or stupid, or to just assume that the position she is in isn't, in some way, due to her own strategy and gameplay.
  19. I like Da'vonne. I don't think anything she has done is so out of the ordinary that she deserves to catch the flack that she does. Some people play the game paranoid and they are hailed as geniuses. I realize that history is written by the victors, but still. I side eye people that have a burning, all-consuming hate for Da'vonne, because I don't think she is playing the game so very dirty that she deserves it....therefore I think the reason people hate her is based on something else entirely. And that annoys me.
  20. I don't know, you seem much more angry about Day than she is about anyone else. But, then again, I think its a little OTT to say that you could see Day ending up in prison over this anger that she hasn't even shown. However, I suspect we will agree to disagree on the subject.
  21. I get why Darius dropped Ruby. What I don't understand is why he couldn't tell her 5 minutes before he blindsided her with it? She just told America that she is in love with you. If you know you're going to drop her, or if you know its not going to work, maybe give her the heads up so she can go home with her dad. Let her go at the next "rose" ceremony. Talk to her about it off camera. But to have that girl sitting there begging you not to end a relationship....begging you on national TV when you know that you aren't going to choose her is cruel. She has clearly been raised to not take sex lightly. For her to do that with him, for her to reject her own father in the hopes of making it work was such a great sacrifice for her. And Darius couldn't be bothered with a 5 minute heads up? To me, thats BS. I get that Darius doesn't want to change who he is.....but his treatment of her was terrible. But he couldn't even grab her arm at the elimination ceremony and take her aside for a few seconds? Instead he let her beg for him on national TV? Does Rachel really have any power? Without Coleman's affection she is pretty much in the exact same position she was last year. Quinn is a bitch, but she does have power. She even officially had power from a guy who hated her (Gary), because they all knew that whether they liked her or hated her, she was the one that could bring them the show that made them all money. If Quinn decided to drop Rachel....Quinn would care....Quinn would suffer....but no one else would really care.
  22. I don't know, I've seen Bobby's ex-wife, and Ana looks a little too.....dried up to be his type. Its not even an age thing, she just looks leathery. She is....sort of a big deal for FNS, so I'm guessing part of her negotiation is that she gets to stay at least "x" many weeks before elimination. She brings the drama and the villain, FNS keeps her on.
  23. OMG, I don't think I've ever seen a still picture of her mid smile....that is frightening. I seriously cannot look at it for too long. I wonder if she has extra teeth....it kinda looks like she does.
  24. was she Jessie's girl? sorry, but you know I had to go there.
