I think “crafts” is a bit of a stretch for spring baking theme, but ok. They were pretty. I don’t think the judges even care or pay attention anymore. I think the producers tell them what to say and ask based on things that went on during baking.

I didn’t mind that they cut Murphy or the 17 year old kid who sings old country songs. I can’t imagine either one of them going outside their box without it being extremely awkward.

I cannot keep these bakers straight. I need a video of them with their families, or at work in their bakeries, or something, to help me distinguish them from one other. A lot of that bread didn’t seem like bread. The one guy even admitted he used donut dough.

This show reeks of being scripted this year (even more than usual). Does anyone know how they’re doing Hollywood week this year?

I was confused by the last episode. Did they really think their kitchen was going to be remodeled in a week? They seemed very put out that it was going to take two extra weeks to finish because of the leak. I struggled to get through the episode. I might be done with these people.

Are there more bakers this time? I can’t tell any of these people apart.

What was up with the country singer who looked like Katy perry? Was that an act? She was very strange.

This was confusing. Was she implying that racism was still a problem prior to Queen Charlotte’s marriage? That’s pretty recent as far as history goes. Even with her positive actions, is that enough time to change everyone’s world view to the point that racism is basically nonexistent now?

I thought the garden make out scene was hot! I was like, finally!! Simon is stubborn and annoying though. I liked Daphne better this episode.

It would be difficult in this particular adaptation where mixed race couples are the norm though... same with the old guy passing the baby off as his own.

Doesn’t it make Daphne look bad that Simon left town without proposing to her? I don’t get it.

That makes sense. The sexism in this episode was sad and appalling.

I’m confused about Daphne and Simon’s fake romance. Why are the eligible girls and their mothers leaving him alone now? Suitors are now flocking to Daphne so it’s obviously not considered a done deal. I agree with the person who said the lead actress is lacking something. When I first saw her, I thought the character was supposed to be bland but apparently not.
