As always, @MrBuhBye, you are correct. I forgot Danielle was years away from collecting her pension. I read somewhere that she’s been teaching since 2007 so if this was filmed last year and she had quit her job already maybe she had put in 14 years and would have gotten a pension bump at 15. I guess she couldn’t manifest the money needed to eat mangos on a beach hammock.

Can't she retire there as an ex-pat without becoming a citizen? According to DR's website: "Retired or pensioned residence visa: To qualify for this visa, you must be retired and have a minimum monthly pension of $1,500 plus an additional $250 for each dependent who moves with you. You will have to show proof of the pension, like a certificate from the government agency or company that administers it translated into Spanish." Wow, another reason she should have stuck out her teaching job another year!

I've seen several articles regarding her debt elsewhere, and we've discussed it here, but I don't think it was ever addressed on the show.

That pension cut for not staying in her teaching job for just one more year really has come back to bite her in her ample ass and I’m here for it.

Okay, relatively unscathed but estranged from his family. At least he put his relationship with Jenny first and married her against their objections. However, unlike Rishi, Sumit does have a married brother so his parents will be taken care of.

Just turned on my TV and caught the scene with Nicole grilling Es-cott about his love life. It’s like she’s auditioning for a cheesy telenovela. Don’t call us and we won’t be calling you! and WHAT’S with the stringy hair? She still looks like Olive Oyl to me!

I’m still skeptical about Gabe’s claim that TSA confiscated a full bottle of his meds, unless Florida has some specific laws that require labeled prescriptions. According to their website: “TSA does not require passengers to have medications in prescription bottles, but states have individual laws regarding the labeling of prescription medication with which passengers need to comply.” I’ve never had a problem traveling domestically or internationally with my pills in a daily compartment pill container in my carryon. oh wait, my bad, TSA is for LEAVING the US. Customs laws for entering are different: “Prescription medications should be in their original containers with the doctor's prescription printed on the container. It is advised that you travel with no more than personal use quantities, a rule of thumb is no more than a 90 day supply. If your medications or devices are not in their original containers, you must have a copy of your prescription with you or a letter from your doctor. A valid prescription or doctors note is required on all medication entering the United States.” I probably never had a problem because I was returning from a trip and my pill case was empty. Apologies to Gabe for doubting his story, still it wasn’t his first trip back to the US and he should have known better. I can also see him acting all cutesy at Customs and they don’t take any crap from people

Gabe has some of the worst tattoos I've ever seen on this show and that's saying a lot. What is with this woman in a bikini on his upper arm? Her legs look deformed. I wonder if Monica's boyfriend is the "artist."

I don't watch that often but I was shocked when I saw parts of the Homecoming episode and watched Alex and later Allie practically running as they wobbled down a flight of stairs that has NO hand rails! I realize a regular height railing would be too high for them but I would think they would have a lower one installed. I was worried Allie was going to take a header in that long dress.

Somebody on Reddit called it a "redneck dive" and there were dozens of other hilarious comments about it.
