  2. So many things I want to say about this episode that has been said already... I think Chi Chi absolutely slayed Naysha during that LSFYL... I think that Derrick is very character driven, and can't imagine a world where you're not playing a character... this could be a good thing for the upcoming snatch game, in the right hands, but I don't think Derrick will be able to pull it off. The groupings were interesting, Team Best Friend Race, NYC, and Chi Chi and the Dregs ... The competition was good. Les Chicken Wings definitely did it for me. for Untucked... "I can see your halo..." was so brilliant. I'm keeping it filed and ready for use. Chi Chi was engaging in some next level game playing in there... after she was done crying that is.... the whole stretching, splits, and limbering, while technically necessary was also sending everyone a message that she was going to be a force to be reckoned with. I believe she got right into Naysha's head with that, and that is why Naysha immediately kicked off her shoes and attempted those... well.. soccer mom-ish round-offs ... I think this group of gals is even more focused on the public's perception of them... with Ginger's loss last year as a case study in making sure the public likes who you're portraying or else you're not winning... This is kinda rambly, but I was feeling all the things and needed to get them out. Loved it. loved it. loved it.
  3. I was so gagged about this. As butch looking as I am. (Butch queen first time at the balls) I would have been able to turn this out.... I did think that Fax! was marginally better than labia... That was auto correct but I'm leaving it cause it's hilarious.... So I thought she was going to stay. But as soon as Russ said BOTH of their names, I was all "ooooo!!!"
  4. I think the Raja/Violet thing is a 'one off' they did the same thing last year with Alaska and Bianca commenting on the first episode, but didn't keep it going, which gave me a big case of the sads.
  5. http://blandcanyon.blogspot.com/ She does a great recap... usually Thursday of that week.. but it's worth the wait. my favorite video recapper is Wilma Fingerdoo on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZNKsQVSBhFcQ2YstKGrEYg
  6. I"m going to give Acid Betty a lot of leeway on the "wanna be" remarks and the entitlement aura she's projecting... why? Because she's been around a lot longer than a lot of the queens, including a lot of the Drag Race winners that she was throwing shade at. She was iconic enough to be part of one of the challenges on Project Runway back in 2008 (season 1 of Drag Race was 2009) ... add that to the fact that she really did werk that "Make dat money" challenge ... She's on my short list for at least Top 4
  7. It totally was the 'talent' gods it was all so awful. Lets just pretend that it never happened. Also, how sad was it that Naysha was all "I'm going to lose bookings... " I don't think that holds true categorically for the queens across the "eliminated first" contingent.. but I may be basing that solely off of how well I see Penny Tration doing.
  8. Yeti that walk, Miss Thing!! Of the entrances, I was underwhelmed by Naysha and Cynthia ... Cynthia in particular is beginning to grate on me... particularly with that frog chirp thing from out of nowhere. Like the re-capper, I love a queen that is secure enough to conceal her face for her entry... Raja, Alaska, Vivacious, and now Acid Betty... Of the photos, my favorites, in no particular order were Kim Chi, Robbie Turner, and Derrick Berry... Naomi took a good picture, but I didn't like it because it was aesthetically out of balance. Of the challenge - I felt bad for Robbie in "forgetting" to assign himself a category, but I think the categories were assigned well... and like everyone else I'm aghast at a queen coming to this competition and not knowing how to do at LEAST a simple tube dress... all you need is one straight stich for heaven's sake. So for that sin, See Ya Naysha... you were gorgeous and beat for the gods... but, god I can't believe I'm going to quote Phi2, this show isn't about who can buy the best clothes... it takes other skills as well.
  9. Literally as soon as she mentioned Phi2 AND Alexis in the same breath I got a little queasy. That's someone who's going to either have a chip on her shoulder the minute she walks in the door... OR... is going to swing so hard in the other direction that it will be too sickly sweet to deal with.
  10. so if the new line up for season 8 is being announced at the New Now Next Awards, how long after that do you think we have to wait for the actual season? ... what the heck has Ru-Co. been doing for the last 9 months? Gestating drag babies?
  11. How about this... you have to at least hold out till the 8th day..
  12. Just saw the first showing of the "Christmas Queens" Tour... the bill was originally Willam as host, Alaska, Jinkx, Katya, Ginger Minj and Sharon Needles. Unfortunately Willam is still having some issues from back surgery and wasn't able to make it, so Jinkx took over hosting, and we got Jiggly Caliente.... in what world is a Jiggly a fair trade for a Willam, I'll never know, but, that crushing disappointment aside... the show was awesome. Jinkx is a wonderful MC.. Crass and crude at times, sometimes tossing out some highbrow jokes that may have missed a majority of the audience.. but a great enter-taint-er... and songstress as we all know. Alaska brought her specific niche and was a lot of fun Katya was close to the least vocally talented, but she was still the clear audience favorite. Ginger was a surprise... having lost 50 pounds, and bought a brand new corset, she was looking super glam... add that to her impressive vocal skills... I was very impressed.. it was a bit mitigated by her still very prevalent bitterness about the end of her season then there was Jiggly. I understand she was called in last minute to fill the bill... but damn... there's a reason she left the season before Willam did... not equitable. If this show comes near you, it's totally worth it. Do it. ETA: I drove ~3 hours to see this show, one-way... had to make the ~3 hour drive home after and still be up for work at 8 ... and given that, I would do it again, because this was a great show.
  13. The problem being is that Blake was speaking in colloquialism and was too dumb to be able to rephrase it in a manner that a non-twink person who isn't fluent in slang would be able to understand
  14. Here's the press release... http://www.newnownext.com/rupauls-drag-race-all-stars-2-premiere-on-logo/07/2015/ The end makes me a little afraid. Pure Spectulation ahead and here's the video
  15. This is something that a lot of young guys in the online hook-up culture are experiencing... the graphic nature of the picture is the intent of the picture as person A is trying to cement an assignation with person B ... the problem being... once you send that photo of you, you have no control over where it goes. Some, like me and perhaps JakeyJokes, learn this the hard way with a embarrassment that is just localized ... but when your potential audience is as big as these boy's audiences... that embarrassment is going to be much larger and widespread. tl/dr - don't trust tricks.
  16. Alaska's Anus finally drops. Buy it on iTunes!
  17. My favorite is *knock knock knock* Penny? *knock knock knock* Sheldon. *knock knock knock* Penny?! *knock knock knock* Sheldon.. *KNOCKKNOCKKNOCK*PENNY!! *KNOCKKNOCKKNOCK* SHELDON!!
  18. OOH! Also... Subtitle for this thread... how about: "SHE DONE ALREADY HAD HERSES"
  19. Oh that Willam... new album dropped, with 5 covers and 3 new songs, including one with LATRICE (Thick Thighs) where Latrice goes all in with her man voice... and I love it. Also a great little ear worm in "How much can't" ... "How much can't would a white girl can't if a white girl couldn't can't even... *tongue pop*" Here's an article about it in BILLBOARD magazine... http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/pop-shop/6590536/drag-star-willam-pop-parodies-new-album-book the album is "Shartistry in Motion" So much love.
  20. if you haven't yet fallen down the rabbit hole that is WOW Presents "12 Days of Crowning: Season 7" ... I highly suggest it. Notable videos include Bianca warming up the Crowd; Latrice warming up the crowd; anything with Katya in it; and Alaska's "Can I assssssssk you a quesssstion?"
  21. Regarding Raven and Raja's picks... they jive with how they responded in the weekly "Photo Fashion Ru-view" but I will say that the options they were given to re-hash were certainly ... shall we say 'curated' by the producers....
  22. To be fair, we hadn't seen Pearl's lip sync technique previously, and it did fit very well with the punk vibe of Dreamin' ... but only from here in the future looking back, can we tell that it wasn't *inspired* it was just her only move.. PEARL SMASH... and that makes it lame.
  23. I really adored the Bearded Beauties... the Glamazonian Airways... and the concept behind the conjoined twins/makeover challenge. I'm really enjoying this version of untucked, it feels less 'extra part of the show' and more 'behind the scenes'
  24. If the ruduction team is so wanting a big girl winner, I would like to see a season of all 'plus-size' queens... bring a couple back if you have to... but I don't want anyone with a waist smaller than Mme LaQueer... I would also LOVE to see an "All Stars - The Shade Brigade" where they bring back all the villains ... except for P2 ... i still can't with that one.
  25. This episode made me really wish that Ginger had a tougher shell... if she wouldn't have cracked and let us see the festering inside, I'd still be behind her. At this point, I'm now firmly in #teamViolet ... I think she has the most potential of the three left. Pear is pretty and all.. but she doesn't have the grace necessary.... if "PEARL SMASH" is your go-to move... you're effed as a drag queen. -edited out off topic ideas... putting them somewhere else-
