I'm trying to piece this together. Is the pilot flashback part of 509 or will it be in 510 and they got Nutter back to direct? Considering he did the pilot, I'm in favor of the decision.

I honestly don't care enough about Curtis to wonder if his status quo at PT has changed in any way. I wonder about Felicity and Lyla because I care about them.
-
I assume Curtis is still gainfully employed at PT.

The Deadshot reveal got me not just because of Flashpoint, but because I do find it believable that he would still be alive given that we have never seen his body. I don't know, this storyline is progressively bugging me more and more. While I am all for Oliver jumping in to help Dig and Lyla going to him for a team up, I'm annoyed that I am apparently supposed to forget that Lyla is the head of Argus and has some serious clout. They're acting like she's, I don't know, Laurel. And this is not a dig against Laurel, but an ADA could realistically do nothing when it comes to the US armed forces. Lyla's position is vastly different. Or has she lost that along with baby Sara in the Flashpoint?

Dig and Lyla talked about John Jr. last night.

Tell me honestly, where's the difference? 402 vs 503

I think it's someone from production.

Putting this here because of DR. It feels good to see Dig back in the bunker.

I have some issues with scene endings in the episode, two to be precise. One is Oliver's initiation. I thought that was great in one of the promos, but I swear it was shorter in the actual episode and that robbed it of its effect for me. Two is Oliver repearing his bike at the end. Hello, hotness. Why haven't we ever seen that before? Also, would it have killed them to have 5 more seconds of it before Lyla came in?

I like the new suit fine now, but I still hate how the new hood makes him look. He looked really good during that green lit scene with Felicity last week. But the cowl goes up and it's meh.

I just hope Wild Dog doesn't get her killed. Have Felicity set up a college tuition for her. BTW, Artemis is an archer in the comics, isn't she? Evelyn hasn't shown any inclination towards it so far. Are they even going to go there and have Oliver train her in it? How is it even supposed to come about? I didn't find her fight scenes what you would call good, but I do think I'm meant to believe she's competent in close battle. Is she against guns unlike Wild Dog? It doesn't feel like they've given her any thought at all so far. I honestly can't even tell if she has been hitting the streets since Laurel's funeral or not. nd if not, that's an assy move on Felicity and Oliver's part to bring her in.

She posted a pic from set with Rick Gonzales on October 12. She also posted on with Joe Dinicol in the bunker yesterday, but that could have been from last night's episode.

That makes a whole lot of sense to me from a character perspective, because one of the issues I thought Felicity had last year is that she had laid herself completely bare to Oliver. Which is a scary thing and according to 406 she saw it as such. So I imagine it felt like kind of a slap in the face to realize that he didn't reciprocate.

Maybe there was one for the premiere?

Wait, when did this happen? Do you mean Lyla/Diggle? This was honestly the first time something sparked interest in me about her "relationship". Also, the fact that Malone has now been in all three episodes makes me think they're planning to use him for more than that. It's a lot. Man, I found it so sad that she chose to do it when neither Oliver nor Curtis were around. But all the kudos on having the guts to go through with it. Wild Dog is the dumb. Seriously, dude. And nice team work with dragging Evelyn into the fight without letting her know and without her mask. Bonus on ratting her out to Oliver later. Why are they acting like he has a leg to stand on? I'm betting he's the noob who bites it before the end of the season. I was mostly whelmed by Rory this time around after loving him in his first showing, up until his and Felicity's scene. He didn't really get to do that much, but I still like the actor, he's always present in scenes even when the focus isn't on him. I'm kind of glad that Thea messed up royally. I hope it means we're done with the pretext of her handling the entire city instead of Oliver. No. It's not a bad episode, but it felt more like an intro into next week.

So, Steve posted this. Putting it here since it could be that they're filming a flashback to season 1 to reveal something about Prometheus. Man, I love this suit. And what I wouldn't give to get at least the hood back. ETA: Oh, they're definitely doing a flashback and to the pilot, apparently.

I thought the hockey mask joke was in the last episode when Oliver strung Wild Dog up and asked him if he just wanted to be a guy in a hockey mask.

Doing what in an elevator? Is a part of the answer missing? Because this doesn't make sense.

The screener not creating buzz is not their fault. On the other hand, they haven't released any sneak peeks yet either. There has been one line teased by the writers's room but that's all.

I'm back to completely loving This is Us this week. I find it interesting how much Randall has been shaped by Jack and Rebecca while I can't spot the same things with Kevin and Kate. There are some traits that have been constant since their childhood, but if I had to say what relationship shaped them most into the adults that they are, it would be theirs. With Randall, on the other hand, I get regular flashes of that's Jack, and this week it was, that's Rebecca. I think what I like best about the parallel timelines conceit so far is how it doesn't turn maudlin or ask you to pity these characters, it just sheds light on how they grew into who they are. Also, I just adore baby Kate and, while it's not something that I have ever given any thought to, Milo Ventamiglia seems like he was born to play a dad. I really loved him with Kate in the kitchen and I've rewound the last scene numerous times without really being clear on what it is that's making me compelled to do so. Wonder of wonders, I didn't hate Toby. I'm not going so far as to say I liked him, but I think I badly needed some of his backstory to stop being irritated when he shows up.

The 100th episode party is this weekend.

The idea for a poster per episode/season is cute, but I'm not sure the end product is beyond reproach. They kind of look stilted.

I actually thought of Tommy when he mentioned it. And I never think it's Tommy. But yeah, shocking development in act 5 has got to be villain related. I don't know if this is true or not, but I will welcome it if it is.

Thanks. I found the photo with Rick Gonzales from August 12, which was during principal filming of 504.
