  1. Y is for the yacht Joey ended up buying at the charity gala Rachel's boss was hosting
  2. Kenneth Branagh is the King of Shakespeare as far as I am concerned. I remember Jack Lemmon saying in an interview that he was lost when filming Hamlet and then Kenneth came over and discussed the scene. He said when Kenneth says the lines, they all become clear but then he leaves and you try to say them the way he did, and you can't do it. As a member of the audience, I agree. I sometimes struggle with other actors and need to pull the play to read the lines and analysis to understand what they meant, but when Kenneth speaks Shakespeare, it's as clear as if he is saying hello. He has a gift! I love KB's Hamlet and actually got to meet him at a cocktail party before the movie premiered in Houston. He was very nice and funny.
  3. I actually loved Monica and Chandler together and rooted for them way before they became a couple, but I wanted to highlight this because one of the reasons I liked them so much is for things like this. Yes, everyone told Chandler that Monica would kill him for changing around her stuff, but she was totally cool with it and told him she didn't expect him to cater to her neuroses. I agree that they took Monica's quirks way too far, and Matthew Perry is a much stronger actor than Courteney, but I loved the moments between them when they seemed very much like a real couple who loved each other "as is."
  4. I actually get much more annoyed with Hank than with Evan these days. I can't be bothered to remember too many details about this show, but as this episode continued I remembered that I was over all the snide remarks Hank makes about and to Evan. I will sit quietly in my liking-both-Evan-and-Boris corner now.
  5. I love the episode in which Alex teaches preschool. I also love when Steven helps Mallory on her science project.
  6. B is for Bloomingdale's, Rachel's place of employment. (Or for Monica's fake boob - take your pick)
  7. X is for the x-rated stripper club the girls took Chandler to in his effort to get out of Phase One
  8. I dislike the flashback to London and the reveal that Monica wanted to sleep with Joey. I think the show did an awesome slow burn of Monica and Chandler so that when you saw them in bed together, you were surprised but could definitely tell they made sense as a couple. That flashback undermines all the build up. It is high on my worst scenes list
  9. V is for Vermont where Ross and Emily saw a deer eating fruit from the orchard
  10. I have no sympathy for Amy so the show isn't succeeding if I am supposed to find her antics sympathetic. Their relationship isn't cute or funny.
  11. A is for the airport where Phoebe likes to hang out in case they leave one of the planes unattended
  12. Heartbreak Ridge. I cannot stay away from that particular Clint Eastwood movie. I wish I knew why.
  13. Z is for Ross bribing Mr. Zelner to get Rachel her job back. Have we done Phoebe yet?
  14. I am tired of books and movies that tell you the story from the villains' perspective so that you can learn they really are the true heroes and have just been misunderstood all this time. Wicked was clever, but the rest now just feel like rip-offs of it.
  15. I think David Schwimmer has some of the best reactions on the show. One of my favorite moments is the expression on his face when he might get Ugly Naked Man's apartment and Phoebe and Rachel get him away from the window by jumping around. The look on his face when he joins in is priceless. I also love his expression change during the revelation: "My best friend and my sister!" "You were worried about me!" He's a good actor.
  16. So do you think they had sex the night before he left?
  17. Oh my goodness, Grease and The Breakfast Club are the worst for exactly the reasons you mention!! When I first saw Grease I was young and thought it romantic. My parents then saw it and forbade us from watching it again, explaining how not romantic it was. Years later I stumbled across it and tried to watch. Really awful film! I saw Breakfast Club in high school and spent my time yelling at the screen. What a bunch of whiny brats! Lost in Translation is the film that taught my husband and me that if the majority of reviews describe it as "quirky," the movie is not for us.
  18. How in the world could Dean be so important to the Chopped brand that his no-show is worth a $5 million lawsuit? Probably not the reaction they hoped I would have when watching the episode.
  19. "There's something I have to tell you. Dad wanted to, but I won the coin toss." - Niles "She's making her annual pilgrimage to the holy land." - Niles "I thought she was going to Dallas to visit her sister." - Martin "Well, that is her holy land. It's the site of the first Neiman-Marcus." - Niles
  20. C is for Carol, his ex-wife
  21. Is Dr. Wexler the one who told Charlie that Tori was divorcing him?
  22. Hasn't it been established that it's Sheldon's apartment? Sheldon has been living there forever, and Leonard moved in with him? Leonard knows how Sheldon deals with change, but in the initial conversation about that change he throws in an option on the table open for discussion Sheldon moving so that Leonard can give Penny the life she deserves. And then he seems annoyed that Sheldon freaked? Stupid Leonard.
  23. I cannot stand the ending in "A League of Their Own." The little sister is such a spoiled little brat that I am royally pissed each time Geena Davis drops the ball. I can't even watch it anymore because I know it's coming. And that makes me sad because I am so interested in every other character. Lori Petty ruined that movie.
  24. Was anyone else bothered by Leonard suggesting that Sheldon move out? That conversation rubbed me completely the wrong way, and I blame Leonard for it.
  25. I think I was forever labeled a curmudgeon among my friends because I found nothing romantic about her dumping the necklace in the ocean. For goodness sakes, sell the thing and start a foundation in your boyfriend's name. A real story about the Titanic can bring me to tears. This movie? Not so much.
