Just found the clip because I wondered who that guy was - I didn't recognize him. He's with GMA, but if you flip through to the 2:30 mark, you'll see the DCC. Kelcey is on the far right, but was out of shot in the snip above. I loved it too. I thought they all looked great, just all dressed for a completely different party. Per usual. @mizzhyer - on the far left? That's Caroline. Then Jaylyn (?), Chandi, Lexi, Amber (?), Gina, Ashlee.

Kristin does tend to be on the plusher side of DCC, but I’m always thankful there’s a handful that fall into that category! Maybe saying a lush figure would make more sense, but plush feels cozy and nice 😂 She’s still very fit, of course, but just build differently than some of the very lean DCC.

I’ll just be here by myself saying I like Lexi’s hair. I also think she’s tweaked her makeup, especially on her Instagram pics, and it looks fresher. I love her tho, she’s great. I think a lot of us pointed out some of the candidates last year that bailed on their “normal” dance jobs to take the one that kept them in shape and getting a paycheck. Marissa, A-R, probably others too. It’s a risk to be on a reality show, but if the editing was agreeable, got them exposure to boot. Good for A-R for jumping back into her full time dance career if she has that opportunity. I’m a little surprised Marisa didn’t do the same, unless her program didn’t resume. She’s young enough too that she might just be enjoying the lower pressure environment. Toxic as DCC can be, I can see where it’s easy street compared to the hustle of NYC or LA.

Amy is cute as a button, mature, reliable, and absolutely should have been on the sides. Like poor Jinelle, who I think has a lot more sparkle than Amy. She’s technically fine, just lacked that little something extra. It was like Maddie/Amy was a giant wholesome correction from the higher drama yet much better dancer mess of Erica/Jenna/Holly. I know Kashara filled it in, but at least she was fun. And I was still shocked AF she got triangle, much like she was 😂

Her back muscles are pretty freaking awesome. I wonder if the issue is the hair flips and neck rolls, or the impact from a jump split? I wouldn’t want any part of that with a neck injury either.

It was just so weird that they took 34, and then KFin later said that she wished she had taken Courtney, something like that. I'm like well good grief lady. Some years they're struggling to get below 40 and I'm like here's six that can easily go. And then they cut good ones to get to 34. Alrighty then.

But they’ve also had Lexie, so has done pro cheer several years, and Danielle too. More that I can’t remember too. Not saying you’re wrong, tho. 28% (?) are one and done by their own accord or because they’re cut, so not really a weird thing IMO. I was going to say maybe age is a bigger factor, but Danielle and Lexie were both in their 20’s too.

Loved watching this and also my kicks are terrible. While I didn’t live the combo, def an opportunity to show some technique! Have both of these Showgirls been cut from TCC? Seems like they both have the raw material to be successful.

Lauren and Gina have very different body types IMO, so I don’t know if that’s a good basis for comparison. But I do agree she looks good here, if still a bit too thin. But five pounds too lean vs alarmingly thin like some pics. Like with Lauren, she looks like she trains like crazy and also eats back her calories so she can really retain that muscle. She works for strength and good muscle tone too. Whereas Gina has a much leaner build, so her abs look more like she’s on a cut? If that makes sense to anyone. lol. I had a friend who did body building competitions and she was trying to explain cuts and bulks, and wanting to have enough protein to show abs but not look too lean and “stringy.”

I know I’ve said it a million times, but of all the years to split point, it was Holly/Jacie. They’re both so beautiful and so talented. That was a fire triangle! Still tickled that I got to see Jacie perform as a Rockette too. She’s so good!

Vivian is someone who is beautiful at any size (and I love her hair,) but wooooo this fashion choice. It’s not skimpy enough for lingerie but certainly isn’t regular day clothes and not quite club wear. Oh, Viv.

Slipping into "too thin" for a period of time doesn't mean someone has disordered eating the same way slipping into "too fat" doesn't...and of course it's okay to be thin. Obviously in America we have a huge problem with obesity, and that gets talked about all the time. We probably all know a million women who haven't lost their baby weight, for example, and there's the freshman 15, or any number of lifestyle changes that cause a lapse in our normal routines and we pick up weight. It happens quite often with the younger DCC in particular as they get out on their own and adjust to their new life. But it's certainly possible to be too thin, and that can cause just as serious of health issues as morbid obesity. I think the concerns around Gina possibly having ED are centered around the extensive photoshop/filters in the past two plus years AND her sinewy appearance. Most of the concern is probably coming from a good place, especially since she's grown to be a team favorite based on her dance skills. I suspect a lot of us (including me) are uncomfortable talking about it in a way we might not if a DCC was showing some muffin top. Could be completely subconscious on her part and it might take a friend going "hey, I've noticed you've lost some weight lately. Are you feeling okay about that and do you want to talk about it?" And for all we know, she might respond with - "I'm on a cut for a bodybuilder show! Or yikes, I've been so busy lately and noticed my pants are a little looser lately! Definitely gotta find more time to meal prep!" Or maybe she has some issues with body dysmorphia. Who knows? Just look at the Kardashians - all the money, stylists and make up artists in the world and most of the time their pictures are photoshopped beyond recognition. I would like to see concern about being too thin normalized the same way we seem to normalize being too thick. Gah, it's such a touchy subject and at the end of the day, hopefully we all wish all of the TCC/DCC good health and much happiness.

If this post were on Reddit I would give it an award! Gina is talented, seems to have a warm and lovely personality and like Holly85 said, a valued contributor to the DCC camp. She might also struggle with getting enough calories to maintain the active lifestyle she has, whether it’s a factor of no time or because she heavily controls her intake. Who knows, and that’s her business. But if others have noticed, some of the campers might have as well, and I hope those close to her talked to her about it before expressing their concerns to leadership. ED is nothing new in the dance world, so hopefully she has the support she needs to get back on track in a healthy way, the same way they do the ladies that are continually on WW. Which makes me wonder, other than the blunt conversation on camera with Kelsey several seasons ago (which was poorly done,) why they don’t talk about nutrition in a holistic way. Being uniform ready means maintaining a healthy weight on both sides of the spectrum. It takes a lot of calories to maintain the stamina required and still fill out the uniform nicely.

For sure looks like a combo, like they photoshopped the Stockyards in FW. It's been a minute since I lived in Fort Worth, but I legit don't recognize half of those buildings and some of the other ones don't look like they belong where they should. That said, there are some amazing locations that could work for a calendar shoot within an hour drive of DFW. And there are plenty of gorgeous sunrises and sunsets to be had too. And on top of that, it's not like Texas has many covid restrictions at all, and I've had multiple friends that have traveled to the Bahamas and Mexico both from DFW this year (they're nuts, but YOLO I guess.) So this seems like pure optics but they're shooting themselves in the foot too IMO.

This is consistent with what I remember too. I originally joined the forums looking for a “Felicity” recap…so 20 years ago? And have been on with this show since Day 1. Good grief that ages me 😂 I have other hobbies, I swear. I don’t know what it is about this show that just draws me in after all these years. I danced, but not like we see in today’s TCC.

I am REAL READY for this current eyelash trend to die out. Good grief. I’m all in for a nice set of falsies with stage makeup, but 80% of these gals got done dirty. A variety of closed mouth smiles or even smirks like Gina’s would work better with the bold lip too. Not everyone is born a beauty queen but I genuinely think many of these women are more attractive than their makeup or pose would indicate. Do better, Texans. Sheesh.

After they tried to exploit Shaina's horrific experience, which might be the worst thing we've seen a TCC go through in their personal life on the show, I had very low expectations for 2020. I think it could have been so, so interesting though, and I'm disappointed in the final production. A chance to finally update the show and do something difference since to @Tuxcat 's earlier point about old vs. new formulas. (I know I quoted you and then tagged you again, but since it was a few comments back thought I would refresh!)

Taylor was so cute, but wooooo she was an immature mess. She's one I would have liked to see dance in college and come back when she had grown up a bit. I wonder if she struggled socially with a high school or college dance team environment, though. She seemed like someone who was probably at her best doing her own thing.

For sure, but even the broadcasted version showed half-ass regard for Covid protocols, IMO. A bubble-ish, masked-ish, etc. Tho the only reality show I've really noticed that did a bubble like the NHL was the Great British Baking show. I'm not surprised, and Hannah probably wasn't either, but I wish they had just called her out for a bad attitude and left it there. As mad as many people were about Tara's dismissal, just as many people noticed she wasn't at her best and hadn't been for a bit, so could make sense of reasons to release her from camp. Questioning Hannah's dance was just weird and felt contrived to me.

100%. If Kelli had to pick A or B, it was always going to be VK, but I think if Dayton had been cheerful, prepared, enthusiastic and shone as much as Kelli knew she was capable, there was easily a spot for both on the squad. I think Kelli was tough on Dayton because she knew her so well, knew she was capable and was falling short of that. PLUS VK was doing the same and falling apart, and maybe Kelli just took it out more on Dayton. Kelli was in a bad position and didn't handle it well. Dayton handled things with a lot more grace, and you could tell she was beating herself up about it too. VK was just a total mess and blamed everyone but herself, then thankfully seemed to catch up to herself a bit the next year. At least from what was shown, the behind the scenes gossip would suggest otherwise.

Haha I remember thinking...she was valedictorian of her high school! How is she bungling this so much!?! And then picking up my phone and looking up exactly how big Chickasa, OK was. My bestie in college was also valedictorian in her class...of 36 peeps. She's smart, though, and Kalyssa seemed smart enough as well. Just a brain fart or a moment where even an intelligent person isn't as smart as a 5th grader! Agreed on Sarah too, btw, and I've gained an appreciation for her. I think she can be kind of a hard ass in some of the clips we've seen, but she seems to have a good sense of humor in her interaction with social media posts. She made me chuckle when she commented on the DCC Memes account on instagram. Some of those "team building" activities from earlier seasons were downright terrifying!
