Could this entire preposterous Angela/Michael story line be Sharp Shenanigans aimed at ratings?

Now POOF! Angela and Michael are back on the show. I’ll bet Sharp was waiting to see how this was going to play out: rejection or Possum Creek Mini Golf wedding.

I am stunned that they sent a camera crew to Nigeria just to film Michael's meeting with his friends, supposedly to tell them about the Visa denial. Then he never said anything about it, and just asked for their relationship advice. Could it be that the scene was filmed last season and just edited to look current?
